If Jake was a nordic mythical legend, he'd be 80 ft tall with a beard of red flames. He'd enter your home riding his trusty pegasus made of electricity and carry a trident made of pure awesome. I was lucky enough to gave Jake a try and I've had him fix a couple of electrical issues in my recently purchased condo. Long story short, he came in once solo and once with his team. Each repair was done within 1-2 hrs and he did an amazing job. Not only that, but he fixed the wiring of my ceiling fan/light switch - AND I DIDN'T EVEN ASK for that. He just made it right. I called Urban Power about a week ago to get an estimate for repairing my bathroom ceiling from the water damage (plus big hole) inflicted by an incident with my upstairs neighbor's horrible plumbing. Jake fielded the call, gave me an estimate of $200 - $300 and scheduled Johnny to swing by at 8:30 the next morning. Johnny arrived 10 minutes early (!), did a great job with the drywall patch, re-painted the ceiling, cleaned up after himself well (!!) and was our before noon. Total cost? $200, on the low end of the estimate. These guys rock. I can't tell you how many contractors have blown off appointments, left huge messes, done sloppy work, aborted jobs halfway through and kept my keys. By comparison, this was a dream. Giving four stars because Jake hasn't ended up doing any electrical work for us yet, but he is definitely on our list of people to call. We had work done by a contractor on our new place before we moved in, and some of the electrical work was sub-par and needed to be redone. Since badly done electrical work is a safety issue, we wanted to have the redone work checked by another electrician to verify that it was redone correctly and safely. Jake picked up the phone when I called and was able to come out later that week, despite being in the middle of a huge job (which luckily was nearby, which I think helped). He quoted us a price of $100 to check all the work, which considering the amount of work done throughout the house was very reasonable. Jake came out and looked at everything, verified that while some of the work was amateurish it wasn't unsafe, and then waived his fee and didn't even charge us!
