I got a gel manicure on Monday, 8/10, and by the very next day I noticed the polish was already lifting. By Wednesday night, even more nails were lifting, and the ones that had started on Tuesday had gotten significantly worse. By Thursday morning, 8 nails had more than half of the gel polish peeled/lifted off. At that point, I ended up peeling the remaining gel off myself because it was practically falling off anyway. A gel manicure should absolutely last longer than two to three days. I paid for a professional manicure and expected professional results--not gel polish that starts lifting the very next day. read more

Staff was friendly and made both my daughter and I feel beautiful by the time we left.

Rude and filthy. Use same instruments on everyone and never clean them. Now have nail infections Stay away

Worst gel manicure and pedicure I ever had. She cut me twice with her nail machine, my nails are all uneven and the gel was lumpy. The polishing was the worst! I wasted my money going there. Trust these reviews and think twice before going. read more

What's in a name? Rather than a bad review, I generally leave no review. This experience was so bad I have to tell it. I had been wearing my natural nails and decided to have them done for an event. I walked into this salon for a full set and the nail tech had me sit right down at her station, which is the first one to the left when entering the salon. I had my own polish I wanted her to use and gave it to her. She took it and put it on her desk, saying she had another shade that was like what I had. I didn't understand why she didn't want to use my new bottle of Opi, which is a good brand, and asked her several times. It was hard to understand her English so I went along with her rather than keep asking her to repeat herself. (I later found out that was because she would have needed to adjust her price down if she used mine, rather than her own product.) So, I went along with her - not knowing that. She started on my nails and, after a bit, it became a battle between her large rough emery board and my skin. My skin lost. She was filing very quickly, as if in a hurry and I had to tell her several times that she was hurting my fingers. She would then slow down and become more careful. Not every pass of the emery board hurt, so we continued. Then, she was filing away while not looking at my fingers and really hurt my right thumb by sawing into the skin around the nail and I pulled away. She grabbed a bottle of liquid - lotion?? - and massaged it into my hand and fingers. She proceeded with the other hand and did the same thing. I said "Ouch, you're hurting me" and she said something that was NOT in English, which sounded something like "mew, mew, mew". (Think of a kid teasing others in a sing-song manner.) She said it softly under her breath - but just loud enough for me to hear it. I was perplexed, but gave her the benefit of the doubt. I guess I should have stopped her sooner but, being a polite person, we carried on through. After I got home, I called her and told her my fingers were sore. She behaved very strangely on the call, saying things to me that made me know someone else was there - probably another customer. She was faking the convo and not responding to my questions. I kept asking her to repeat her answers, but she would say something completely irrelevant to our conversation. Anyway, I thought I'd wait a while before writing this review. My right thumb kept hurting and over the next couple of days developed a hangnail. A very painful hangnail that impeded the use of my right hand in grooming. That pain/irritation lasted over a week. I will never go back there. I give her one star and a hard "NO". read more

I went to get a pedicure on 8/16/24, and Bill, was the person working on my feet. unfortunately, he snipped my big toe and it started to bleed a lot. They wanted to keep working on my pedicur, but I just took my things and walked out. Also, I didn't see their tools were sterile. Definitely would never recommend this place. read more

Literally the worst manicure I have ever gotten. It's sad because they're so friendly but wow! Bubbly, chipped. My cuticles are torn apart and raw... and this is only in day 1! I am so disappointed. Worst experience ever !!! Today 10/17/24 I came in to get a full set with Christina . I left with the first picture and came back because i was very unsatisfied with my set ! I called the salon and she answered I mentioned to her that I was unsatisfied and She said she can fix it and to go back in to the salon. She literally filed off half of the old nail polish and slapped another three layers . As you can see in the last pictures where they are thick and uneven . I politely told her I did NOT like it and asked for a refund she said she was unable to give me a refund but would try again and change the color . I specifically need a French tip so I declined the change of color and the new set because the integrity of my nails is already horrible ! I told her that I would just go get them fixed somewhere else and thanked her and her and a male worked proceeded to pull my hands and told me to sit I pulled away and walked out . This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon . read more

Nail Perfection - Getting a pedicure. Great service. Feel good - Nail Salons Near Me - Camarillo, California

