If I could give 0 star, I would. I tried to print my digital card at the store, and I have no idea about the card's size. But I cleared about the size I wanted should be like the normal driver license. The assistant gave me a confirmation and irresponsibly wrote down size as 4x6, which was a size much larger than the driver license. I asked about a reprint, but they refused to take responsibility and insisted that the information they wrote down was "4x6". This terrible store played measurement and number games with their customers. Horrible. read more

I don't normally have an issue coming here but today a young white boy named Tanner helped me. I say "helped" loosely. I'm clearly standing there with my item and a white lady was standing behind me. He looks at her and says I can help you over here. I say I'm next and he rolls his eyes and helps me begrudgingly while pretending to finick around with his computer so I stand there longer than I have to. Today was a little bit different, I was attended by a woman which I won't name and when I expressed my concern for how a shipping address was showing up, she rolled her eyes, and lifted her hands in the air. Have used this store to ship and for returns and never had an issue. For this reason I'm still giving 2 stars to be generous. For notary services go elsewhere. Worst experience I've ever had with a notary. - They refused to complete a form in deed package that the closing coordinator specifically said was for them (and said the same in bold letters). Our broker in Pennsylvania with over 10 years of experience said he never had a notary refuse this form. The notary said our form was "mass produced" and maybe intended for other states, but it's a Bucks county closing service and noted as such on the form. I'm no expert and I think we have a viable workaround, so at this point I would still not bother to leave this review but not a smooth start to our experience. - Then the notary missed state and county fields I had to point out for them. Still no big deal, but we were already frustrated. - Notary seemed to be rushing us out at this point but I was being systematic, in part because the notary spread the 17 pages all over and had them all out of order. - I found another form that needed notarized while I was going through one by one and comparing to another blank set of forms that thankfully I brought along and kept in order (out of the hands of the notary and owner). - While paying for this "service" the employees got snippy with another potential customer over tape. That person left. Any of these issues alone is understandable. All of them together is inexcusable. read more

If you are an Amazon customer trying to make a return, do yourself a favor and go to the Amazon Store downtown. The staff at this store was totally unhelpful and incompetent with absolutely no customer service. I had a shipment damaged by UPS and they wanted me to repackage it or pay them to do it. That seemed a bit absurd to me, so they encouraged me to go to the Amazon store. I did just that. I was in and out with absolutely no issues and they were kind. Skip this place! Updates: More details since Vic (owner) seemed put off by my review. My package was damaged during UPS shipping. I brought my package to a UPS store, who then claim zero interest in making right what happened during their shipment (Amazon didn't break it). But alas I was informed, you are not UPS; you simply enjoy the benefits of using the name to draw business (Can't have it both ways, Vic). As well as plastering the "Amazon Return" everywhere you can online, which you most certainly are not. Your staff was anything but courteous, helpful or polite. If your store is a print shop, call it a print shop. Bottom line, I was in and out of Amazon store in less than 2 minutes. This location has the rudest manager. I have been there many times, and mostly have been met with rude, impatient staff. I response to your response... UPS left the package on my doorstep leaking, so they did transport a leaky package. This is the second time this has happened, and your store return shipped the first package that this happened with 2 months ago. The girl that helped me first the other day, said she would return it for $3. You not being able to return ship the package for me has nothing at all to do with you being considered rude. It was the matter in which you handled the situation that made you rude. Check some of the other comments here, you'll see I'm not the only one that considers your store to have rude management and staff. read more

Pricing is way out of line for shipping. While the service is fine, I would not go to UPS store for shipping uin the future.

This is a great place to drop off pre-labeled things you've packaged yourself. Beyond that I'd look elsewhere... I needed to send a set of speakers in two boxes. The estimate was over $200 for just UPS shipping, never mind packaging. I went home and printed off a label from UPS's website for a multi-box shipment for under $60. I've lived in the area for over 10 years and have used this place often. This experience is fairly consistent. Do yourself a favor and print a label at home, slap it on a box, and then take it to the UPS store. read more

On one of my worst days, the UPS Store came through and helped me achieve something great. I will never forget them or their bubble wrap. I needed help with an obscure aspect of their business offering. I'd prefer to keep it anonymous. What I thought I needed, they said could not be done. I was irate. I stomped and scowled like a small child denied a lolly pop from the creepy man in the ice cream truck (why is he selling lolly pops?!). Their grace, patience, and help in response were startling. Their problem solving skills combined with aforementioned attitudes prevailed. My problem was solved in a short amount of time. Go to them in your time of need. See how they can help. This place is a paradise of competence and genuine friendliness. I wish Coleen and Jim could bottle this and sell it to other smaller merchants service businesses. They're fast. They're reasonably priced. The store is clean and well kept. The service is prompt. They follow up your transaction with a confirming e-mail. And when they say something, you can count on it. At one point we were considering sending our luggage to an overseas destination via UPS. We thought it would save time, money and hassel. The folks at UPS Store/Colonnade told us it wasn't worth our while. Who turns away business? I guess it's people that want you to come back. Which I have, time after time and will continue to do. People who know me on this site or elsewhere know I don't get enthusiastic about much of anything, let alone a store that transports packages and other stuff, prints in 3-D and packs like the pros they are. read more

