Our company ships samples once or twice a week, so I'm in there often, and honestly every person there has been helpful, organized, and quick to help -- but mostly I notice they're all efficient to get people in and out and on their way as quickly as possible. I like the fact that they don't waste my time and get me out the door as quick as I can. Since Covid started, I've notice how freakishly busy shipping has gotten. There's sometimes half a dozen people there waiting in line, and the UPS team at Hamilton will often call out to or walk the line to ask if anyone has pre-labeled packages, so they're not standing there for fun. It's a group of really unique people who all seem to answer the same questions every day, figure stuff out for people who can't remember their Aunt Suzy's ZIP code, and politely tell people they can't take FedEx packages. I've even seen them literally show a guy how to open their front door when the guy couldn't figure out how to push. Seriously. So I've noticed the best thing you can do is to figure out in ADVANCE what you're trying to do and where you're trying to send your box o' goodness, to help them do their job as best as they can. Anyway, cool people there and I appreciate their help each time I go in!

this somewhat hidden, easy in easy out post office failed to serve recently. they could handle the…read moresimplest things, but when given more complex queries became confrontational or claimed ignorance of basic processes. The assistance ranged from completely cheery and competent and kind and efficient, to surley, hiding behind made up rules bordering on confrantational, and frankly, somewhat provincial behavior. Could have been better. the first part of the interaction is why I root for USPS, the second half is why the public sometimes do not support them. It would have been so easy to have been nice. But I was alas not from Lamont; I think that mattered too much to them. They are not a LPS (lemont postal service), but a US postal service. Not that this will influence their evaluation, it might help you, and reminder to self, if you are trying to avoid the large, too busy but on point post office in State College, try the one in Boalsburg, where I've had better luck.

I got a text stating it was delivered @ Hamilton UPS Store. I drive 55 minutes to get there NO PACKAGE. This Package Requires Signature. The Driver took the package and Rerouted my package to another LOCATION DELAWARE. WITHOUT PROPER Authorization from what I put in the system. I have pictures, texts and proof of all communication. I spent literately 3 hours on the phone. Who gave the Right to Deliver the Package without a signature. Plus if you call to track this package it states it was delivered to the original drop off. But online it shows in the State of Delaware. I should of paid the $5.00 to have it shipped to my new address.

Because I had so many different items in my box, I said "random things." My answer appear to infuriate her, and she replied I need to know what sort of random things are in this box. Then she asked if I had an itemized list of the contents. I told her that I did not, but still demanded to know what was inside the box. As I tried remembering all that was inside, she rudely interrupted me and asked her usually litany of questions: "aerosol cans? Electronics? Batteries, etc." To which I replied no to each. Why didn't she ask me that in the first place? She didn't have to be a bitch about it with me. The folks at UPS Store/Colonnade told us it wasn't worth our while. Who turns away business? I guess it's people that want you to come back. Which I have, time after time and will continue to do. People who know me on this site or elsewhere know I don't get enthusiastic about much of anything, let alone a store that transports packages and other stuff, prints in 3-D and packs like the pros they are.

This post office is in a nice, convenient location in downtown State College. This is an actual…read morefull post office as opposed to the location on campus. There are PO Boxes, and what I love most, the automated shipping kiosk. With that thing, you can ship things 24/7. I wouldn't worry too much about parking. You can usually find a spot somewhere along the street.
