I came in here with my brother earlier in the week looking for a cane for my mother. I remember…read morecoming in here many years ago with my mom and my brother when we needed a stethoscope for mom. Neither of us could remember the name of this business, but we knew it was nearby and we find of stumbled on it. Lol. Once we found it, I knew we had been here before. Which tells me this business has been around for many years now. We walked in and were immediately greeted by an employee. We told her we were looking for a quad cane, and we didn't want the basic silver ones. We wanted to know what other options they had. My mother is going through chemo and has become unsteady on her feet. So she needs a little help. In order for her not to kill me by throwing my back out by pulling on my arms, it was time to get her a cane. I also have this thing about the silver ones. They scream nursing home to me. I didn't want my house to start resembling one with medical supplies, nor did I want her to feel like she was headed there. So a fun, funky/stylish color was what I wanted. The woman (I didn't get her name, unfortunately) totally understood what I was saying, and she opened up a book to special order the cane, and gave us a full page of choices. She really listened to what we wanted and tried to give us the best options. We also had a prescription for the insurance to pay for the cane. She answered the questions we had about this, and was just really helpful. She made sure she had all the information needed. We subsequently asked about a couple other kinds of medical supplies we may be needing in the future, and if they carried them. They don't carry what we thought we would need later, but she knew of a couple other medical supply stores that did, and recommended them. I have huge respect for a business that can't help me with what I need, but they help by sending me in the right direction with recommendations. She could have just said, sorry. We don't have those, and gone on with the order. We ordered the cane, and we should have it within a week. Perfect. They will call and we will go pick it up when it becomes available. Would I return here? Absolutely! The customer service we received in here was excellent. We found mom a cane and ordered it, and have recommendations for other supplies she may need in the near future. The woman who helped us was attentive, listened to our needs, and answered our questions completely. My brother and I left here very happy. Review 51 of 2017.

Hiron's uses the same principle as dense urban areas: when real estate is limited, build vertically! The place it quite literally floor-to-ceiling with gifts, merch, sundries, goodies, and sooooo much more. The only minor knock is the 'organization' can be a touch shaky, but hey, throw in friendly service and that lack of sales tax in Oregon (I'm not local and love that) and WHAM! winner of a place. One of my wife's fave takeaways from a visit to see our Duck is a T-shirt from Hiron's; she always gets complements on it! You're on your own with parking since Safeway shares the lot and it can be like playing Frogger getting to the door (with you as the frog). Prices are fair and match the value, but if you need UO with a swoosh....then you can overspend elsewhere. I have never left Hiron's with less than five items, including my very first visit when I dropped my Duck off three years ago. They have the things I want, the things I didn't know I wanted, and tons of things to browse through and call my own.

Literally one can find all things here. Came for the drug store to buy saline spray. Left with baby…read moregifts, toilet tissue, Oregon sticker & magnet, little musical crank box, cooler bag, gift cars... 168 later. Great prices and friendly service

I ended up leaving Northwest Medical Homes as a patient due to how they handled a mistake made by a…read moreDO. After a visit where the DO renewed and prescribed a medication that I have been taking for 27 years, I received vague voicemails from the office for weeks, asking me to call back to answer a question they had. I had indicated on my patient form that I only accept text communication, which was completely ignored. After 5+ voicemails in a 2-week span from someone named NATASHA (whose role I still don't know), I returned the call. I was connected to NATASHA, who spoke to me as if she knew my medical history. She was rude and confrontational, didn't even have the name of my condition correct, and demanded 2025 lab results (which I would have obtained had my DO mentioned it in the visit) and the name of an endocrinologist I had seen in 2025. The last time I saw an endocrinologist was the previous April. Eventually, it became clear to me that the DO had made a mistake by writing the prescription and NATASHA expected me to remedy that mistake by seeing an endocrinologist ASAP, all while treating me like I had done something wrong. There is a shortage of endocrinologists in this town and I wanted to wait until I saw an OBGYN to get a recommendation on which specialist to see. I told Natasha this on the phone and via email, but she continued to badger me via voicemail and email, as if I had somehow caused this issue, despite my asking to speak directly with the DO. Eventually, I told them I would be finding new care, yet they continued to reach out using the same accusatory tone and asking the same questions. This was CYA documentation 100%. To make matters worse, they pulled my prescription from Walgreens, leaving me without a medication I literally need to live. It will take me time to find a new PCP and now I am worried I will need to ration my medication. This is not just any regular RX--it's a synthetic hormone that controls excessive thirst and urination. In 27 years of having this condition, no primary care doctor has ever forced me to be seen by an endocrinologist. I do MRIs every 5 years and the DO wanted me to have one off schedule. To the DO: You made the mistake, and you should have owned it and communicated with me directly. From there, I would have told you that I do not consent to annual endocrinologist visits and we could have parted ways then and there. What you were asking also could have been addressed at my next appointment, instead of putting me through weeks of stress and confusion. TL;DR: If a DO at Northwest Medical Homes makes a mistake, be prepared for weeks of harassment by voicemail, letters, and emails until you fix it. I've never been treated this poorly by any medical office. Do better!

My experience was mostly with Holly and she is at the front desk, but I can see from interactions between Holly and the rest of the staff that they are extremely customer service oriented, thank you Northwest !
