Mike the office manager is top notch. Very helpful and knowledgeable! The team was on time and quick to get the work done. The team was easy to talk to and to ask questions. Hector and Louis were great. Very good work. Daniel, the electrician, was the best. Right on time for the appointment and through with his work. He figured out exactly was was need with our electrical outlets. Highly recommend Urban Work! +++ read more

Worst technician I ever met. Needed an electrician to reset a breaker, making the Home Warranty to pay for it. Complete useless service.

I just want to make a mention about how pleased we are with Urban Worx. I had aa Mini -split installed and we could not be happier! They were on-time, professional and it works great! I will use them again when the need arises. read more

Amanda with Urban Worx is amazing! So knowledgeable and kind. Five stars all the way!

This place is GREAT! I was introduced to them through my home warranty company, and I'm usually not thrilled with a lot of the places they set me up with, but not this time! These folks were at my house within 24 hours of me filing the claim and had the approval sent in the same day and got the job done so efficiently, on time and it was a completely pleasant experience. I would recommend Urban Worx to everyone! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had a service order done through our warranty company. Very simple. Our hot tub needed a new pump. They took a couple of weeks and installed a totally wrong pump! Completely wrong size! They also made us use our own pool technician to drain the hot tub first, which should be their job according to our warranty company. We waited nearly 3 more weeks! And then they said they had the correct pump on the way?! And now 2 more weeks have gone by... They just emailed saying they have it in. But TOO LATE! It's been 2 months for a common pump replacement for a common hot tub! We paid extra to just have our pool technician do it. He went to his pool supplier the same day, and did it that night... it literally took him 2 days total. This company is a scam and take advantage of people who use warranty, because there's no time contingencies. But I am here to warn you to NOT use them. They costed us some lost bookings (people had to cancel our Airbnb reservation because of hot tub not working) and caused us unreasonable stress for something they should be competent at. The absolute worst maintence company I have ever experienced, and I own 6 homes. RUN. read more

What a pleasure to have a company show up when they're supposed to with all of the parts and supplies needed for the job, and then complete the job quickly and efficiently. I am so pleased with the entire experience that I'm writing this review about half an hour after they left. read more

horrible company! american home shield home warranty company uses this company. i do not recommend them entering your home. john the manager is horrible and karen the front desk girl is literally a karen. they will prolong the process and squeeze the home warranty so there is no money left for the actual repairs then give you a insanely high estimate for the issue. i repeat, do not call them for anything! read more

Horrible experience with this company I had a leak in my roof over my shower , and they sent out a plumber that didn't have the proper tools to do the job so he called in a urgent message to the office and we never got a call back and finally when we called to see what was going on they tried to tell us that we owed another $294 dollars for them to do the job and this was a warranty job that we had already paid a deductible for the first time they came out and couldn't fix it read more

Back in mid August I had an issue with my AC. Called my home warrenty and Urban Works was sent out. Amanda who assessed whe repair and Thaniel who did the repairs were amazing. From there on out dealing with the office and the absence of management when I've asked 3 times to talk to them is neglectful. First off I was told I needed a permit to change out the condensor. Don't think I needed it but was forced to pay for it. Then I was told that I had to get what was called HERS testing to see if I had any leaks. I had to pay Urban Works 550.00 to get that done which is a total scam as well. It took over a month once the AC was fixed to get this testing done. I now miraciously have all 11 cans or registers in my house leaking when I was told by another company I had no leaks that did an inspection on my duct work. Urban works wants to charge me $550.00 to repair all of my so called leaks that I don't think exist. I have also requested 3 times the report from AHP testing that I paid for and have yet to receive it. Bottom line do your homework before anyone even through home warranty is sent to do repairs I your home. I would think twice before using Urban Works. They don't care about their costomers from a Management perspective. read more

Fantastic service so impressed! A weary nurse from a level 1 trauma center was desperate for hot water to soak weary legs. If you have a choice, DO NOT USE!!! I have a home warranty plan. I paid the $100 deductible to AHS. Urban Worx came out and said I needed a new garbage disposal. AHS approved the replacement of my garbage disposal. Great I thought! However, I was then informed that Urban Worx said that I also required a plumbing modification. AHS gave me two options. Option A: pay $175 for a plumbing modification or Option B: pay $165 for an upgraded garbage disposal. Now mind you this was a 3/4 hp garbage disposal that had been replaced by AHS 7 years ago. If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. NOTE: Paid the $175, what other choice did I have. So hard to find service people that you can trust. read more

I have never trusted or liked a service that my home warranty assigned to handle my claim, until I worked with Urban Worx. As usual I encountered many issues due to my home warranty not covering services and additional costs. They walked me through every step of the way. The service technicians were friendly and extremely helpful, even with my confusion as to why installation needed to be held off another day. A big shout out to Mike! He patiently walked me through the steps to get drywall damage that my home warranty would not cover, with referrals for repair. His recommendation to Nahum was wonderful. I couldn't be more pleased with Nahum's work and quickness to assist with the project. Mike was absolutely amazing and so pleased to have him assisting me during a very stressful time. Thank you, Urban Worx. I love that my home warranty has contracted at least one company that I trust. read more

Dishonest. They were dispatched through my home warranty. I was told a new garbage disposal was needed but that the only one on their truck that day was an upgraded disposal so it would cost $100. I told them the one that's covered under warranty is the one I wanted so I can keep costs down. They said it would be $125 to come back another day with that part. I refused. When the diagnostic came into the home warranty company Urban Worx changed their story and said the $125 was not for returning another day but because it needs a new line (a $10 part which did need replacing). This is not what was told to me. They were lying. My home warranty company was awesome. They not only refunded me the $135 service fee but they also gave me cash to replace the disposal and line (which wasn't needed) with another contractor. To be fair I gave 2 stars because they arrived on time (within the 4 hour window) and because I never spoke directly to a tech so I cannot rate him on politeness, professionalism, etc. I only spoke with their office rep. read more

