This month marked my first year purchasing and selling at Urban Kids. I love it!!! I love all the deals that I find and the gently used items that my children get to use. Honestly, there are great deals everyday but some events you find the best deals on the pre-sale ticketed event which is Tuesday evening. Saturday is the 1/2 off sale if the seller marks yes for discount and I saw a jogger stroller go for $24!!! I couldn't believe it!!!! There are great deals here. As a seller I have had a great experience working with Heather. Heather can be very specific on how she expects items to arrive to her store BUT that is only because she issues ensuring only the best of the best items come to her store. She wants to provide the public with great deals and have wonderful items to show for it. I'll tell you one thing, if reading through contracts and directions is not your thing... don't sell here. High expectations for sellers equivalates high items!!! That's the whole purpose for it. Urban Kids has a great reputation for their inventory but that's because of the high expectations we are held too. This is not for the procrastinators who think they can just gather items and show up expecting for it to be sold. Read the website, the contracts and come prepared. I rarely get items turned away because I bring in items in the condition that is expected. I look forward to selling every six weeks with Urban Kids because of the extra income it gives my family but also for the opportunity to learn with each sale. Can't wait for August! read more

I have sold many times at Urban Kids. It was great years ago but I hate to say that's not the case anymore. I price my items sooo cheap because it's promoted that the goal of this event is to clean out space in the home, save money , while helping other families find what they need... right!? Wrong... As the events continue, I am seeing a pattern of people who are pricing items at MORE than half price of retail... I'm being honest when I say I am not going to spend $250 on a wagon when I can get a new one for the same price at target. First off, isn't that against the "rules". Secondly, why are people trying to COME UP from second hand items... ??? Trying to profit off new moms trying to buy things for their kids..? Make it make sense... you have new moms and grandparents shopping for second hand items that are banged up at almost retail price. It's very disappointing. The rules need to be enforced. On Saturdays, the 50% days, there's nothing left that's of decent quality. It's all ragged clothing and broken toys, that's not discounted. The volunteers are just moms and dads who want a higher return on their items so don't blame them if they can't answer your questions, they'll just tell you to read the sign and look on your contract, yeah no help at all. If your items come up missing, forget even asking about it. It's a loss basically, no compensation, no solutions , just sorry it's all donated or your loss! The volunteers make mistakes and either don't scan items at check out or someone walked out with it , because your items will go missing and that's money you lost. Someone needs to revisit the white board and train the volunteers more thoroughly so they don't make mistakes that end up costing us more. There are other reviews about THEFT & their items found in another persons cart.. I believe it. They also delete comments on their Facebook and Instagram when shoppers and sellers try to start a convo about what concerns them about the event. Yup, that's the solution to honest feedback, just block and delete instead of listening to the moms and families that keep your business going. read more

Be sure to read the other reviews about the owner Heather! They charge an extra $3 if you spend more than $25 even if paying cash! Went to their Tustin location. It was ok. The pricing for strollers and other big items were a little expensive. You're better off waiting for retailers to go on sale because it's cheaper that way. I find it disrespectful that they allow to sell used nipples. After the ByHeart recall, they shouldn't allow those to be sold. If purchasing more than $25, there will be $3 charge on top of tax. I don't think I'll be checking them out again. I'll either wait for the sale or check out FB marketplace. read more

Updated review: First time consignor after being a first time shopper! After paying a registration fee, the directions are very clear on what to do, how to prepare, how to price items, etc. My questions were also addressed promptly when I needed help! The whole process seemed like a lot of work initially like purchasing metal hangers, card stock paper and a tagging gun. It was not as terrible as I thought once I began fixing up all my items and now I have all the materials to sell again at the next event. The online system to input items was easy to use! Since I'm a buyer and look for great deals, I made sure to price everything to sell. Dropping off items to sell before the event was easy and quick since there is a scheduled drop off time. Make sure you read everything so it goes smoothly! I did appreciate how each item is inspected. Picking up unsold items and my check was also a quick easy process. I ended up selling most of my items! Overall, the experience was great and would definitely do it again! read more

