This review is for the passport services. We dealt with employee Lisa. We showed up on time for a 10am appt and waited about 10 minutes, which was fine. We had everything ready including photos and docs, but there was an error on the application so we had to fill that out again, which took about 5 minutes (so 10:15 now). Lisa said we would need to reschedule our appt since she had another appt every 15 minutes and she didn't know how long it would take to get back to us. My wife pointed out that we were on time at 10am and if we had started on time at 10am there would have been plenty of time to get everything done in our 15 minute window. Well Lisa DID NOT like that kind of insubordination and started acting pretty nasty towards us. We were pretty frustrated but decided to wait since we were there with all the stuff and didn't want to come back. After about an hour of processing other people Lisa told us we were "lucky" she decided to fit us in. After everything was done I asked her for a copy of completed application, and she refused. I explained one might need a copy of State Department requested more info etc. I was not asking them to make a copy, just wanting to take pic on my phone so I had a record of what we submitted. No joke, Lisa said I was being an "ass." We had never raised our voice or called anyone a name during this whole thing, so her comment was pretty outrageous! So if you decide to go this post office be prepared to wait a LONG time then be cussed out for trouble. read more

My review in regards to the passport department. We dealt with Jennifer. I came completely organized with all of my paperwork. The entire process she seemed as if she had zero clue what was going on. She would request documents I had already given her that she had lost in her own pile of papers. Completely disorganized. I left with zero confidence that it was processed correctly, and sure enough a month later I got an alert from the state department saying they were missing documents. My mail box resides in this multiple house cluster of mail slots (not at my actual location) and I am done ordering items that may be transferred to USPS delivery. My items on average never end up in my mail box- so if the recipients have no semblance of integrity my items go to whoever. We (plant side employees) have had a drunk supervisor a couple weeks ago. We requested to meet with the plant manager and never heard anything back. We ended up reporting the supervisor to postal inspector hotline. The supervisor was only gone for about a week at the most. Upper management and union rep defend the supervisor over the employees. The supervisor constantly creating a toxic work environment. He hasn't been let go because he is friends with upper management and they are alcoholics themselves or alcoholic sympathizers. Employees are constantly being asked for their doctors notes for missing work due to health issues but the supervisor was missing for a whole week back in sep/oct timeframe and no one had a clue where he was and didn't get ahold of him for several days. If I could give them zero stars I would. Yesterday we received a call that someone who works for the Cheyenne Post Office on Converse St threw away a bunch of mail in the dumpster at the apartments across the street from the location. I am assuming this was most likely a mail carrier committing a felony. The person who saw this happen graciously reached out to us letting us know that we had mail that had been thrown away. This mail was extremely important State legal documents. I will be contacting the Postmaster also to file a complaint. There needs to be legal action taken against this person. read more

I had an express delivery for Sunday, December 24th. The package was out for delivery and I received a message at 5:36pm stating delivery was attempted but the driveway or door was not accessible. B. I was expecting a package yesterday by 8:00 pm. It was scanned into the Cheyenne post office at 3:47pm. It wasn't delivered that day but rescanned this morning just after midnight to appear as though it just arrived. Just now, at 3:46pm I received a text saying it was delivered except there is no package. The repeated failures of this branch of the USPS has prompted me to create an account and write a review. Since I am unable to get in contact with anyone in charge I hope that my review (and apparently many others) gain traction. I get the wrong mail around 3 times a month, and that does not count the times the same letter comes back to me. In less than a year I have had five failed deliveries: 3 of the times I did not even get notification that the package could not be delivered (I found out via amazon email). 2 other times I went into the post office to pick the item up, and the package they knew they could not deliver was out for delivery again. Just recently I ordered a nice modem and it was given to my neighbor. I am fortunate to have honest neighbors. I canceled my amazon prime account because USPS is not dependable. Solution: My frustration says close down the USPS and let the professionals deliver packages (UPS, Fed-Ex, etc.) Realistically, a leadership change is required. Top down the person in charge and the persons in charge of delivery and sorting. New leadership with a new S.O.P. might be the only hope. read more

The people at this post office are super sweet; I've had to pick up packages and request lock changes since we just moved to Cheyenne and they're always super quick and accommodating! The line moves quickly and they're always smiling. read more

In the last year we have regularly received notes that they were "unable to deliver a package" because we were not at home. We have even seen them leaving the note in the mailbox which is 50yds away! I absolutely hate when I see a package is come via USPS. This office is always late. Be sure to add another day to the estimated delivery. Also they consistently leave mailbox keys for packages in the incorrect box at apartments. I'm sure I will never see my package. Zero trust. read more