I have been going to get pedicures here and have never had a problem, I'd always do walk ins and was attended very quickly, they lasted a long time and it was always a great experience. However this last time I had gone I mentioned ahead of time to the person doing my pedicure I am extremely ticklish so when it comes to exfoliating he proceeded to hold my foot down and tickle it with his hand then would continue exfoliating back and forth while laughing to try to get a reaction out of me, I don't ever tend to be very difficult but it made me extremely uncomfortable. Though out the pedicure he would continue to tickle my foot with his hand from time to time. Every other time I have gone I have had a great experience I'd recommend scheduling with a specific person in the future to avoid this from happening. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE GO TO CAMARILLO NAILS AND SPA!! Horrible customer service and my nails look worse than when I came in. It looks like my 3 year old painted my nails. I told the guy (before the first coat was applied) that the color he was using was not the color I picked. He responded "If you want another color you can pay $30 and get them done again" THIS PLACE WILL SCAM YOU, do not let them take your money! Again, Camarillo nails and spa does great work, highly recommend them. NAIL "PERFECTION" IS TERRIBLE. I spent over $100 in here and it's the worst service I've EVER received. I'm not one to leave negative reviews often, but please beware of these scam artists! Update: I got these done yesterday and 3 nails have already chipped which is not surprising. These photos don't even do justice for how bad they look in person. read more

Well... I have them an opportunity to fix their mistake but they refused.. so here I am writing this review about this nail shop, a friend and I went to get manicures together at this shop a few days ago and not only did my friend receive 3 separate infections in her nails from dirty tools, I received one and my nails were cut painfully short and the design I asked for is garbage, if you cannot provide a service, say that. My nails were not this short when I came in. But no she insisted she could do the design I showed her she charged me 50 dollars for nub nails and an infection.. I went back today to see if they would refund me and my friends money and I would not report them to the California health department, but they did not wish to fix this and the woman along with an older gentlemen both proceeded to yell at me telling me I was wrong, and that there was nothing they were gonna do to fix this.. I never once raised my voice at either of them. So please save yourself an infection and a headache and do not go here. I will share the picture of the design I asked if she could do and what I left with and of mine/my friends infections read more

Myself and 4 other of my friends came across this place while visiting our friend in the area. They have great service and made us feel welcomed, but the quality of their work did not match. It felt a little bit rushed considering we called ahead to make appointments. Attention to detail was not there. Each of us had imperfections, all of which could of been cleaned up if they took the time to check their work. One of us only had one nail to be fixed on her big toe. Her nail was broken and they put in an acrylic nail and painted it they charged her $10 while one of our friends got all of her toes repainted french tip and she was charged $12. It's just didn't set right considering the services were extremely different. Maybe if we just went on our own we would have had a different experience. See attached pictures. read more

Meh. My wifey came here the other night to get her nails and toes done. We drove all the way to Camarillo from Oxnard to come here. She promised Carmen's Mexican food afterwards so I was totally fine with going. They did a decent job, but at the time of the pedicure the guy doing it basically rubbed her skin off when massaging her feet. Deep tissue massage doesn't mean anything when you don't have any tissue left to massage. Everything all together was like 60 or 70 bucks. Seems a little on the high side to me. She was happy but she didn't seem overwhelmed. To top it all off their credit card machine was "broken" so I had to go pull out cash from the ATM for her to pay...I don't remember them letting us know that ahead of time. A bit unprofessional to me. I honestly don't think I would recommend this nail salon to a friend. Then again its not like a bunch of my friends hit me up for tips on places to get their nails done...I guess that's just me. :0) read more

My experience here has always been very positive. Tina is very personable and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Granted, my daughter didn't use her words when she was at CK nails and asked for a certain nail design, she was upset to tears saying they didn't do my nails the way that I wanted. They just did them plain white over again and I didn't even care anymore. She had already messed up my nails didn't put the rhyme stones so we went to Nail Perfection the next day she took care of my daughters nails. She gave me a fill. I don't feel like we were there that long she stayed overtime and they were already closed and it seemed fairly reasonable to redo her nails. Give me a pedicure and a manicure for $115. read more

Saw Annie again for a pedicure. This time no frills and the cost for a basic pedicure in the spa chair is $25. Forgot to mention that the first time I went they put all the items they used on me in a plastic zip-loc (the disposable foam flip-flops, nail file, buffer, toe separaters) and told me to bring them next time to save $3. So I paid $22 total today. Not a bad price to pay overall, anywhere else that I've paid less, I've gotten what I paid for (low quality or bad chairs). I'll be back :) It was a little busier today but I called ahead and had to wait maybe 10 minutes tops. read more

Last minute looking for a place to do my nails ended up being a horrible experience and making my feet look worse that they were looking in the first. Awful service, they told me on the phone it was 25 dollars to get my feet done with gelish and I ended up paying 30. Also they do not use gloves while moving from client to client. They do not sanitize the instruments/ areas they use. Such as: cuticle cutter, the little bag they have around the place where you submerge your feet. Overall horrible experience. read more