I volunteered for a shift at this event last week, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. Heather was unapproachable and unfriendly toward volunteers. I was assigned to move full boxes and large items throughout the venue. Many of the items were extremely heavy for my frame, and while other women kindly stepped in to help when they saw me struggling, the carts provided were not always usable. Several volunteers commented that there were limited people available to assist with moving heavier items, and the one other volunteer assigned to similar tasks was occupied moving their own boxes as well. Throughout the shift, Heather closely monitored volunteers, frequently pointing out mistakes in a degrading manner rather than offering support or guidance. I offered multiple times to help her when she appeared busy, and each time she responded rudely. At one point, I ran out of tape and asked where I could get more. Instead of simply directing me, I was questioned about why I needed it and then not told where to find it. It became clear this was not an isolated experience. Other volunteers openly shared similar frustrations about her attitude, and later I found numerous reviews echoing the same concerns. This is meant to be a community-focused event for families and children, and being both personable and organized is essential in this type of setting. The issues continued at pickup. We discovered that 10-15 of our items were missing, and the only response we received was an apology. My husband even found one of our items in another consignor's cart. Theft is clearly a concern, yet there appears to be little accountability or protection in place for consignors. Due to this experience, I will be sticking with Rhea Lana's, who guarantees items, supports their consignors, and operates with a high level of organization and professionalism. I'm a business professor. Let me explain why this place is amazing and why I've already told my expecting friends about it as I drove home: Real deals these days generally don't exist, but this place ACTUALLY has REAL deals. Our modern, tech-connected economy is incredibly efficient. It's why "going out of business" sales are generally garbage and even swap meets are filled with imported junk. Put simply, the supply chain is so streamlined that the deals we used to get decades ago have gone extinct. So I was blown away to come across this local gem full of quality, brand-name, curated baby items. My only goal coming here was to hopefully find a bassinet that my wife and I liked when we had our first son. They had it. The exact one I was looking for. And another that was very similar. Both in great condition. I bought both for at least 50% off retail. Then I came across an Uppababy stroller with all the upgrades and attachments for a fraction of the price I would have paid new (and we never would have bought it new). I wasn't sure how to operate it, so one of their super helpful employees patiently walked me through how to attach the various parts, collapse it, unlock it, etc. She even went and found me some accessories I was planning on getting off Amazon while I finished shopping for a couple more items. Everyone that worked here, including the owner, Heather, was so nice, helpful, and accommodating. I can't emphasize it enough: places like this generally don't exist. You generally never get REAL deals on products you ACTUALLY were looking to buy... and yet this unicorn of a store provides that exact experience. If you're within driving distance of this and are in the market for baby items, you need to come here first before paying more than you need to elsewhere. read more

I've been a shopper at this event multiple times and have always had great success in finding awesome deals. It seems counterintuitive to need to buy a ticket to save money but it's totally worth it!! If you want to score on the best prices, you need to get a ticket to get in on the first day. This was my first time as a seller and I thought it was an extremely positive and organized experience. Heather is very specific about how to prep, tag, drop off your items - but rightfully so. I couldn't believe how smooth everything went and how fast their team gets these items ready for the sale. As a mom of three kids (three and under), it's truly a financial blessing to be able to sell my items and turn around to buy the next round of items I need at incredible prices. I'm very thankful for this event and will 100% participate again and again! read more

