My dog came up and licked him and he started swearing, saying "Why the fuck would you let your dog out" I replied in a calm voice. Our home service has dramatically improved over the past year! Well...we got off to a rocky start with the Anoka Post Office and our local carriers over the past few years. But things have dramatically improved. We haven't had any delivery mistakes or screw ups at all in the past year. Our local carrier, Greg, has been particularly awesome. And we torture the poor guy by ordering things like 50 pound boxes of dog food for our mastiffs off of Amazon! And we're always getting big goofy boxes of stuff off of Ebay from all over the United States. He hand carries all of these boxes all the way to our front door, rain or shine. And this isn't easy. We have a giant front yard, a full fence, and a driveway gate. So he has to hike quite a distance to get all the way to our front door. I have to make a side note on the national post office service, in general. Over the past year, we've shipped exactly 2169 antiques from Ebay sales with the Post Office. This includes everything from heavy 1920s art deco aquariums to delicate 1950s ceramics. They get mailed all over the United States. Of these 2169 items (so far), NOT ONE has been delivered to the wrong address or messed up in any way. And NOT ONE item has arrived damaged. This is really amazing when you think about it. This is in stark contrast to UPS. The last 4 things I shipped with them, 3 arrived smashed. That's a 75% failure rate. I refuse to even use them anymore. I was shipping a rather large box that was taped up. There was a piece of the top that needed a little tape. They said it needed more before they can ship it. For a small strip of shipping tape they charged me $4. I've been to other posts offices that provide more for free. read more

I ordered a package on Fri. May 8th from Houston, Texas and it was shipped to me on Sat. May 9th. The original origin scan was never scanned by USPS so the tracking page never updated until Thu. May 14th once it reached the Minneapolis hub. The tracking was then updated that morning and it first said that the package was going to be delivered between 9:45-1:45. Once 1:45 passed, it then updated to 1:15-3:15 for an expected delivery, and then once 3:15 passed it again changed to "before 4:15". I never received the item. At around 6:30, the tracking page updated with an alert that said "no such number" which I would assume means my address. The address that it was delivering to was correct, and I've lived here for 10 years so I have no idea why it gave that sort of alert. It also refreshed on the tracking page with a time of 9:40am as to when the package was apparently sent back to the sender. The following morning, Fri. May 15th, I called the Anoka post office and the lady who helped me was very helpful. She said that the mail carrier for whatever reason stated that my address did not exist so they marked the package to be sent back to Texas. She didn't know why the mail carrier did it, but apologized anyway. She even went as far to check the image of the package and said that my address was a valid address and so she wasn't quite sure why the package was returned to the sender. This really sucks as I was in desperate need of this package. I also have a separate package unrelated to the first from a different state that is supposed to arrive today so I am very curious to see if I receive my item today. Regardless, I am beyond frustrated because it seems that the USPS is totally inept at sending a package. They couldn't scan the origin scan last week, so I had already reordered the item from the place I ordered my original package from figuring that my original order was lost. The tracking showed up Thursday morning, so I called the place that was going to send me a replacement and canceled the replacement. Turns out I never should have done that because USPS ended up sending back my original order and now I am screwed with no package or replacement package. I now have contacted the company who was sending me my item for a third time and they are thankfully overnighting me a package via FedEx so that I can hopefully receive the item tomorrow (Saturday). I will never use USPS if I have a choice ever again. read more

dropped off a return package I was returning to the seller on Apr 21, 2022. The clerk was very nice and gave me a tracking number, thank goodness. The package arrived downtown minneapolis on Apr 29, 2022. It took 12 days to go from anoka to minneapolis. So it took 12 days to go about 20 miles. I would love to hear their excuse for this total failure. I guess it will not get there by May 2, 2022 to get my refund. In the future I will not by anything on ebay that requires returns through the post office. they do not deserve even one star. Whoever screwed up must want to get into management there. read more

Being a teenage girl, I do not often mail things. I went into the post office hoping for help mailing some pants that I sold online and a man at the counter treated me as though I was dumb. I may be blonde, but I am not stupid. He pointed me to a wall of envelopes- the wrong envelops- that I was to mail my pants in. I still had no idea what to do and after ten minuets of distress and not being offered anymore help I ended up just calling my dad for help. If you're going to work in costumer service, you are going to encounter people who are younger and do not know what they are doing. I was not rude, but he still lacked being kind and helpful. read more

I received phenomenal service from a postal worker named Dan. There was a mishap with the office at my apartment so my package was returned with the carrier.
