My daughter and I went to have to have a full set of acrylic nails put on. I wasn't impressed with the shape of the shop and questionable cleanliness. We went ahead and moved forward with it. We left there at 6 pm. By 11 am the next morning the polish on my middle finger was peeling off. I called and informed them and they said come back and they would fix. I showered and got ready to go and my pinky finger was peeling. Went in and the lady (the man did my nails initially) helped me. They asked me what the color of the polish was, the number. Being our first time I didn't even realize I needed to know a number. I picked what I thought matched. She then picked another one and said, "it was close enough". The color was pretty much the same, however it had sparkles in it when the original didn't. Initially the gentleman put two coats of polish and a top coat. She only did one coat and a top coat. As you can see in the pictures, you can see through the polish to the messed up polish underneath. Obviously two coats were needed. She just wanted to rush it and get me out of there. A second coat would have taken about 60 seconds longer. We will not return there again or recommend to anyone. I don't find $40 plus a tip on top of that inexpensive and certainly expect them to look amazing and for more than 17 hours later, most of which was sleeping!

These are the kind of nails I usually have with my nail tech in Texas. This was taken Late April 2021.

Quick, friendly and educational! Gave me reasons for why they suggested certain services.

This is absolutely the best nail salon I've ever been to. Why? Because when I explained the problem…read moreI'd been having with the kind of acrylic nail that another salon used, instead of switching to the old-school acrylic, Lila recommended polygel nails. It's made a huge improvement in the health and appearance of my nails. I can wear sheer polish now. My nails don't get nasty discolorations. And Lila never files my living nail like many techs do. (Have you ever had a nail removed and seen all those half circle divets in your nail bed? It's killing your nails!) My nails aren't fake and chunky looking either. I frequently get compliments even though I don't do anything fancy--just simple polish. The salon is near St. Joseph Hospital in old St. Charles and has its own parking lot. So convenient. Its cozy environment is nice--a boutique spot, not 10 techs super busy and trying to fit in walk-ins. They have a scheduling app called Vagaro that I use for appointments. The only drawback you may have is paying a deposit for your appointment. But if you're the kind of person who keeps your appointments, then it will be worth it. In my experience (3 months so far) they've been on time and easy to work with. They just got in some gorgeous new fall colors and I tried a muted pink. But they have rich greens, blues, and browns, too. Maybe I'll go a little bolder next time--a deep blue-- or maybe I'll go back to a sheer. Who knows?

I called the Milani Nail Bar and the owner said come right in without hesitation, after the service rendered I was ready to pay for the adjustment and the owner sent me on my way just like that she said I hope you like your nails and gave me a big hug. Thank you Ms Boss Lady. If you haven't been to this nail spa I suggest you get there soon.