Urban Worx was selected as the Air Conditioning contractor by our Home Warranty Company. We were extremely pleased with the excellent service and product provided. The staff and management at Urban Worx was extremely responsive, kind, and respectful with all of our questions and requests. My contact John returned all of my calls promptly and provided me clear and detailed information. The air conditioning was not working in our rental property in Palm Springs during an extreme heat wave and record high temperatures. The technician immediately identified that a new AC condenser was required and a full report was submitted to our home warranty company in less than 24 hours. The Urban Worx team truly went above and beyond in working with us and our elderly tenant. They delivered and installed a temporary air conditioner until the new system arrived and installed the new Air Conditioning on the July 4th holiday, as a courtesy to us and our tenant. Our tenant continues to rave about the level of service and how well the new system is working. I highly recommend this company and their staff for any of your contractor needs. read more

Called on a Monday and they came Tuesday to install a brand new water heater since mine stopped working the previous week. They came prepared and were very cool. What went well??? EVERYTHING!!! Our air conditioner went out, our home warranty called Urban Worx. They assessed the problem, gave us a " very & fair good " estimate ", came out as we agreed and installed the new units, they were professional, clean, quick . OKAY: This company Urban Worx deserves an X out. My home warranty company referred them to me to check out acleak order my sink. It was determined to meet a new faucet and the water lines that go with it. I originally paid a Service Charge of $85. They sent the service order to my company for the amount of$442.50. My warranty company said they would only approve the amount of $179. $109 labor $70 for. the faucet. Urban wanted to charge me $198.50 to replace the water lines.Parts and labor. GET THIS: I went to Lowes and bought water lines for $16.00.Again they wanted $198.50 to do that in addition to the $179. Plus the $85 Service charge. That comes out to approximately $500. To change a kitchen faucet. I think Urban Worx needs to stop overcharging we senior citizens. I am asking my friends and neighbors to be careful if they are thinking about using Urban Worx for a home project. Buyer Beware... read more

Urban Worx did a very good job repairing the water damage to the ceiling in my family room

Urban Worx was the company our home warranty used. We were very please when they were able to come out the same day they received the work order since it was for one of our AC's on a day that was 108. Alex texted to say he was on his way during the appointment time window. He evaluated the problem quickly and although didn't have the part with him went to get it and was back within 30 minutes. He repaired the problem, tested the work and once it was working properly his job was completed. He was professional, courteous and seemed to know his job very well. Very happy with their work read more

I have used this company for a few different things around the house; plumbing issues in the shower and sink, and AC Tune up and new thermostat install. They are always very professional and on time. The same tech came to my house for both services and was incredibly clean and kept me apprise to what he was doing when he had to run to get a part. One of the better companies I have used in the valley! I would highly recommend! James, the owner, was very professional and took all of my needs into consideration when booking me. Both times were not urgent matters so the appointment was set out about 3 days from when I called. Their work has so far stood up to my 5 and 6 year old kids and we are very happy! I will pretty much solely use Urban Worx! And you can't beat their pricing! Totally one of the mid to cheaper priced companies! read more

A technician from Urban Worx iin Palm Spings CA came out for First American Home Warranty to diagnose an air conditioning system that was near the end of its life. The technican only saw one compressor and completely missed a second complete system for the upstairs. Her report said I was missing a second compressor even tho it was part of a package system on the roof. This resulted in my cl;aim from First Ameriocan being denied, which is another story. I had Blair Furnace and Air diagnose the problem , Their report clearly stated I did have 2 compressors, one of which was not functioning. So use Urban Worx at your own risk. read more

What a horrible company. Please read on. Spoke to the owner directly, James all was well until they attempted to do their poor work and service when I say poor I mean POOR. Thaniel their tech come to house for an air conditioner "TUNE UP"" service that is part of my Platinum service contract. I WAS NOT HOME WHEN THEY PERFORMED THEIR SERVICE. According to my security camera he was at my residence all of 18 minutes. When I arrived home 2 days later I found my air-conditioning system going full blast and the house was 53 degrees inside. My unit had been turned off when they originally serviced it. Since it was a Saturday I called and followed the emergency instructions. texted them and called insurance company they tried to contact sent e mails called emergency number to NO avail. About 6 hours later I got a call from owner James. He made it sound like I was inconveniencing him on a weekend and that I should be happy he was responding at all. I told him that that I might send him a bill my extra electric for the 48 hours the air was left on. He was not happy to hear that and said I would have to sue him in small claims, besides telling me that if i insisted on back billing him he would delay coming out until Monday as this was NOT an emergency. I told him I was NOT staying at the house that cold as I was sick and would stay the night at a local hotel. At any rate I was able to turn off the air by going outside and pulled the power for the fuses. He said his tech would be out at 9:00am the next morning. I got up early and waited for him at 10:00 am I texted him and he responded that his tech would be here in an hour. So I got up early and NO ONE had the courtesy to call and tell me he was going to be VERY late. The tech came, Thaniel again as before and within one minute supposedly fixed the problem. BUT he never checked and NOW the airconditioner does NOT turn on at all. I am stuck now in a hot house because of their lousy service and the Tech Thaniel had the audacity to tell me that maybe I should not be so cheap and that I should pay retail to expect better service. ie do not use my insurance coverage. I am sending complaints to the state contractors board etc. This company is TERRIBLE and the owner James is rude and obnoxious. read more
