The workers are great. Lines can be long inside. They went from 4 drive up drop off mailboxes to only one.

The jagoff working the counter refused to let me use my debit card because it had SEE ID instead of my signature on it.

THIS BUSINESS HAS MOVED!!!…read more The new location is: 14115 Lincoln Street NE, Suite #500, Ham Lake, MN - 55304.

After having two professional moving companies give me an estimate for an out-of-state move I…read moretalked to Steve E. of Pakmail in Blaine, MN. The pro's came and looked at my stuff, made a bunch of notes on their iPad, and sent me a nice proposal via email; their estimates of weight were within 200 lbs. of one another, and the bottom lines were separated by a mere $25. When Steve came in I showed him the exact same items, and he took a notepad and pencil and made some notes and told me he would get back to me in a day or two. His 'estimate' of the weight (and, thus, the cost to ship) was vastly incorrect - 4,600 lbs. vs. 7,400 lbs. from the other two companies. Naturally, his price was considerably lower. When moving day came he showed up, along with three movers. The three "movers" were 17-18 kids, two of which he didn't seem to have ever met before. His regular employee was the third, and the kid was a good worker. The other two were friends of his, and they were smaller than my wife. We have some heavy stuff but Steve said they'd be able to manage. When the 26' truck was getting full but a number of our items were still in the house Steve said "You have a lot of stuff! I'm gonna have to drop this stuff off at my warehouse and come back for the rest. This is going to cost more than I estimated." Great - more expense due to his 1950s way of calculating the weight of my stuff. When the cost came in after he had weighed everything it was right in-line with where the other two companies we were at from a weight standpoint, but his price was higher. After giving him my two cents he ended up dropping the price by over $1,000 (magic, huh??). The shipping portion didn't quite go the way I expected - a couple days early with no phone call until the day they wanted to deliver my items. I wasn't going to be to Phoenix for another week. :/ Everything got moved into the house/garage but there were at least ten items that were scratched or punctured/ripped in the process so I had to make an insurance claim against the corporate office, which refunded my $1,400 after I got estimates to fix the things that were compromised. In no way did I expect everything to go perfect, but I at least like to think that people will keep their word. Steve was helpful up to a point, then he stopped being helpful and responses were delayed or didn't come at all (via email). If you need to have a set of tools shipped across town I say go for it. But if you have items of value or want a favorable experience I wouldn't recommend Pakmail.

Gentleman who helped was great but found out when back to work that there was a label not accounted for which would have cost me $250 if not returned correctly.. I called and talked to another gal who went crawling through the mass pile of boxes trying to locate the messed up labeling (my fault not anyone there). She took my name and number said when she located them she'd call me back...In which she did 5-10 minutes later. After getting ahold of Amazon to correct the shipping labels i texted the managers private phone with correct info and label identification as to what goes on which package. She took care of it while still running the store with a pile of people coming in. Cant say enough about the above and beyond assistance they provided for me today. Every one of them I had a wonderful interaction with. If there was 10 stars it wouldn't be enough, this kind of customer service is unheard of these days.. Thank you!!! Todd T

Today however this group could not have been less cordial. Especially the Store manager. I went here today (for the 4th time this summer) to ship an extra large item at the request of an Ebay buyer. I was shipping a super huge, 44 pound antique radio using the buyer's account number. Should be simple, right? Wrong! Quinn is gone and the new manager made my experience miserable. When I asked her why the last 3 times were totally different she told me she "wasn't going to argue with me" and that she's training a new person and they're going to do it right this time! So my last 3 times were done wrong? It seemed good to me. How about some consistent policies? I felt like I should have my attorney sitting next to me when I was listening to her carefully worded tap dance, explaining to me who is liable for what, who they consider the actual shipper, etc. etc. etc. Just please don't smash my stuff! I miss Quinn. This new woman should get a new job where she doesn't deal with customers. I left with a headache. -Daddy Maxx Retro