I cannot express how wonderful it is to sell with Urban Kids. My wife is always so happy to give back to the community by selling items our boys have outgrown. We love to give back by selling here and giving our gently used items another opportunity to be loved by another family. Heather is so professional and detailed oriented on what is expected of us as sellers. It makes it easier for us to sell and declutter our homes. Then we get to shop from thousands of times that we know are great! We find amazing deals here that are sometimes even unheard of. We believe in sustainability and know that this pop up event is the place to find quality items for our children as they grow up. I found this event to be very organized for the amount of consignors there were. Products for sale were in great condition and reasonably priced; especially since many of the items were brand new. I've been a concerned for over 20 years and love the . wonderful idea its a great way to save. I never consiged with urban kids it was the worse exsperence . the owner Heather is so rude i can believe she has any return customers. She charges. You for s form you have to fill out stating your responsible to pull you items that didn't sell and if you missed something its urban kids. I would love to give zero stars, but that is not an option. The lady who runs this thing is a fraud. She falsely advertised pre-sale tickets for early entry for 6pm to "shop with the sellers" for $40!! Now I thought that was steep since most other consignment sales for kids charge $20 max, but I figured it was worth a try. Boy was I wrong. I showed up early thinking I'd be first in line only to discover a huge line of sellers for 5pm entry. I was so confused. I asked the lady, saying, I thought I had first entry, and she was like," Oh no, the sellers get in first." Huh? You advertised tickets over a dozen times on your website for early entry at 6pm to shop with the sellers. This was shopping one hour after the sellers entered and took all the good items. Seriously, nothing left by the time I got in except a few clothing items, shoes, and books. Everyone else in line near me started complaining before I even said anything and I was like great I'm not the only one thinking this was ridiculous. I finally went up to the lady who runs it again to say something because it was really bothering me that I paid $40 for early entry to a sale that 300 or so other people entered first. Such a scam. She stood by her claim that I was shopping g with the sellers. Dude you are a scammer that is complete crap. I've filed a claim with my credit card because this wasn't worth $20 let alone $40. Half the inventory was overpriced. Save your time and energy for the dozen other events that are way better run. Also she was super rude even sellers were complaining about her in line bossing and yelling at people. The sellers also said if they didn't pick up the items she would donate them after the sale (whatever didn't sell) but they've never seen her post the donations so a bunch of them were speculating about that. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I will never be back. P.S. that place is definitely a fire hazard at least tonight. I couldn't even walk down the aisles people everywhere. You could t have paid me to go at that time if I had only known. Those poor people who paid $20 for tickets tomorrow are going to be so disappointed. read more

I heard about this place through their social media, and I absolutely loved my experience here. Their selection from newborn to toddlers and even to mothers is amazing. Great way to save money and safer than going to garage sales. It gets busy depending on the time that you go but overall the staff keeps everything running smoothly. I appreciate the owner being present and involved, she does great managing her team to keep things in order. She explained everything great and easy to understand. For big items there are either claim tags or options to take items to the holding section where they will give you 2 hours to shop around with your items safely secured to the side until you check out. It is nice to see what your kids would like but it may be best to leave them at home to avoid any chaos or dangers from heavy foot traffic. Overall I will definitely come back to another event and thank you to all the hard working staff! read more

When I first started coming to Urban Kids, I had an amazing time. As a new mom, I was excited to score amazing deals. Its a little disappointing though because you're not allowed to bring large strollers in for the first day, so it feels like your missing out on even better deals that were offered. (its on the rules so i knew that, just saying she should give a day to new moms with strollers) Heather values her long time customers rather than new ones because she expressed how her customers complain that there are large strollers on the first day. She said she needs to accommodate them. Ive been on the opposite end where I was a seller. You are responsible for paying a sellers fee, purchasing a tag gun, buying card stock for your price tags, zip ties, safety pins, batteries, and heather also charges 5 bucks for 25 hangers. Given all the stuff you pay for to prepare for the sale, you lose money from what you sold. Heather is pretty strict with how she likes things hung up. You get an extra 5 % back for every shift you work so its a max of 3 shifts for 15% back on top of the 60% you get, so a total of 75%. Just something to keep in mind if you are going to be a seller. Heather has a very rude attitude. When I worked for her in December, she points to an area and gives you a small run down on what needs to be done. If you dont work fast enough she says "come on guys we need to move we don't have time!!' Other workers from different areas would come to our side and ask us for help. so we would send one person over there really quick to assist, she got mad and said we weren't allowed to leave our section. Eventually we just would dump previously organized bins out and reorganize them to make us look busy so we wouldn't get yelled at by heather. Even the other worker said to just don't ask any questions and keep to myself so we wouldn't get in heathers way. Today I decided to go to the sale and give her another chance even after having a bad experience in the past. I paid 15 bucks for a ticket and took the 30 minute drive. I purchased a pottery barn shelf. It was heavy so I asked heather if she had anyone to help me load it to the car. She told me to follow the worker to show him where the shelf was. I walked to the back with him & he explained to me that he could meet me in the loading docks to help load it in my car. So i walked back to the front of the store and i was approached by heather. She goes "Wheres your bookshelf?" I explained to her that he worker offered to meet me in the loading dock to help me load it in my car. With an attitude she goes "NO! You need to bring your bookshelf to the front so it can be inspected! No one is allowed at the loading docks or the alarm with go off!!" Why would you give me attitude, I'm just relaying to you what your worker told me. if there was an issue, talk to your worker about those things. Don't take it out on your customers. Heather, last sale you told us to share your event with our friends because your tickets weren't selling. Maybe you should reevaluate your attitude and the way to speak to people. I really wanted to continue coming despite all the negative experiences/interactions but I won't support someone who treats moms/new moms to be so poorly. I will not be returning and I would not recommend coming. Her customer service skills are horrible. read more

