The lady on the phone was so professional, seemed to care, was very transparent about pricing, timing, and what to expect. I waited two days for my appointment and Mike arrived. He was so thorough and showed us pricing for various things they recommended vs. fixing the bare minimum. I liked the thorough break down. While he was here I had him look at a loose outlet I'd had issues with since I had bought my home. I had another electrician come out and look at it before and he is the one that left it loose. The prior electrician couldn't figure out why the bottom socket didn't work. Mike looked it over for maybe five seconds max and knew what caused the issue instantly. Chose Home Team Electric in Dec '25 for a complete electrical upgrade for our Townhouse in PSP. They replaced all of our CAN lights, under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, switches and wall plates throughout. They also swapped out all our stab back plug connections with pigtail ones, replaced several incompatible circuit breakers and a broken circuit breaker at our jacuzzi sub-panel. In addition, they installed surge protection at the main and jacuzzi sub-panel. The overall experience was great - Josh was excellent at helping us chose just the right lighting options and was clear in explaining areas throughout the home that were potential safety hazards. From the moment we met him we had a good feeling Home Team Electric was going to do a great job. The project was extensive but completed in just a few days before XMas thanks to the awesome team of Jimmy, Oscar, Gio, Brett, Boni and Josh. They were hard working, problem solvers, detailed oriented and did a great job keeping our place clean. On top of all that they were all really nice! I wish I could leaves zero stars. To install three fans and four outdoor lights the bid that was given by Carlos Camarena came in at $13,000! Are you kidding me? Carlos was so smug and extremely rude to our handyman that was there doing a few projects for us. I would not recommend this company and especially Carlos. it's a shame because we own three rental properties and are always looking for a good electrician. I guess we need to keep looking. My Generac generator would not start after doing the routine maintenance on it. My friend works in the neighborhood and as I was leaving I passed by the home team electric company, so I turned around and stopped by to see if they repaired Generacs. The receptionist said they only serviced them but she gave me a number to call. She then went back into an office and talked to someone. No luck. I told her that I had heard about the oil pressure switch sometimes goes bad. She then mentioned that she had heard about that around the office. So anyway I called the repair guy and mentioned the oil pressure switch, and he agreed that it was a good idea to replace it. $30 for the switch on Amazon, and 45 minutes later it was up and running. These guys have done several jobs for us quite satisfactorily, so I accepted their "offer" that I pay $8 per month to ensure that they would always be available when I needed them. However, when we got to Palm Springs in early December after being out of town for several months, we found that a large portion of our house had no electrical service. I called the next day and was told that the next appointment was several weeks away. I said that this was sort of an emergency and that we were monthly "subscribers." Didn't matter. I was told in no uncertain terms that they were too busy to bother with us. I called another electrician who showed up in half an hour and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes (short in a recessed light fixture that Home Team had previously serviced, potentially dangerous). Their website claims they have 24-hour service. Really? Since then, I have been trying to cancel the $8 per month charge without success. The Contact form on their website consistently returns an error message, so I guess my next move is to dispute the charge with the bank. Too bad. I thought we were pretty good customers. read more

0 stars...I felt scammed in my own home... they charged me $99 to have someone drive out, which I assumed was to have someone give me a quote, but that couldn't be further from the case. They ended up telling me they were going to charge me another $300 to do a "home inspection" in order to tell me whether or not an electrical plug was 220 volts or not. I felt like I had to do it or else I wouldn't be able to find out about my outlet.... They ended up checking every electrical thing in my house and gave me quotes on what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix each one of those...all were around 2k-6k. They said if I ended up requesting a service they could "call the office" to waive the inspection fee... I didn't want or need an inspection, and was in no position to make a 2k decision on a whim...all I needed was to see if one outlet was 220 volts. I really feel like I am at the very least owed my $300 back, when i know other services give quotes for free. Pretty insane to think about the fact I got scammed in my own home. read more

Let me warn you about what to expect when these folks show up.... I recently bought a place and needed a few outlets and switches replaced, wanted to install a recessed outlet behind the TV and add some dimmer switches. I made my appointment with Home Team three weeks out and eagerly awaited having all these dangling projects completed. What I got was two very professional electricians who spent a good 30 minutes analyzing my home only to tell me that essentially, I needed to spend $10k to complete my projects and keep my home from burning to the ground. Their exact words were "your wiring is so bad we don't feel safe working in your home". A little context: This 1,500 sq ft townhome was built in 1982, when assuredly building codes were civilized (not according to these technicians). Granted, there have been about five previous owners and the last ones let this place go to pot. I have no doubt there is some dubious wirings behind my walls, but why not pin point specifics and offer a realistic solution, not put the fear of God into me and tell me I need take out a mortgage on my home to keep it safe. They also repeatedly claimed not a single other electrician will do me right. So I parsed things out a bit, asking how much they charged for replacing my GFI outlets - $89 per outlet for 15 minutes of work. That's more than my high priced LA lawyer charges for legal advice. In the end I spent three weeks waiting to have my odd electrical jobs completed, spent $80 for an estimate (which they offered to waive but I declined out of principle) and got frightened witless that unless I spend $10k my home will fry. Absolutely nothing gained. End of day, I was $80 poorer and needed to find an affordable electrician who will show up and just do the jobs hired to do at a market going price. I fully trust Home Electric's work and technicians are amazing - they are nice, professional if not slightly intimidating. If you have endless streams of cash and ready to rewire your entire home by all means call on these folks. If you just need a little work done, go elsewhere. In the end I found an AMAZING and highly recommended electrician, fully licensed and bonded, who completed all my projects for $800 which included fixing any dubious wiring. I was caught off guard by this vendor and don't want the same to happen to others. They are all about the upsell and I trust excellent service too. read more

Ceiling fan install. Pricey - but they got the job done. After booking appointments with 2 other electricians who didn't show - Home Team Electric (Josh) arrived on time. Nice guy. Did the install. Also did an inspection of my overall electric and found a couple things that I need to (and will) address. There was an issue with kitchen GFCI reset that he couldn't find. I found it for him. No big deal. All in all: They showed up, they did the work. BUT I had the feeling there was an emphasis on upselling. Ceiling fan install - about 400 bucks. Suggested electrical improvements?
