The AC technician came to fix the AC which was not working and it's going to be over 90 degrees following week. It's was June 2025 and was extremely hot here. He continued to say, by law I had to turn off the furnace and the AC or people in the house may died if turned on. Wondering if this is true?? 11/3/2019 For unknown reason, at 11:30 PM the pilot light…read moreon my furnace had distinguished. I lit the pilot light and the furnace was operating normal. I assumed that the thermostat was defective and I called OCF on 11/4/2019 at 8:30 AM to schedule an appointment to come to my home to check-out the thermostat and investigate why the pilot light had distinguished. On 11/4/2019 at 9:00 AM, I received a call from the owner informing me that the technician will be at my home between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The technician arrived at 3:40 PM and we went down the cellar to look at the furnace. As we were discussing the issue, the pilot light had distinguished again. The technician had found a small hole / crack in the combustion chamber directly adjacent to the pilot light which allowed air to enter and distinguish the pilot light. Now I have an unsafe condition and the technician would not light the pilot light and he advised me not to light the pilot light again and I complied with his advice. The furnace was installed in "1979" and a few upgrades were completed several years prior to me purchasing the house in Jan. 2019. This was a "no brainer" and I ordered a new furnace. On 11/11/2019 (Veterans Day), two technicians arrived and removed the old furnace and started the installation of the new furnace. 11/13/2019 at 1:00 PM, the installation was complete. The installation and workmanship was professional and neat.

The situation worsened as the standing water began to stress the internal condensate pan and seal, eventually leading to water leaking into the cabinet. This is not something that should happen with a properly installed high-efficiency furnace. After troubleshooting, it became clear the root cause was improper leveling during installation--a basic step that should not have been overlooked. I also reached out to the company twice regarding these issues and did not receive any response, which was extremely frustrating. Based on my experience, I would recommend others think carefully before using this company. Proper installation and follow-up support are critical, and neither met expectations in this case.

She forgot to take in account copper pipes needed for the install and even with the addition of a good quantity of copper she did not charge me more than the estimate.
