Day of surgery, I sent my husband with the prescription from the doc and my insurance card. The guy at the counter wouldn't even look at the prescription or the card. He said insurance never covers "toilet stuff." My husband paid out of pocket and returned home. I got back on the phone with the insurance rep. They were aghast. They do cover it and asked the name of the store. When I told them it was Shaw Med, they said Shaw is no longer in-network. This is the largest medical supply store in Eugene, and they are no longer in-network. So they lied to us, and now I can't get reimbursed for the item because Shaw wouldn't bill insurance. They are terrible!

Not even a full week later, the wheel got caught in a sidewalk crack and the bracket that holds the front wheel got bent out of shape. I brought it in the next day and they jumped right on it and went absolutely above and beyond to get it repaired in just a short wait. You can tell that they both have passion for the quality of people's lives. I would recommend them to anyone!

She went through from top to bottom and start to finish she helped us fit our masks that we got to pick out from a nice selection. She answered all of our questions thoroughly. She was wonderful. I got a brand new CPAP machine and for all of the included parts I'd definitely say it's worth the money. I highly recommend Norco Medical as they have pretty much everything you'd need for sale. This required working out the logistics with Springfield NORCO, requiring a concentrator for the overnight stays at the hotel, and tanks for the sessions during the day. Our local NORCO branch supplied the tanks. Springfield provided the concentrator, hose & cannula. They delivered it to the hotel prior to our arrival, and simply could not have been more helpful. Overall this has been, and continues to be my personal experience with NORCO.

She spoke with Josh most recently, and he helped her out, getting he set up with a machine that was working properly. But he was unclear with her instructions on what she needed to return, so she took back some of the auxiliary items that it wasn't necessary to bring with the machine (and which they couldn't reuse anyway, even unopened, and now she has to wait for a new delivery of those items). Their location is kind of a pain, all the way out in east Springfield, but that doesn't figure into my review of them here.

It is a shame. IT ISN'T JUST THIS DEALER, THE OTHERS DO IT, TOO. Just like high priced drugs, prices are fixed to be high because the adults with disabilities are a captive group. The needy can't be held to the same supply and demand standards of our society. Prices on Medical equipment for the disabled should be regulated with price caps; where dealers can't charge double and triple the retail price. If you get an estimate expect that some items are doubled or tripled in price and so is the labor. It isn't necessarily the big items they inflate; watch the little things like interlocks, wiring harnesses,etc.; they figure that you would be ignorant about the prices on these items and about how many hours it takes to install. ADA laws don't protect anyone from these dealers. So called safety memberships which are supposed to protect the public are actually only concerned about their dealer membership numbers and are in fact lobbyists for the dealers. The dealers pay these organizations for membership in return for so-called education. They say it is for education to keep us safe, more like it to dig deeper into our wallets. They provide an excuse to charge us more and to make the dealer more "respectable." There are several of these organizations which the dealer has tags for. Some charge the customer $100 for the safety tag. You can request "no" tag. Whether they go along with it is up to them, they can just tell you to go take a hike. In addition, they want you to buy their pre-equipped vans. The bottom line, the dealers don't want to add to your old van or a new van unless they get paid a lot of money. Beware and be careful how you question them, because if they catch on that you might know something about the costs, or if you challenge them, they will ignore your request and you won't even get an estimate let alone the work done. Like plumbers who now get $85 per hour and other contractors, these mobililty techs get $125 per hour or rather that is what the dealership charges you for their labor.

They never showed up the next morning either so we finally got hold of someone about 11:00 & they were very apologetic but we decided to change providers & they were out within 4 hours. Thankfully I had the portable tank from the hospital that got me through the night!l & it wasn't a dire constant need! Now we're having issues getting them to come out & get their portable tank!
