They did and told me there was a mix up and they would be here at 1. The technician came but seemed annoyed. He checked the outlet, said it was good. Took the top off the dryer and stated the motherboard was dead. I explained the board was brand new. He didn't test it just stated it was bad. He then just kept repeating the board was bad. No offer of ordering the part- nothing. I paid 90 dollars, they arrived 3 hours late for 10 minutes to say the motherboard is dead. The other issue was I could not understand him due to his accent. I don't care about culture or enthtics . Just do the job. He stated he did not know why I was upset. Three hours late, acting annoyed and 10 minute for 90 dollars and difficult accent. I will never contact them again.

So he comes and charges $99. And it would go towards the repair if decided to move forward. He comes and takes about 5-10 minutes and tells me it is the igniter and it would be $347. for total. I already had done my research and know that the part is $35 and I could pickup from a local appliance part store in Montgomery County. Or order directly from Whirlpool for under $50. So when I asked him how much is the part, He said $149. Then I asked him if he had the igniter already or would he have to order it? He said he's prepared & has it in his box. I had then asked him to see what it looked like. That's when he tells me " I cannot show that to you, I have already told you too much information about it." That's when I put an end to it. I will not put up with shady business people, businesses allowing this. I paid the $99. As first agreed and told him to get out of my house. He is an older man that needs to realize that people ( no matter the gender or race of their clients, potential and now-Never). Do not assume that the general public do not research before they reach out to you from online!!!!! The only good thing I will add: The early on communicating about eta arrival. That is the only thing he was good about. And he used my paper towel on the counter, and left the dirty used ones on my counter. The nerve! I would have NO stars, if allowed. So this is the only reason why it has a one. I shouldn't have even paid the $99. In my opinion due to the whole dishonesty. But he was in my house already.

Update to my previous review: I was contacted by the business and was told that the reason for…read moretheir lack of communication was due to being a victim of a cyberattack. As I had no other way to verify this, I took them at their word and accepted their explanation. For full transparency, however, it is worth noting that this communication came less than 24 hours after I had posted my initial review. The repair technician arrived at my home the same day, and spent approximately 90 minutes going back over the previous repair work and going much more in-depth in this second go-round. After completing the work, he explained what he did, what he found, and then ran a cycle through my dishwasher. The next day, I ran another cycle, and the leaking issue had been fixed. As I am someone who does believe in giving people and businesses second chances and opportunities, and because I have seen them perform excellent and professional work before (see my original review), I am likely to give them my business at least once more to see that this experience is an outlier and not their typical course of business.

I reached out to LG customer service to request a repair and they outsourced the job to this local repair shop. The technician showed up at 6 pm (outside of the designated repair window), spent 60 seconds looking at the dryer, and was unable to recreate the issue in real time. Which is fine, the sound is intermittent and that is no fault of his own. However, I took a video of my dryer several days prior and when I showed him the footage, he openly agreed that the sound was atypical. But instead of looking into it further, he left in a rush since it was already late. 24 hours later, the noise was back and I reached out to LG Customer Care about follow up service. However, they are now refusing to send someone back out because this technician claimed the issue was likely caused by dirty vents. So you be the judge. Here is a video of my empty dryer 5 days post service.

Avoid this company…read more LG sent this company to my house to look at my dryer that is throwing a D80 error code. During the initial call, the technician automatically blamed my dryer vent as the problem on the phone even though I told him multiple times that I had the dryer vent line serviced and verified that the dryer was pushing air at an adequate speed. He was extremely rude on the phone during this call and hung up on me after confirming a time frame to arrive. He did not call me ahead of time to notify me that he was on his way and showed up to my door 45 minutes before the end of the window. When he finally did arrive, he looked at the dryer vent line and pulled lint out of my dryer which was clearly an issue, but ultimately refused to diagnose the issue further even though I showed him a picture of the error code from earlier in the day produced using the dryer's diagnostic mode and several weeks ago during normal use. I ultimately had to kick him out because he was arguing with me the entire time he was there and insulted me by saying I needed to see a Doctor when I told him to leave. A normal appliance repair company technician would have been respectful from the initial phone call, called ahead of time to tell me he was on the way, and actually diagnose the issue properly instead of deciding ahead of time what the problem is without listening to my concerns.
