We have frequented US Foods Chef'Store many times over the years, especially when we need to make larger or bulk food purchases or when we're searching for items that are harder to find in traditional grocery stores. We always enjoy walking through these stores--there's something interesting around every corner, and the wide selection makes it easy to discover new products or stock up on favorites. On this trip, we were also trying to keep our everyday costs down while traveling. We're staying in an Airbnb that has a coffee maker and provides basic coffee, but we prefer flavored coffees. From past visits, we knew that US Foods Chef'Store carries an impressive selection of coffee syrups, with far more variety than you'd typically find at a regular grocery store. Rather than spending $5 to $7 each day on coffee while out and about, we planned ahead and stopped in to pick up a bottle of syrup to use during our stay. It turned out to be a simple and cost-effective solution. The store was easy to get in and out of, and the only real challenge was narrowing down our choice from the many different syrup flavors and brands available. Overall, this stop was quick, efficient, and exactly what we needed. We needed some large cans of clams and this was the only place in town that seemed to have them. We enjoyed walking through this clean, well-stocked store and marveled at the massive sizes of some of the products. The produce looked good and we brought home some lovely zucchini. read more

I've been a customer for over 25 years. When you are feeding a crowd, or just looking for yourself, there's something here for you. I get kitchen tools for home unavailable anywhere else. I've noticed canned whole chilies aren't available in local grocery stores anymore and US Foods has two kinds! Recently I served chili for 50 and the price was unbeatable. Love this store! read more

This is a great store. I don't make it over to this side of town often, but when I do, I make sure to stop by Cash and Carry. It's like every store, you've gotta be an informed consumer and know your prices. Some are great deals and some aren't. My husband works in a restaurant, and they buy some of their products from this store as well. They have mostly restaurant products, some equipment and cleaning supplies, and bulk items. If I'm buying dried spices, I can buy them in bigger containers than a typical store. I also buy flavored syrups for my coffee here. The staff is amazing here. I went in once right after surgery with my mom for some stuff, and we bought a pretty decent amount of products. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to lift much because of the surgery. It was annoying to me not to be able to do something as basic as bending to lift groceries into the trunk of my car, but I was stuck. I asked for help, and an employee was called to take care of it. I thanked him profusely and explained the issue, as there is nothing obviously wrong with me. He was more than happy to help and did so with a great attitude. It's not a courtesy that they offer to customers, but if it is required, they will happily do it. It's a store I've gone to many times, and will return to again. I always find some bulk items that aren't in a typical grocery store at great prices. Plus the customer service is definitely worth the drive! read more

I went shopping there for the first time today..I found staff to be friendly and helpful..I walked all the isles as well as all their walk-in storage refrigerators as well as their walk-in freezer..found products fresh and packaged well..the pricing was in line and in comparable to Costco..strangely enough, I found several prices below what I have found, for the same sized product, at Walmart..found that interesting.. All food products, regardless of size or packaging, were neatly laid out In each isle...products were easy to find including the labeling and pricing of each product...I found all products I touched were without dust or any debris...I like a clean store that's well maintained...says a lot... I found everything I needed and more as there were several specials I picked up along the way... This store is obviously set up for restaurant owners or people who may need to feed large groups of people as well as very large families..however, I'm neither of those types..I am single, but found many items, I could portion out and freeze for later use... Love this store and plan to make a return trip in the near future.. read more

We have been going here for years for great deals on bulk items. They have some things that Costco does not. I love it. Years ago when my Son was younger he made extra cash for himself just by buying candy in bulk, and selling it to his friends....he even charged his Brother's for candy. When I drank a bunch of flavored Red Bull's, I used to get my flavored Torani's from here because they are cheap, and wow! What a selection they have! If you are catering an event, or party this is the place to go for bulk foods. I used to make food for volunteers at the BMX track years ago when my boy's raced, this is where I went a lot of the time to get the food to feed them. They work their tails off during the Duck game parking...well and any other time. We get our chips for our Treager smoker here because they have such a great deal. Way cheaper than at Jerry's Home Improvement. Also love that you can get to go food storage like you get at a restaurant. Or to go cups, with lids. We get those for on the go. Perfect for our trailer. I also get spices in bulk here. There is nothing like industrial size spices if you really go through certain spices really fast, and that is just how it is in my house. No bland food here! Love food too much! For clean up they have everything you need in bulk as well for a great deal, and don't overlook the cooking supplies they have. This is like your smaller version of Costco and without the required membership. They have bulk amounts of different foods, dishware, and some kitchen accessories. I think they changed the name from Cash & Carry but I believe it's still the same place. Many restaurants use this place to buy their ingredients for a better deal. It's never been that crazy in here but at a peak time you might have to wait in line for a few minutes. The employees are friendly and everything is easy to find. I have purchased some items for events here like coffee cups with sleeves and lids as well as a punch bowl and platters. read more

I'm really, really torn on writing a review for C & C. On the one hand, this place makes Costco look like Mark-Up City! On the other, a visit here is a depressing insight into the harsh reality that is factory farming in the U.S. I land on a solid 3 stars for my review because, if you need to buy in bulk, and are willing to search out your ingredient of choice, you might just find it! And, if you do, I don't think there's a better deal to be had than at the Cash & Carry. My first visit here was in search of white wine vinegar. I pickle a lot of things, you see, and this (2011) year marked the first in which supermarket sizing no longer suited my projects' scope. After months of searching the interwebz, pestering Culinaria Eugenius, and poking around local supermarkets in the Yewj, the only viable option that cropped up was the C & C. When I phoned them to inquire as to their white wine vinegar options, I was stoked beyond belief to learn that for~ $4.50/gallon I could stock up there. Upon arrival at the warehouse location, I was pleased to see that, yes, WWV was available! A quick check of the label, though, revealed that there was some sort of odd preservative as the third ingredient. Aw, c'mon now...really? Why does vinegar need a preservative? I hemmed, and hawed, but ultimately decided against the purchase. Even though the price was under $5, I couldn't justify all the work I was going to put in the kitchen just to add preservatives to pickles from my organic garden. The hubs and I perused some of the other pantry staples there, and decided that it was definitely worthy of a return trip. Meanwhile, though, we're probably more of the Hummingbird Wholesale types. read more