Buyer experience: My 4 year old picked out a toy truck. It was $25 for a used toy, but he was really excited so I said okay. We carefully inspected the toy, everything looked fine. As soon as we walked out the door, he wanted to play with it for a minute so we sat on a bench. When I took off the price tag, the back of the truck popped open and wouldn't shut. It was taped together with the price tag to hide that it was totally broken. My 4 year old was so upset, so we walked back in to explain what happened. I know it says 'final sale' but this was clearly rigged so that the defective condition was hidden, even after inspecting. The owner told me and my 4 year old that we should have inspected it more closely and that there was nothing she could do. I wouldn't even donate this toy. I get that this is not a high end retail experience, and my expectations are/were adjusted accordingly, but this just felt wrong. read more

I've been shopping this event for a few years and what you have to know is that it's a community event. It's put on by Heather, yes, but more than that it's put on by parents (moms mostly!). All the moms are working their tails off to clean, price, organize, hang, and otherwise prep a mountain of baby stuff so that other families can save money and have nice things. Drop offs are frantic events where one mom is borrowing tape from another mom and if it's not tape it's a pen, scissors, or a wet wipe. Somehow thousands of items fill a retail space in 2 days for a week long event and it's all because a bunch of moms are trying recover some costs of gear and clothes and want to shop smart for their families. Heather doesn't have to be your fav person. Her tone can sometimes be interpreted as short. You have to consider that she has repeated the same thing she's telling you like no less than 500 times in the last 48 hours. Please take a second to consider the general public and remember those are her consignors. Some of us have mom brains still from post partum and some of us were never that smart. Heather has to manage it all and it's like herding cats. Wouldn't that drive you bonkers? She's the queen bee over this insane event and most of her "employees" are moms she met 5 mins ago. It's absolutely magical this event goes as well as it does. Anything that doesn't go exactly as planned... perhaps attribute that to the fact that she's only one human person & all the workers are moms of varying levels of retail experience. If someone accidentally didn't enforce the bag rule 100% to a T, consider that person wasn't trying to ruin your day so much as do her best (as a volunteer and as a MOM) and she's learning as she works the door too. If the price on an item is too high, consider that it's hard for moms to get rid of their 1st baby's things and maybe she wasn't thinking clearly about what to sell it for. 1st time sellers learn a lot & sometimes you get to watch the lessons get learned. As a consignor, 60-75% is a fantastic percentage to get on your items and to have them sell in 4 days is even better. The move to the Westminster mall has been a fantastic change. The energy in the last few sales has been so fun. There is a culture to this event. Like any community thing, you choose your level of involvement and you bring the attitude you choose. Malls are dying, Black Friday is not what it used to be for in person shopping, but Urban Kids brings me back to that fun energy of bargain hunting and finding treasure. So if you are the kind of person who loves thrifting, this is the event for you. Just look over the website or the social media carefully because there's a lot to know. Shopped here for the 1st time today (free admission), and I personally feel like a lot of the items were way overpriced for the quality they were in. There were cat and Jack items that sell cheaper brand new at Target. So that part was a little confusing..... that the sellers overpriced their items so much. I've been to other consignment stores as well as random consignment pop-ups, and this one was not well priced at all. I think you can get better deals on OfferUp and on Facebook in my opinion. read more

