I really really hate going here!!!! This is my 3rd time coming here because I have to pick up some mails/packages that were sent to my place. Why can't they just drop it off on the floor of my building, why do I need to go in for? The last time, I buzz them in but mail woman didn't drop off the packages and I just woke up so I didn't feel like running 3 floors down. So i just buzz her in and guess she was waiting for someone to come so she left us a note to come to the Postal Office to pick up the packages. Bottom line is PEOPLE PLS DO NOT SEND ME ANYTHING TO MY PLACE beside a enverlop pls, it is just a bit$h trying to get it from the stupid Postal Office!! read more

Spent 15 min waiting a line that didn't move once. Two tellers taking their sweet time as if there wasn't a line 20 deep going out the door. I work in the service industry so it drives me nuts to see employees of a business not pick up the pace when it's called for. read more

So far they have mailed all my packages out reliably. However, the service is very, very slow, so expect to wait in line a lot. I'm not sure if it's just understaffed or if the employees just take their sweet time on everything. The postal workers have somewhat of a "smart mouth" so don't expect service with a smile if you screw up your postage. I found it funny, but if you're easily emotionally distressed I probably wouldn't go here. read more

VERY SLOW...make sure you bring a chair and drink, because you will wait for hours in line. And you will be greeted by very dipressed people, so you may need more drinks after that. This is perfect example of why USPS is doing so poorly and everyone uses alternative service, like UPS, FEDEX, or even e-mails. read more

So yeah, it is just a post office. But this one is different. You get the true Soup Nazi experience. Just like in Seinfeld. Prepare to be hilariously berated if you don't fill out the forms just right, or, God forbid, you open the package door too quickly. This happened to me and everyone else in line. The worst post office I've ever been to and lived near. Not only is the service horrendous inside, but the mailmen have no idea what they're doing. We constantly have to swap mail with our neighbors - they get ours, we get there's. This includes business and private mail. This has been going on for years. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. I send a lot of packages and most of the time the priority mail boxes are not out in the lobby as it were the case today so I ended up waiting in line twice. Once more I was biding time and made a phone call when a woman I have never seen before came out to move the line along or whatever she was doing and told me to shut up in so many words. I know I do not have a loud voice and I think this woman just needed to not eavesdrop on my conversation. I was so annoyed and pissed since I am continually deal with their poor service and to be told to shut it was just ridiculous. Maybe she is stressed because of job security, but this woman was out of line and showed piss poor customer service skills. I detest this branch. read more

USELESS POST OFFICE!! This post has always been not so good between customer service and supplies but today was the last straw. I will NEVER step foot into this post office again. I had to mail out my wedding invitations and had my mom go there several times this week to make sure the postage on them was good to go. Today we go with all of my invites (over 100) and they tell me that I have to pay an extra 20 cents per invite since they're non-machinable. I was fine with that and was about to buy the extra stamps I needed until the manager, MS. GARCIA, said that its considered a "parcel" because of my wax seal and that I need to have $2.07 on each invite. Are you kidding me?? My mother spoke to her and 3 other employees there on her multiple visits and NO ONE ever said anything about it being a "parcel". It's an invitation, nothing big and bulky, and definitely NOT a parcel. After Ms. Garcia said that she proceeded to go in the back and didn't come back out. At that point all the tellers behind the windows just basically told me that that's my only option, cause she's the manager. I refused and left this post office and went to another. They were WONDERFUL and so very HELPFUL. They did not give me a hard time at all, and they said nothing about it being a parcel. I paid for the extra postage I needed to have them hand stamped and that was it. It was such a pleasant, professional, and accommodating experience. I've learned my lesson. NEVER AGAIN will I go into this post office. I'm surprised they are still open. read more

Very nice people. Not rude. Very helpful. Long lines, but they're quick. Even the lady working the pickup line was taking customers for drop offs when she had no line. Very well-run for the USPS, which normally is run by miserable, DMV-type lazy bums. I appreciate the wonderful people that work here. Deduction for store cleanliness and appeal. read more

I have had problems left and right with this postal office, I'm about 2 weeks in without my packages. Notices are never left on the door and complaints are pointless, no one takes responsibility for these problems. I'm beyond frustrated. read more