This is a horrible post office with apparent poor leadership. We had 2 packages that were be delivered and they said they could not access the delivery area. This in nonsense. We have 2 ways for delivery. One is to the front door of our house. The other is the postal boxes banks that are in a small structure that is open on both ends. This is the worst post office in Cheyenne and maybe anywhere? The lines are always long. Very seldom do they have enough people working the counter and the ones that are there show no signs of being in any kind of hurry. They have one speed and it is SLOW! Lines can be almost out the door and some of them just don't care. They even carry on conversations when others are waiting. And when you have to call them, good luck! I've had nothing but exceptional service from this post office. They have great hours, and open early. I've had packages that I have dropped off in the inside dropbox, that have gotten scanned as shipped the same day, even though the post office was closed. She seemed a taf bit annoyed but polite none the less. today when I called I spoke to her again this time she was very rude. I went to the large Downtown Post Office in Cheyenne, Wyoming today 4/17/2018, about 2:00 o'clock, and a male employee who had a ponytail in his hair was working there. I said, "Can I have or "buy" a piece of tape because this envelope seal is loose on the edge." I showed him where on the envelope. He answered "I am not allowed to put a piece of tape on the end of an envelope, I am only allowed to put it in the center of the envelope". However, I didn't ask this postal worker to do it for me, I only asked him for, or to "buy"a piece of tape. He would not sell me the tape. I repeated the statement I would like to buy it. I also did not ask him to put the tape on for me, only to give me a piece of tape. He said he could only give me a small piece of tape, (he gave me a piece approximately 1" long. and insisted he had to put it on in the middle of the envelope.) He then took the letters from me. He was typical of the stereotype people have of postal workers, crazy. He would not have done this if he was trained correctly to work with the public. I doubt anyone trained him to only put a piece of tape on in the middle of an envelope and leave the ends open as they remained, so the PO only deserves one star. read more

Cant ever get through to talk to an employee and if you do,Employees are rude. Delivery personnel deliver mail to other people's address therefore causing privacy issues. Since my carrier retired New Mail carriers need to learn how to read and learn how to match address on mail to addresses on the mailbox. Really not that hard to do. They drive house to house instead of walk and half the time my mail is not delivered until 8pm. No wonder they are going broke. Their service sucks anymore. Terrible place to do business with. This post office has some of the rudest, most ignorant staff I have ever encountered at a post office which is really saying something. A short little man, employee "Chris" in particular with the gross arm tattoos was incredibly rude and dismissive. For this reason and others, I will never return to this place. Another time I walked in and was the ONLY person there, there were three staff members gossiping behind the desk. They completely ignored me. I even called the manager who defended her employee rather than hear my complaints. This backwards town is full of low-lifes and deadbeats anyway so I know not to expect any more. I have lived in Cheyenne nearly 10 yrs and only the past year or so have had trouble with mail delivery. I live in a apt complex with more than 40 apartments. We have a mail ''wall'' in the front lobby that is secure. Unfortunately we lost our regular mailman to retirement nearly 2 yrs ago. Now we apparently have ''subs''...I say plural because I have seen several, mostly females. If packages are in the delivery, they are left in hallways, in front of doors...out in the open for anyone passing by. I have lost and reported two pkgs in the last 3 months. The last one was a few days ago. I was home and no one knocked on the door before leaving the pkg. Just dropped it and took off. I was a few feet away and must have heard something because I looked out the door and found it. NOW, the issue is, I went to the Amazon site, looked up the delivery and the postal worker indicated that ''the pkg was HAND DELIVERED TO THE RECIPIENT''. This pkg would have cost me $30.00 to replace. The other one a couple months ago was never recovered. Diabetes Testing supplies worth over $100. How can we keep trusting the service if the carriers don't even make the effort to get our mail to us??? read more

This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered. A package was to arrive to me on March 31. The tracking says it left the Cheyenne USPS facility on March 30 and it's in transi to me in Cheyenne.. Now 6 days later i still haven't seen it. I went to the PO and they said they don't know what happened to it, that it was sorted but never reached delivery. Gave me a supervisor phone number to call. Called and left 3 messages. Called the main PO number and got a voice mail but the box is full so I can't leave a message there! Ever since they built the facility on Converse, custormer service has gone downhill. The lines are usually ungodly long and there's generally only 2 people helping. What a lousy business!! They have a monopoly on the mail, and they show absolutely no signs of caring or changing!