I've shopped and sold at this event. This place is suppose to help moms buy and sell but that not true. The owner Heather is the rudest person you can ever come across and it's worst if you're a seller. Don't take my word, just scroll down and see other people comments. The owner has a group of volunteers that constantly work the event and if your not one of them your basically shit not kidding. She will openly belittle you and always refer to her contracts saying you don't like it leave. They claim you can set your prices but it's not true. Just recently during inspection they tell you to lower prices less than $10. When you try to dispute saying that's 90% off I'm not going to get anything back they say o'well if you want to sell change the price or you're free to leave. But they will not refund your registration fee. It's disappointing because they force you to use specific hangers and card stock paper which is expensive. The owner takes a 40% cut on everything you sell and not to mention she keeps the hangers and resells them to future sellers. The same people are always working this event which are the problem and they are close to the owner so there is no use complaining. Honestly the owner is a big bully and so is the staff. This the last time I ever sell or buy, not only was I mocked but so were other mothers in the 30mins I was present during check in. I had to help other mothers from breaking down and crying. Also "volunteer" shifts are less than 5 hours so they can avoid state law on breaks. They work you to death with no breaks just to get a little bit back on items you are selling. If you want to get a decent return back you will have to volunteer for +4 shifts that are around 4-5 hours. Don't do it it's not worth it, there are other consignment sites that truly help mothers and are more positive to sellers and buyers. Also the instagram site deletes and blocks moms trying to warn other mothers of how this business truly operates. Which is very misleading because it makes you think that this place is great when it's not. Be careful on the "positive" reviews they are mostly paid partnerships. read more

You do all the work (cleaning, inputting description and price, buying cardstock paper and a tagging gun so you can print and price tag each item, dropping off and picking it up) and they take a 40% cut. Be prepared to let things go because things can get stolen/go missing and there's nothing you can do about it. Bringing it up to the owner will get the cold reply: You signed a contract that agreed to it. I no longer bring anything worth real value and it feels like unloading crap since they push you to price things so low to sell. Keep in mind sellers know they are losing 40% off the price while they are determining the price of the item. That's why buyers will see some things priced higher than they think it should be. read more

I shopped here for the first time this week. Came on Thursday at 1pm, free admission. Walked out with 1 board game at $3, used condition but retails for $19.99 on Amazon. Came again on Sunday morning 8am, and found a couple books at 50% off. Spent $20 on Sunday with items that were 50% off or no discount, just depends on the seller. I think most people come and buy lots of things, but I was only looking for particular games, toys and books. Worked out. read more

I shopped the pre sale today with a paid ticket and it all started with a less than desirable experience. I arrived 20 minutes early and was waiting in line. My ticket was scanned and bag was handed to me. Right when they started letting people in, I was told my purse was too big and I couldn't bring it in. I told them they could inspect it when I was leaving and I was told no by the owner in a very rude tone. I had to take my purse all the way out to my car in a not so great area. This was absolutely ridiculous. They should've told me about my purse when they were "inspecting" and tagging everything and not when it was time for me to walk in. I have shopped this event many times with the same purse and nobody ever said anything to me. As I was shopping I took note of the people with purses larger than mine that were allowed in and they were not with kids and they were not diaper bags. There was also a "rule" that no full size strollers were allowed it but that rule was not being enforced either. I understand that rules are rules but if they are going to be enforced, they need to be enforced across the board so people aren't discriminated against. I have referred many people to shop at this pop up consignment sale and I usually shop every event and spend quite a bit of money but after this experience today, I will be taking my business elsewhere and spreading the word. read more