Cash & Carry is geared towards commercial food service buyers, but if you want wholesale packaging and pricing and the savings that come with them, this is the place to go. It feels a lot like the old Waremart stores used to, which is both good and bad. It's a no-frills operation geared towards businesses rather than consumers, so if you want to ask a lot of questions, use coupons, etc. this may not be the place for you. Current specials include an 18-pound box of frozen hash browns for $8.88 and Foster Farms deli-style turkey breasts for $1.48 a pound. Just the place for those feeding a dozen hungry kids on a budget, or maybe planning a huge picnic, BBQ, or just inclined to freeze stuff and save a little money. Think of it as a small, downscale Costco but without the annual membership charge and the acres of electronics, clothes, and other non-food crap. Quality is not a strength of Cash & Carry, but there are some surprisingly good-tasting offerings in that freezer case...as well as some big-time losers. Either way, the best way to buy this stuff is when you're planning to feed someone else with it. I do sometimes purchase the huge packages of food service meat to feed my dog, though. If he has any complaints he has yet to verbalize them. Cash & Carry will burn in hell for their aisle of styrofoam products though. I have never seen so much of the stuff in one place. read more

I love C & C too: you can get a huge shopping bag there that holds like the amount of about 3 grocery bags. I bought them to give as gifts! You want to steer clear or get there before any big event like the Country Fair, because they will be crowded to the gills & cleaned out. Same with WM but I'm proud to say I don't even go there anymore. Sometimes you can get a sweet deal there if your eyes are open: like on Dave's Bread, 2 for $5. Maybe it's when it's near it's "date" but you could always freeze it if you double bag it (his bread seems to only be single bagged). I love to go up & down the aisles, getting a good look for inspiration & to see if anything jumps out at me as a really good price. I've picked up some things for the kitchen, like the round metal things for making fried eggs. It's alot more fun going there than it is to go to Freddies/Albies/Safeway. But you need to know your normal price points so you don't accidentally splurge on the wrong thing. Be sure to check out the produce cooler. If you enjoy meats, see the selection of sausages, etc. And if you like to buy for the freezer for game night: check out the frozen section of snacks etc. Just be sure to know your price thresholds. read more

Love the people at this place, Mike and Kim specifically. They always go out of their way to help and really are service oriented. The Cash and carry has the basics. Wish they had more Asian ingredients selection - but they did add an Asian Food Products isle this past year and are introducing people to more ingredients besides the usual. All in all - if they don't have it in stock, just ask and they will try to source it for you! Great people is what makes this a far cry from other warehouse wholesale stores in town, for instance like Costco. No people around to help there and all of a sudden - they will stop carrying something just because. read more

Great place if you are trying to find stuff in bulk. And I don't mean Costco bulk, I mean BULK haha. I love how they have a whole wall of syrups (for drinks). Anywhere else you can only find a couple flavors, but here they have hundreds! I do a lot of juicing and buy big quantities of fruits and vegetables. I try to get to Cash & Carry every two weeks to restock. I do 4-5 batches at a time and then freeze them. I also like the shredded cheese as it is a great deal compared to Walmart. Some of the juices are 100% (red grapefruit) as compared to Langers (37%) and Ocean Spray (25-35%). I juice the fruits and vegetables and then freeze them (I include 4 oz. vanilla greek yogurt and a tablespoon of strawberry protein mix per single serving/batch = 4-5 servings). I then use a blender to blend the frozen concoction with fruit juices added (grapefruit, cranberry, OJ, apple) to make a delicious smoothie. I add olive oil to the mix, as well as, crushed vitamins. FRUITS: APPLE, ORANGE, GRAPEFRUIT, CHERRIES, STRAWBERRY'S, KIWI, PEACH, NICTORINE, WATERMELON depending on what I have on hand. VEGETABLES: CELERY, CUCUMBER read more

The Cash & Carry store is basically a wholesale grocer for restaurants, but is also open to the general public. If you're looking for larger sizes--#10 cans of vegies, 25-lb. bags of flour, large cuts of meat, etc.--this is the place to go. They have some restaurant equipment and cleaning supplies, too. They close early, but are open 7 days a week. read more

Love Cash & Carry! I was buying blended Red Bull drinks at Dutch Btos for $4.50 each......Then I learned I could purchase Red Bull & the flavoring at C&C for for half the cost that I was spending at the coffee shop! Because I was saving so much on the ingredients, I could also purchase cups, lids & straws and still saved money! My only recommendation is to not go shopping there while your hungry because they have an incredible assortment of candy & snack foods! But, can save money purchasing those items also!! I placed an order for 20 lbs of my favorite coffee, Cafeto Italian Roast, with Mike on Thursday, coordinating with Crystal at Cafeto, and the two of them made the order so very easy for me. Our plans were to leave Eugene on Tuesday for destination south. I was delighted that I could get my winter's coffee on such short notice. I ordered by phone with Mike on Thursday, the beans were roasted on Friday and they were ready for me on Monday, as promised. Shopping at Cash & Carry is always a pleasure. read more