This post office is The Worst. The people are pleasant enough, but that is the only thing they have going for them. They are completely unhelpful. First, no one at this post office ever answers the phone. I say this after having had issues with them a few times that could have been resolved with a simple phone call. Instead, though, I have to go there in person because they never pick up, regardless of time of year or time of day. Then, their favorite answer to questions once I get there is "I don't know. Here's a number you can call." I call the number - and no answer - of course! Once I had a package arrive from overseas and they just didn't bother to deliver it, or even bother to leave a notice on my door saying I had a package. One day I just got worried enough to go and search for it, and it had just been sitting on their shelf for two weeks! When I asked why that was, the response was a shrug. Today, one of my packages seems to be lost in the ether somewhere, and in spite of having a tracking number, they are giving me the same old non-answers and phone numbers that go to an endlessly ringing phone. I live in Astoria, so I don't have a lot of choice about dealing with them when I have an issue with a delivery, but if you can avoid them I would say do so at all cost. read more

The absolute worst post office ever! I lived right above it for a year and still would walk or take a train to a different one to avoid it. Absolutely miserable workers that complain about their lives and job to you while you wait for them to um, Do their jobs?!! wtf? And the mail carriers are horrible I constantly have to swap mail with people in my neighborhood. Even my US PASSPORT which came in a big 8x10 envelope clear as day with my address printed clearly on it was given to a house 3 blocks away!!! Thankfully a kind gentleman walked over and rang my door to give it to me 2 days before I left for vacation! Trust me.. Go to the P.O. on Broadway to avoid having a bad day by visiting this one! read more

This is the first time in all of my years of living, in multiple cities, in multiple states, that I have had a difficult time with the delivery of mail/packages via USPS. Let me begin by saying that my experiences at the actual branch office have been totally fine - friendly and knowledgeable, and quite patient with the crazy line of people who, inevitably, arrive at the window without the correct slips filled out and whatnot. Patience of saints, these people! That being said, on three separate occasions, I have waited at home all day in anticipation of a package, only to track it online and to see that it was marked "delivery attempted" when no attempt was made. By no attempt, I mean that no one rang the bell/knocked the entire day, and on one occasion no slip was left in my mailbox. Super frustrating when your work hours do not allow you to get to the branch to pick things up before closing. Which is why I order things online to begin with! read more

Awful, awful, awful. My wife is home during the day, and we still routinely get package slips -- they don't even try to ring the bell. Worse still, sometimes we don't even get the package slips at all. Then, when you are forced to make a trip to the post office, prepare for a long wait. The service is excruciatingly slow, and complaints are met with derision and excuses about how understaffed they are. Everyone waiting in line has the same exasperated look on their face, and the complaints are all the same. Needed to get a roll of stamps-after waiting on line for 15 minutes they told me they were out of stamps!!! Are you kidding me?

AGREED to ALL the above comments- they NEVER deliver packages...they NEVER answer the phone....they are ONLY open 9am-5pm on weekedays...the times everyone else works too so i can't go before work or after work to pick up the package. Then once i make it there during the few hours they are open on a sat I have to spend an hour waiting for them to find the package and fighting to convince them that is mine because of course they didn't deliver a slip... yeah the slip you need to pick up the FREAKING package! Yes i am pissed at the poor service but what gets me the most fired up is their nasty poor attitude which tell me "Yes we suck at doing our job and we are also going to make you pay for that". read more

Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't mind the long-ish lines if they had competent service. Their package slips give the wrong hours, they don't follow the standard regulations (and after I show it to them in print they continue to refuse to help me, often ringing the next customer to try and get me out of there), and they NEVER answer the phone. After trying to call a couple times, they would leave it off the hook for a while so I would get the busy signal. I've gone to pick up held mail (for two weeks) and they told me that I never requested my mail held and there was nothing for me. After not budging when she rang the next customer, she gave me attitude and went in the back again, emerging with my mail and saying that it was scheduled to be delivered today (meanwhile I requested them to hold until I picked it up). These are only some of the issues I've had with this branch. Every time I go there (except to buy stamps) I have a bang-my-head-on-the-wall experience. read more

NO ETHICS, no morals, no professionalism. Supervisor talks about other customers IN FRONT OF you as they laugh at you. Dont go to Edwin C, he will make you go back and fix your package 4x EVEN if the angle of the sticker is wrong and even if there is a microscopic hole in the box. DO NOT go during closing. It's a nightmare and they lock you in. You have to wait until they key you out for 3 minutes when no one is there to open the door for you. read more
