I had two flush mount fixtures that were acting up - I figured loose wiring. Called Jake - his guy came out 30 min later. Checked all my stuff - diagnosed my problem, relocated some fixtures so I didn't have to replace everything to make them match, then headed to Home Depot to buy replacements. I called Urban Power about a week ago to get an estimate for repairing my bathroom ceiling from the water damage (plus big hole) inflicted by an incident with my upstairs neighbor's horrible plumbing. Jake fielded the call, gave me an estimate of $200 - $300 and scheduled Johnny to swing by at 8:30 the next morning. Johnny arrived 10 minutes early (!), did a great job with the drywall patch, re-painted the ceiling, cleaned up after himself well (!!) and was our before noon. Total cost? $200, on the low end of the estimate. These guys rock. I can't tell you how many contractors have blown off appointments, left huge messes, done sloppy work, aborted jobs halfway through and kept my keys. By comparison, this was a dream. I had Jake and his partner install 22 recessed lights across four bedrooms in an already finished home. Not an easy job, and they made it looks simple in just two days. Pricing is very fair given this level of expertise and care for the job. Ceilings are perfect -- not a single scratch, knick, or anything -- it's wild.
