I've been going here for a few months and have not been disappointed. This time I wanted to switch it up and get a minimalist design done (I've never had a design done before). Joanne, I believe that is her name, was the one that did my nails and when I showed her she was very confident that she can get it done. I picked out the color and even while she was doing my nails, she came out with colors similar to give me options in the particular shades that would go together which was amazing cause the colors she brought out worked great. I'm in love with the result! read more

I always have such a wonderful experience at Urban Nails. From the moment I walked in, the staff is welcoming, and professional. The salon was clean, beautifully decorated, and has a relaxing atmosphere. My nail technician, Tawni, always takes the time to understand exactly what I want and makes helpful suggestions to make the final results even better. I get the Biogel manicure and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out--flawless finish, great attention to detail, and no rushing. They also have a great selection of colors! I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great nail salon. read more

Best value for your money, they always do a great job, and the staff is friendly. Oh and the restroom is always clean!

Really great experience at Urban Nail Salon! The salon was clean and relaxing, and everyone was super friendly. My nail tech was very patient and paid attention to detail, making sure the shape and color were exactly how I wanted. My nails turned out beautiful and have held up really well. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Extremely Unprofessional. Let me with half the service. I asked for a manicure pedicure and waited one hour, after they started and completed the. Pedicure the told me they couldn't do the manicure and for me to come back tomorrow. Unacceptable. If you can't do the service, say it in the first place. They didn't even bother removing the sample polish in my finger nails. It's cheap so I see why they are busy and can't keep up. read more

First time here, but have heard good things. I came in to see the prices. Basic mani/pedi $50. They had availability right then. So I got it done. Peter did my pedicure and Jennifer did my manicure. My feet were tired and needed attention. My hands were dry and overworked. Lol (Last salon visit was October 14th) The massage chairs are nice and work well. They use tub liners and open the utensils from sealed bags right in front of you. Both technicians wore masks (not unusual in a nail salon) The shop itself is well kept and clean. It's basic salon decor. Nothing fancy, but nice. They had a TV going. Some foreign (German maybe) cooking YouTube channel. Unfortunately, it was on loop making the same cake over and over, but it did looked good. Haha. Peter did a great job on my pedicure. He gave a really really great leg massage. I liked that it was strong and worked out the muscles. Unfortunately I don't get that often and it's very welcome. Especially since I stand on my feet 10 hours a day at work. The end result were pretty toes. I went with a deep wine color. Great color to transition from fall to winter. Jennifer got the shape of my nails perfect. My nails are flat and brittle, so I have to keep them short. They don't grow much anyway and it's horrible. Not very pretty nails sadly. My job is rough on my hands. Truthfully, I usually have to ask for the file so I can "fix" their attempt at shaping, but this time I didn't need to. And I always have to ask for clean up in the cuticle area, and again she got it totally right. I usually get them buffed because color looks ridiculous on my nails. But I went for a clear glitter this time. I was feeling seasonally festive. I like the outcome of both services and I will be returning to this salon. read more

I had the most amazing experience at Urban Nails today. I went in for a Pedicure and to get acrylics put on. I have some special situations with my feet. A bunion and hammertoes.. You would never know it because they were so kind and accommodating with me. It was so relaxing. They were so friendly kind and accommodating. My nails look lovely for the holidays. I am thrilled by my experience. I highly recommend Urban Nails. read more

I got an infection from their pedicures!!! Toe nails kept breaking due to not cleaning the tools!!!!

I feel bad posting a bad review as the staff was super sweet but I came in for a manicure and left with multiple cuts on my fingers from the employee filing my skin. At one point I started bleeding and she just grabbed a cotton ball to clean it up and KEPT filing that same spot. I expressed pain a few times and she just said I still had glue on the corners and kept going at it. I left thinking it was just one finger she cut but after getting home I realized it was 4 different fingers. read more

This was my first time here. I came 20 minutes before they closed. I'm so happy with the service. Very friendly. They offered gel x which I've never had done before. And I couldn't be more happy with how they turned out. I wish I got the name of my nail tech. But over all experience was amazing. My new found nail salon. The vibe there was great. Music was perfect. read more

Still can't say enough great things about this place. Incredibly friendly team, and all super talented. Whether I'm getting a full set, a gel manicure, or a pedicure, I always leave feeling refreshed and confident. The salon itself is beautiful too, and I low-key love that I get to watch Beat Bobby Flay on TV throughout the whole process :) Thank you so much to everyone who works here. Horrible experience. I waited 45 minutes just to start, then was left with solution burning on my nails for 30 minutes. When someone finally did my manicure, she rushed through it in 20 minutes, didn't bother finding the color I chose, and brushed it off saying "colors don't always match." The next day my fingers were dry, irritated, and wrinkled from being left in the solution too long. Unprofessional, careless, and unacceptable. I will never come back and do not recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I've never been to this salon before until I got a gift certificate. Off the bat everyone was very welcoming but the man that did my nails cut me twice and was very aggressive when filing my nails with the nail drill. I went in needing a fill but he was filing so much of my previous nails that he started filing my natural nails which started to hurt and almost burn. I then asked for silver glitter and even showed him a picture and he grabbed a hot pink glitter and put it on one nail and asked what I thought and when I said that's not what I wanted he sighed as if he was bothered which made me very uncomfortable. He then forget to put the last coat on my left hand which made my nails look matte and my right hand shiny.. but I felt this tension with him so I didn't want to tell him. Luckily I had some stuff at home to do it myself. I wish I got his name but from the 2 times I've gone he's been seated on station 11. I am very hesitate to go back, if I ever do I definitely will not be getting my nails done by him. read more

