I am writing about the Ephrata Post Office in Ephrata, PA. This past Saturday the 18th of November…read moreit was raining hard all day. The post office delivered a package in a cardboard envelope and just left it lie on the porch, (the porch is not covered) in the pouring rain. Never rang the doorbell (I was home all day) so that tells me the carrier just came part way up the steps to the porch and just threw the package which landed in front of the door. I never knew it was there till I went out to check on the mail. In speaking with the postmaster at Ephrata Post Office he seemed to want to blame the company I ordered my package from questioning why they did not ship it in a plastic envelope bag. I agree with him on that matter however that does not excuse the carrier for just letting a package sit in the open in pouring rain. What kind of a person would do that and think that it is OK. The package was dripping wet when I picked it up and the paper back book inside was ruined.

I was in Lititz for the funeral of my mother-in-law. After the family had sorted through her…read morebelongings, I was mailing packages at the post office. The clerk at the desk was so helpful. One cardboard box we used was originally from a liquor store, about 15 years ago. The clerk noted they could not mail liquor boxes, then volunteered to tape scratch paper over all the surfaces to avoid it getting flagged as a liquor box. (Just possessions, no flammables were inside.) Additionally, she wrote return addresses on boxes while I finished prepping the others. Amazing service! Thank you! Also, cheaper than the UPS Store, where I mailed other boxes.

I will be getting out of my car and there will be a really big issue. One of your people was riding so close to me I couldn't even read the numbers on the front of it. All I could see is that they were wearing blue gloves and laid on their horn for me telling them to get off my bumper. I had my 5 year old step daughter in the car. The charged me close to $90 to pack and ship and the item, which is simply outrageous. I had to ask for a breakdown of cost 3-4 times before the owner, Elizabeth finally responded. What was most important to her was to let me know no one else complained about the cost. Do not recommend!