They don't have it posted anywhere but when you go to pay they charge you a dollar for using your card. Horrible experience.. I paid for the vip service since I have 3 kids so you pay to sale items.. then you pay $1 per item regardless if it sales or not. So when I drop things off, I had an expensive item oculus. So she originally told me she was keeping the packaging on the floor to sale and she will keep the item behind the register. I said okay. Then when the day came to pick up your unsold items. I looked everywhere for it. I spent over two hours just looking for that one item and couldn't find it when I asked her about it. She said she had seen it the day before so it's somewhere there. I need to look for it I continued to look and couldn't find it so when I asked her for help, she told me no if she were to help me look for it, then she would have to help everyone else and that does her no good. which I understand that but at the same time there's a way to say things and she was very rude about it with a nasty look. Also, originally she told me she wasn't gonna put the item on the floor so when I couldn't find it again. I asked her what I should do and she said you can either take the check or not you signed a contract so it's not my problem. It just really sucked. I paid for the VIP service so I paid over 75$ then I paid to register. I sold about $295 but you only get a percentage so I only walked out with $98. However I was missing an item that was over $300 and I wanted to sell for 200 so it wasn't even worth it for me. The whole experience was just horrible. It's supposed to be to sale things and help out moms, but they just rip off moms and make money off of them. I haven't met such a cruel person she was just so rude. Even when I was talking to her there were a few other people telling her they're missing a lot of things and she literally looked at them with the rudest face and I was like OK so what is your question? Obviously they're asking about all their stuff that's missing however, she didn't care if she told them the same either they sign a contract and get their check or they don't. Even the experience at drop off wasn't pleasant. She's a very cold person. I also went for the 50% off sale and it wasn't worth the drive. I am only maybe 15 minutes away but a lot of stuff is on hold so if you want to get it, you have to wait over two hours. The whole thing seems like a scam. They charge people to sale things then take a percentage then most of the things end up missing they also give you the option to donate. Then after they send out an email saying that they will be selling all the donated items because a lot of donation places don't want the items . So supposedly they give the cash to the donation places I wouldn't be surprised if they keep most of it. if I could give zero stars I would. Also, on her Instagram the stuff looks great but when you go there, I'm sure she uses a filter because things don't look clean like they do on the videos and a lot of stuff is damaged. read more

I bought several items - in different sizes and was very pleased with the prices (very reasonable). I bought a brand NEW Roxy skirt with the tags still on it for $6. Tell me what Wal-Mart has Roxy skirts The V.?????? I also got a brand NEW skirt from Justice, also $6 with the tags still on it. Me thinks The V. might be a little biased. I find it VERY interesting that the very same day I left a review for the less than stellar competitor of this fine company - a derogatory and NOT at all factual or fair review was left here. You can get some great deals IF you are willing to get there early/consign/volunteer. That being said, a lot of the items are way less than 50% off. Consigners set their own prices, many of which are close to retail. Clothes with the original tags still on the retail price $6.49 are priced at $5.00. Children's Converse which you can buy full retail for $25 priced at $20. Many of the clothing items were dirty, faded or excessively worn. Lots of the strollers were faded/worn and a few were not fully functional. And the owner can be less than tactful. I understand that this event can be stressful, but talking down to your customers is no way to get repeat business. The rules of the sale are strict and complicated, and if you break one she will personally let you know and not in a nice way. She speaks to people as if they are children she is disciplining and not grown adults. read more

I love the concept of this sale, we have been many times before... today was our last time. Heather, the owner, is a miserable human. She walks around scowling at most everyone unless you are one of her volunteers. If you need help, she either dismisses you, or she answers in a very rude and condescending way. Today was not our first experience with this. Sadly, she has acted this way at every sale we have patronized. We buy a large amounts of clothing for a local charity but will take our dollars elsewhere. read more