Just had the worst experience I've ever had both here and at any other salon. Yesterday evening I went for a pedicure and gel x manicure the lady who did my pedicure was lovely as always she's done my pedicure before. This said the man,I missed his name in my frustration, who did the gel x completely ignored what I asked. I need short nails due to various reasons and when I explained he nodded and made them longer than I needed. I asked for shorter and showed him what length I needed and I was given an exacerbated sigh he then proceeded to take and uneven swipe with the file to each nail impatiently asking if it was short enough so I explained again. He then fixed one nail the way I wanted and asked for approval I gave it and then he proceeded to leave all of my other nails uneven and too long. I left in frustration and came back today only to have the salon refuse to put me with any other person then the man who did them last night and then have him proceeded to make the only correct nail even shorter and leave the rest longer I'd asked again as well as wide and pointy at the tips. I ended up walking out even more frustrated as I'd never had this kind of experience before. I honestly wish I had just tried to do them myself or gone literally anywhere else! read more

Had a pedicure and manicure at the same time. The man doing my pedicure was kind enough and did a nice job. The woman handling my dip manicure however was sloppy, inpatient, and rude. She treated me like I was just another job with her attitude and as though she forgot I was another human being by yanking on my fingers and arms like I was a doll and burning my skin with the drill tool several times which by the way, shouldn't have been on my skin in the first place. She even had the audacity to tell me to "relax" and complain that I was tensing up, while she was burning my skin with the drill tool at the same time they were clipping my toe nails. Talk about out of touch. Anyone would tense up at that point. Then when she was finished she told me to wait for them to dry. I asked her if she'd let me know when the time was up. No, she forgot about me and I had to ask someone else. After being ordered (not asked) to wash my hands (post manicure) the trash can was full and the sink / trash area was filthy. I should have only tipped the man and not her and would have tipped more if it weren't for her carelessness with my manicure. This sloppy manicure and attitude are not acceptable. read more

I rarely post reviews but wanted to let everyone know what a great job the ladies here do for their customers..... Anna does a fabulous job and in the 8-9 years I have known her she has never disappointed me. Today the TV's are off.... and I understand it is due to customers insisting on news channels which support their political views and then arguing with other customers about their political views. I am ashamed of the lack of manners, self centered behavior, rudeness, and language used by everyone today. We all have opinions, and should respect one another! If you disagree so be it, but remember people are all trying to make a living, and politics have no business in a Nail Salon! read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm a salon owner in Ventura. I contemplated posting this. Because I know what it's like to work really hard to make people happy. This place was absolutely awful. Never again. Spend the $10 more dollars on your hands for a solid job. My mistake. I sat down to have my nails fixed from the day before by another technician in the same nail salon. As soon as I sat down I was given the "glare." When I told the lady that she was treating me poorly she complained about how many hours she works. My appointment was at 5pm. Which I responded that I also work long hours but I treat my clients with respect. I'm providing a service to wonderful people that enjoy my work and company. This was absolutely unconscionable. There's no reason to treat a client awful when they are fixing a problem. This was the experience I had and I was frustrated because I took time to allow them to fix the horrible job. I was kind but very uncomfortable because I knew I had to see another technician to fix the sloppy job. I was treated like a problem instead of acknowledging the problem and fixing it. The sad thing is, I really liked what the second tech did but she was so dang rude! This is my honest experience smh. read more

Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it's VERY cramped. Someone who was not stable on two legs would have real difficulty maneuvering the salon. Other than that, Peter did a great job on my pink acrylic full set with square shaping. Definitely happy. They're not too thick, they're all the same length, and the shape was perfect. He didn't trim my cuticles or put oil on, so that was a bummer but not detrimental. Will be visiting him again soon :) read more

This place really bummed me Out! The ladies look nice, and place is very clean. The nail tech I got stuck with, was nice until I turned her down when it came to upgrading to deluxe mani/pedi. She didn't talk to me, kept telling me To relax my hands (they were) and did such a crappy job. I can still see my Over grown cuticles, and I might as well have painted them myself. She rushed through, but was nice at the end when waiting for a tip. It was my first time, so I can't speak for the other ladies who seems nice, and chatty with their clients. But I won't be going back again. read more

I went in on Sunday for a gel manicure. All seemed well until the technician was 'finished'. My nails were still wet! How does that happen with gel? He laughs at me, says they're not and sends me on my way. Within a couple hours they started turning brown, it looked like I had a fungus. It is now Thursday and every single nail has peeled off. Oh, and the best part? My boyfriend proposed to me the next day. I had to put a layer of regular polish on over my fungus brown gel manicure before we took any pictures :/ read more
