This store is a real problem. Every time I go there I swear it will be my last, but since it's right up the road I go if I'm in a rush (I usually go to the Maple Grove UPS where the service, people and store are excellent!). BIG mistake this week going to the Champlin store!!!! They lost a return that I was sending back to Amazon and then tried telling me that Amazon received it "according to their records" but yet, Amazon HAS NOT received it. I will be taking this up with a higher-up in the UPS hierarchy on Monday morning. In the meantime, I'm working with Amazon...who knows how this will work out and I blame UPS completely. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use this store unless you want a lot of problems in your life!!! read more

Champlin UPS Store, I am SO disappointed. I want to shop local in my own community. And, 150 two-sided copies on a colored paper should not be so difficult. But my request was messed up in 3 ways before I decided to take my business elsewhere today. I had no issues with getting the new guy. Even if it was his very first day, which it appeared because he asked for assistance with all the things, not wanting to do it wrong. (Did you train him before he had customers?) He did exactly what the lady in charge told him to do. First she said, count out the paper. She told him to "trust me" it was necessary. (Since when have modern copiers forgotten how to count sheets of paper?) So I try not to watch him painstakingly take each piece of paper from the original pile and put it in a new pile right next. Only, if you've ever done this yourself, you know that the paper sometimes gets a little crinkled on the edges in places. And I don't want to say anything to make him lose his count. But then, after counting 150 sheets, they need to get stacked back into a tidy pile so they can run through the copier. The young man did his best, but the stack of paper was less than crisp at this point with multiple ruffled edges. Which might be why it didn't work to run it through the drawer the lady had him use. So then they tried it in the bypass tray, using part of the stack at a time because it can't hold 150 sheets. Ok. So they make the first copy and return my original to me. As they're about to run the new 2-sided copy (on colored paper) through as the original from which to make my 149 more copies, I asked why can't they use my actual originals for crisp details, now that we've already got manhandled paper. She begrudgingly says ok. Then I saw the new original she had made and would have used. It had an extra 1" margin at the top of both sides AND HAD LOST A PARAGRAPH AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. She never showed it to me to ask if it was ok before she ran them all. SHE never checked her own work. I cannot abide with those business practices. I took my business to a place that knows how to make professional copies. Unfortunately I will NOT be back. I am so sad. I miss the old owners! THEY were amazing. read more

My husband and I went to this UPS store earlier this week and we were met with an older woman whose a little oversized and with very short hair and spikey hair. She was very rude and impatient. We had a few Amazon returns and I told her that I had a few questions about them. When we got to the counter, two other customers also came in and before I could even ask my questions, she just told is to move to the side to wrap up our boxes when I had questions that needed to be answered BEFORE being wrapped. I should mention that there were two other employees there that could've helped the other customers. She was extremely stern and rude the entire time. After my husband and I moved to the side, she was extremely kind to the White woman behind me. Extremely disappointed by the lowered standard UPS has to keep such an employee like this. We will be taking our services elsewhere. read more

Went to this shop to drop off couple of books that were delivered by Amazon. The shop person was quick to handle the return and gave a quick turnaround. No hassles whatsoever. My time at this place wasn't long enough for me to write a detailed review. Nevertheless, this is another UPS store that offers the standard UPS experience. read more

Staff is slow on getting things done. For example, last time I was in only one of the staff members was able to ring up transactions. There were four of us waiting to be rung up for simple transactions. read more

Weekend service is terrible. Clerks do not know how to process pick up orders and will not release packages to persons in the same household, even when ID is presented with the same address. Service is slow and clerks lack a sense of urgency. read more

Avoid this location. Went there to have a package delivered internationally and the employees were too incompetent to manage this simple task. Furthermore, when the person helping me said that the gifts I were sending would incur taxes upon the recipient, I disagreed. I stated that gifts are non-taxable in the country they would be shipped to. Ignorantly and incorrectly, the employee told me that I was wrong. Ultimately this steered my decision not to do business with this establishment. read more

To whom it may concern, I arrived at your Champlin UPS store tonight to drop off a package. As I exited my vehicle and approached the door, your store worker proceeded to lock the door. I explained that I just needed to drop off a package, but he was not in any mood to assist. I would ask that you revisit the words and understanding of "customer service" with your employees and in particular the employee that locked up on Monday evening on 9/10/18. This UPS Store has the MOST AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. They remain calm and work with people patiently, even when several people pour in the door five minutes before closing time. All of the staff keeps a friendly smile on their faces. I've personally observed some awful customers while waiting in line, you all know the type. The customer that has had a bad day comes in and tries to attack the employees for things beyond their control. The staff always remain focused on trying to help these irate customers despite the fact that the customer is remaining abusive. I know they are trying to make these customers happy, and at the same time, doing the best they can to defuse the situation in order to spare the other customers in the store from having to have a bad experience because of one rotten customer. The owner is such a cool individual. She selects a good crew of people that always provide professional services and have gone above and beyond for me personally. I was stuck in traffic and had to pick up a package for my mom and I knew I'd be there five minutes after they close. I called ten minutes before closing time and asked Kelsey, one of the employees at this location, if she would be willing to help me get two packages that were delivered there and if I could get there before she physically leaves. She said of course with no hesitation. It was a Friday at that and she was more than willing to assist me. I'll always go to this UPS STORE for all my shipping needs. Great Job all of you! Have not been impressed with the customer service there, with the exception of one employee. My package always gets where it needs to go though, so despite the less than great customer service they get the job done. Response to the rep who responded to my review: Nobody ever smiles or seems to like their job. It's like dealing with the DMV. The overall atmosphere is neither energetic nor friendly. read more

Not a great experience. I went here to get finger printed for a background check for my new job. There were no other customers and two women working. I'm thinking great I'll be in and out. I was instructed to wait by the fingerprint machine and the two women continued to finish up whatever they were doing. That's fine I can wait no big deal. But the entire time they were complaining to each other about a new employee and how they haven't been trained properly and going on and on complaining in front of me. One woman then comes to take care of me. Without instruction she sticks her hand out so I hand her my ID, no she needs the paperwork. I hand her what I was told to bring. She tells me I have the wrong paperwork and semi scolds me/the people I work for, for not knowing what we're doing. I get fingerprinted that went fine. She then says she needs to take my picture and I wait for her to tell me when she's taking it so I'm not looking at the camera. She then says ok we're done. I guess I do t need to be looking for he picture? Not once did this person smile. I worked in retail for 7 years and can't possibly imagine acting this way. read more

Not my favorite place, everytime I go there I feel like they are trying to rip me off. I remember one time the lady put my stuff in the box I bought from them and she charged me an extra 3.00 service for her to "pack" it for me. I even had my own tape. Mostly it's just the owner that does this, not the employees. read more