I. Love. Urban. Kids. It was an absolute godsend when my babies outgrew their gear. I didn't have to deal with Craigslist selling, haggling and no-shows, and consigning got me more cash than a garage sale would have. Every sale, the items I sold more than covered what I bought in the next size and phase up. Essentially, I got rid of stuff we didn't need cluttering up the house, got new stuff we did need - AND money on top. Some sales I didn't consign much, and at a minimum broke even. A free new wardrobe for my growing boys?? Sign me up! I definitely recommend going to the pre-sale day. It's worth every penny. They do restock and there is TONS of merchandise, so going on the following days is still worth it, but if you can, volunteer, consign or do whatever you can to get in early. Now that my boys are older, I have less to consign, but I still shop every sale. Between the sale and the half off day, I can get a complete wardrobe for my boys for around $40-50 each. You can't beat that. While it can be hard as a consignor to have items rejected at drop off, I really appreciate the standards Urban Kids sets for quality and condition. As a shopper, I know I won't be wading through a pile of junk and I can recommend the sale with enthusiasm and confidence. The lighting in my house isn't as bright as it is in the store, so I have no problem accepting that I might have missed a spot or smudge. We're all human. The ladies are really nice about letting me know. Often, if it's just a matter of needing to run something through the wash and bringing it back, they are happy to work with me. They also have a cleanup station set up outside to make giving something a wipe-down easy, which is very considerate. All in all, I recommend Urban Kids to everyone! I first started shopping at Urban Kids in early 2015 when my daughter was an infant. I remember getting some assistance with my ergo from the babywearing group that had set up in the back and finding some awesome prices for clothes for my daughter and I've never looked back. I held on to almost everything until I had baby #2, but I've been selling everything I can since then. I think I've done four sales now and volunteered for two of them. It was great working inspection because you can see how picky she is and how good the quality of the items must be to get on the floor. Being a consigner is great, because you can go on the opening night and get the best items. I don't usually go to the 50% off day (consigners get 50% on Saturday night, everyone else on Sunday) but I managed to find some great items this past event. Once, I got a double umbrella stroller for just $45 at the 50% off sale. I admit, it's a little empty by Saturday but on Wednesday the store is so full you can hardly move and find items. There's definitely a happy trade-off. I've tried smaller consignment shops and other pop-ups but they are either overpriced or low quality items. Heather strikes a happy medium between high quality items and not being crazy about clothing hangers or pricing. She lets the consigners set their own prices and maybe that means not everything sells, but that's on the consigners, not her. She also runs a facebook group for consigners, so if you decide to sign up, definitely join the group. You'll get a lot of help with how to prep and price your items. read more

This was our first time shopping here and it was great! My kids and I went in for dresses and I found something for everyone.. even for my husband (they had Star Wars chapter books!!). I been looking for items for my kids on posh and offer up, so when I saw the prices I thought they were fair and it was good to not think about shipping or having to drive somewhere to pick it up. However, I did splurge on a few super cute items! Overall, it was a fun experience and highly recommend for anyone who enjoys looking for bargains. read more

I shopped last sale and it was amazing. Everything was very organized and grouped together and nothing was dirty or over "loved". Can get very busy and crowded in store but totally worth it. It was my first time going to the event yesterday and I was one of the shoppers who got a paid pass in order to be able to go earlier. I read reviews that suggested buying a pass so that you get first dibs on the full inventory before the best stuff is gone. I went mainly to get some bigger outdoor toys for my toddler. Overall, they did have a lot of inventory and some items that were a good deal, but overall I felt like you can get a much better deal on same products off of Facebook marketplace. Yes, all items are obviously cheaper than retail price, but considering everything is used and doesnt look like new, it is simply still too expensive IMO. For some of the items I cross checked prices online and was thinking to myself i prefer to pay 10-20$ more and get a brand new item...Honestly, I think this is a great opportunity for new moms who need to buy everything, as it is arduous to have to hunt down flaky FB marketplace or CL sellers, and there at least you have all you need in one place and for definitely a lot cheaper than new price, but if you only search for specific items, probably not worth it especially seeing tax is added to the listed price and you might also pay up to 40$ for the shopping pass. I am a consigner at Urban, And Heather is awesome, very well organized and wants only the best for her customer's and consigner's, the selection is amazing, Yes as it is different people selling their goods, some are priced very low - as they want them gone, and others I agree are a bit pricey. But so so much to pick from. And lot's of new items too. I have never felt so disrespected and talked down too. As a business owner, I would never think of speaking to my clients in such a manor . There was 20 minutes before the store was closing and literally every 30 seconds the workers/mothers were yelling throughout the store we're closing down the registers we're closing down the registers!!! Not once was I asked if I could find anything or how was my shopping experience. I will never return just to say the least! read more