I came in and was told I had to wait for 15mins. Ok! Ended up waiting for 30! Then the gal that worked on me, Hanna, burned me 3 different times on one hand, just taking off the gel! Then she used the the drill on my cuticles! Big no no! I also asked for a small facial wax. Just my cheeks & to clean up my eyebrows. But Tina went to town on my face! So I was charged for a full face waxing. I also Had to trim my own eyebrows when I got home. I also had to wait for the waxing as well like 20 mins! Needless to say not going back there after I dropped $77! What a ripoff..... ;( #hatetofixmyownnails read more

I have been going to Nail Perfection for the past 6 years, which is when I moved to Camarillo. Tina is the only one who does my nails. She has done acrylics, gel nails, and french manicures on me. In November I was treated to a full set at another salon & the whole time I just kept thinking how I wish I was at my regular salon, Nail Perfection. The other salon did a horrible job on my nails, they looked like i had scraped them with something and they cracked within a day. Thank God for Tina, she took me near closing time and fixed my nails. She is truly the best at what she does! I have also gotten pedicures here by 3 different people and every single time it has been amazing. FYI- Your mani/pedis will last a month here! So if you are looking for QUALITY, then this is the place! read more

Wow. This was an unbelievably awful experience. Not only was the male tech not able to give me the French pedicure I asked for because I wanted a thin white line, he then mocked me and made fun of me to my face. Finally a female tech came over when I said I wanted to leave. She did attempt to make a thin white line on my toes but then continued to make fun of me. I'm not sure why my choice to have a thin white line for my French pedicure was so strange/difficult/humorous to these people, but it took two of them an hour to give me the worst pedicure I've ever had. read more

I just got my nails done, The owner (Tina's husband) is a bad and rude person. I went in and got told "you don't need to eat" with a laugh after, only because I'm over weight. This is my absolutely most favorite nail salon that I have ever attended! I've been to most places around Oxnard and none of them were worth remembering. The prices are very reasonable, not that expensive at all. I had my gel nails and a manicure done here and they did such a nice and professional job! I got a light pink shade done and the colors look bright and glittery. I also requested rhinestones, and the rhinestone quality seems like it was Swarovski crystal or very high quality type flatbacks. (Unlike the other nail salons which had cheap looking gems.) It's been three weeks now and my gel nails are still in amazing shape, my nails kinda grew out but I'm planning to come back soon for touch-ups. They always have a wide variety of different nail polish colors and gel tips and printed. Nail perfection keeps up to date with the most in-season and trendy gel and acrylic nail sets. The hello kitty stickers they have are sooo cute too. (* U* ) The workers there were very inviting, honest, and sincere people. I felt welcomed and the whole environment had a relaxing home-feeling to it. I love this place (^ O ^)/ 5* read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I went once before to get my eyebrows waxed and they did an okay job. My second visit resulted in them ripping the skin off around my eyebrows and on my eyelids and they still made me pay!! I have huge gashes around my eyes right now. Ok so let me start with this review by saying I read ALL the other reviews including the ones not recommended ... I have know the owner Tina for over 21 years. I have worked with her in a beauty salon as well ( I am a hair dresser) this is how I met her. I have followed her from place to place and she has always done my acrylics. In fact she is the only one who can make them last for one month! ( yes I see her only monthly) I love Tina she has always been professional but takes care of the clients too. What I will say about the other complaints is this: one we all have off days in any job! Two: if you see 20 people a day chances are your gonna nick someone or someone is gonna get upset with you. It's a matter of statistics..... I have been to a lot of other places as well with traveling and moving and such... All the complaints I heard have happened their as well it's the nature of the business. I have always been treated very nicely with all the staff members as well. I have moved out of the area and tried other places.... None as good as Nail Perfection... Needless to say I drive back monthly to see Tina and once agin I get tons of complements. Her prices have gone up over the years but I feel like they are about right in the industry. I think people come here and seeing an all Asian staff assuming to get an amazing job for cheap.... Doesn't work that way. They are professional and friendly and I recommend them. Also I would like to say I have NEVER in 21 years got an infection from Going to Nail Perfection! Tip: go when it's not their busy time, but this place seems busy most the time so good luck!! read more

They were busy when my friends and I visited, but I'm not giving them one star for that. I asked for a mani and a pedi, but only walked away with the pedi because they took 2 hours to complete it.
