The added bonus... they don't sell anything to make a profit for themselves...they actually give it away to the homeless people who need it. I think it's a great place for people who are just going through a hard time. This place provides meals, clean clothes and even counseling for those who need 0help find a job or mental support. I realize a lot of people hate this place because they think it creates more homeless people to come to town, but I look at is as a place of refuge. What if you were in need during a time of crisis and had no family or friends and no where to go...at least there are places like the Deveroux Center to help you out.

I do regularly buy stacks of their steel prep bowls for myself and friends. Nice to get stackable bowls. If you cook a lot - do yourself a favor and buy each 5 of smallest, medium & large bowls. They take up very little space and are a workhorse for garden & cooking.

For the price of 1 loaf of Franz gluten-free bread, $7.79 for less than a dollar more I could go to Costco and get 2 loaves of Canyon Bakehouse gluten-free bread. 14 oz Tajin is $7.99. I can buy the exact same size from Walmart for $6.98. Here, 19 oz Mae Ploy canned coconut cream is $3.49 a can. Walmart online sells it individually and as a 6 pack for $2.58 per can. $3.59 for American Beauty 8 oz manicotti shells here. It's $3.49 at Fred Meyer in Medford. 16 ounces of jumbo Campfire marshmallows here are $3.39 whereas 16 oz Kraft Jet Puffed marshmallows are $2.99 at Fred Meyer in Medford. $8.69 for 24 Flav-R-Pac frozen corn cobettes or $2 for 6 Great Value frozen corn cobettes at Walmart. $14.19 for 2.125 lbs dried hash brown shreds here. Same size at Costco is $8.99. Costco sells in-store and ships #10 sized canned products so I'm confused why people are shopping here when the prices aren't wholesale, they're often slightly higher than retail at the local Fred Meyer and Walmart. There aren't many specialty products here for varied diets or cuisines, so if you're needing gluten-free or something more diverse than soy sauce or tortillas, you're going to need to order from elsewhere. I ended up buying a box of True Lemon (they didn't have the True Lime I came for.) Visited October 2024.

I tried to like this place I really have. Every time I go in it is a disappointment. Today they had…read morea managers special with tongs on a hook, a full rack of tongues on a hook marked with the price that was a manager special, when it rang up, of course that was not what the manager special was, and the person at the register claimed "someone was trying to pull a fast one". When shown it was a whole rack that was clearly labeled according to the employee mislabeled probably by one of their customers and they would not honor their mislabeling. Everything seems to be slightly overpriced for what you get and the attitude of the workers is one that is more concerned about their rules and their policies of how they ring things up versus serving their customers. They are perpetually correcting customers who tried to put a couple of items on the stainless steel counter for them to ring up. No, you have to leave them in your cart and they have to move them and they're really quick to correct you and not in a nice way. If this is the only place you can get these items and fine, but there's got to be a better place. I imagine I'll be shopping online after this latest experience. They have driven me out of their store for the last time.

When an overly computerized washer quit digesting 0's and 1's, it was time for a new washer. My…read morebest friend bought a Speed Queen washer from Bay Appliance a couple years ago as it was a great "back to basics" unit and has been quite happy with it. I went with the same brand. A call on to the phone with a variety of questions was easily handled by a salesman. I went down to Bay Appliance, paid for the machine and it was delivered two days later with the old machine being hauled off as well. Clean clothes and a clean deal all the way around!