Trash!!! My husband went to take 2 sets of passport photo. The first time they assured him it is accurate but then our attorney said it is BAD because the background is kind of orange and gray. So we went back two days later and they fixed the background exposure to lighter but still not off white or white. It is freaking gray! And a male staff(are u the government agency employee) insisted it is right. I'm like wth... I would give the customer service a 0 star rating if possible. I have been to taking passport photo at Walmart which is much cheaper and a higher quality with better customer service. read more

This UPS is the best location I've been to! I am frequently in here for work, always need a million copies, and most times never send them the correct formats for the prints! The manager and employees are always so very nice and always so helpful! They always have my prints ready before I get there, are patient with my mistakes, and the order is always correct! The owner of this UPS store has made it so uncomfortable for me to go in there, I have taken my business to a different location. It's unfortunate because the rest of the staff working at this specific store are extremely personable, efficient and fast. Make sure when you go to this UPS store, you are spending money. If you have an amazon return with a QR code or anything with a prepaid shipping label, the owner will be extremely rude, unpleasant and very short with you because he isn't making any money. The customer should NEVER be made to feel bad because the owner of the store isn't making money. Unfortunately, he has lost a customer and the small amount of money he was making on the returns is going to another UPS store with a much more personable owner. read more

I used the UPS store to try to ship an emergency package to NYC to a family member. The employee went over and above to go through all of my options and get me just what I needed. After completing the transaction, I received word from NYC I had to immediately cancel the service. Sheepishly, I had to go back in and retrieve the package and ask for a refund. 3 employees helped me with no complaint and went over and above to not make me feel bad about the cancelled service. This is the best customer service I have received anywhere in a very long time. This team should be recognized for their commitment to both their customer and their company's brand. I will absolutely use this store in the future and recommend it to others! read more

This UPS Store provides a level of service that makes my job easier. I work for a State College-based nonprofit, and we have the UPS Store print the packets we give to people who attend our conferences (hundreds of packets, several times a year). Our experience has always been positive. No matter what wrinkle we throw in--mixing color and b&w, different bindings, merge data, inserting a page of labels, etc--they've taken it in stride. The print quality is excellent, and the pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend them. read more

My second visit to the UPS Store in State College was certainly better than my first. My first encounter with the store entailed them receiving a package that required refrigeration and then failing to refrigerate it, which resulted in the contents spoiling. No apology, no explanation, not really anything but a "that's your problem" kind of attitude. Fortunately, my second visit managed to redeem them in my eyes. Brief overview... I ordered a cymbal stand and received the wrong thing so I had to send it back. The place I ordered it from sent me a prepaid call card to send it back via UPS so I packaged it back up in the box I received it in and took it to the UPS store where I was greeted by an rather tall college age kid who weighed roughly 120 pounds and had a 240 pound attitude. I started out politely telling him I would like to send the package back and since I had no tape I would need it taped up. He looked at the box which was in perfect condition and said that it's probably not going to hold. I informed him that there was no reason that it should not hold. So he proceeded to put a single strip of tape on the box and inform me again that it was likely not going to hold. Now anybody who doesn't know what a cymbal stand is, it's a rather heavy metal stand to hold cymbals for a drum kit. Of course a single strip of tape isn't going to keep it closed. The wonderful young man then told me that since it likely wouldn't hold he would be happy to sell me a different cardboard box to replace my current cardboard box (which was in perfect condition) for $15.00. At this point my supply of nice had run out so I informed him that he needed to simply add an APPROPRIATE additional amount of tape for the size and weight of the package and it would hold just fine. At this point he presented me with a disgusted look and added one more strip of tape at each end to ensure that it would barely add any integrity to the package at all and unhappily asked me if I would like anything else. I told him I would like him to add a little more tape like his intent was not to ensure that the contents would fall out in transit and get damaged because when I was in college I worked at UPS and I know how these a**h***s work. There was actually a joke they had that if it says "Fragile" on it, it will bounce higher than anything else. I would never send anything through UPS if I have another and the people working at this store on this particular day were idiots. There was some old bald guy working who kept agreeing with the moron who didn't know how to tape a package correctly. read more

The one star is only for the US passport photos. The service was fine and the people helpful. DO NOT GET A US PASSPORT PHOTO HERE. I got my photo taken here a few years ago and submitted my paper work and photo to the post office in state college downtown. They made me retake the photo at the post office because they said the photo take at the UPS store was not usable. I thought maybe they were being a stickler and too picky and didn't think too much about it. I recently lost my passport and I was in a crunch for time so I went back to the UPS store because the Bellefonte Prothonotary where I was dropping off my paperwork does not have an option to take your photo there. Again the photo for my US passport was rejected and I was advised to go to the CVS in Bellfonte to get it done. On two separate occasions years apart the UPS store failed to take a usable US passport photo. A waste of about $10.00 read more
