My wife and 2 kids (8 and 1 years old) were inside the store and my son was trying some of their clothes while I was out of the store playing with my 3 years old daughter. After some time my 3 years old asked my wife to take her to the bathroom. So my wife left the store and when I entered the store for the first time I met a lady named Cindy who was still giving my son some clothes to try and then was stacking them at the register and telling me that my wife has chosen all that clothes and it was time to pay since she was closing the store. She mentioned that it's already late and she had to close the store 1 hour earlier. So I gave her my Citi Bank Debit Card in order not to make her stay longer and wait for my wife to comeback. Cindy didn't mention that the sales is final and there are no returns. Also, she saw that I was distracted by my 1 year old daughter who was crying after my wife and it's was extremely hard to manage to hold her and sign the receipt she gave me. She knew that I had no clew what my wife has chosen. When she gave me receipt for $577 and I was very surprised as I didn't expect such amount. I left the store to find my wife and ask why she chose clothes for such a big amount. And when we came back after 10 minutes the store was closed and Cindy was gone. My wife was shocked, she said she only wanted a pair of pants for my son. So in fact what happened is Cindy put in the bag whatever my son tried in the dressing room. My wife never approved clothes for that amount. We have decided that maybe Cindy made a mistake without knowing and came back the next day from Los Angeles to Laguna Beach to ask her to cancel the transaction. Her answer and attitude was as if she was well prepared for the conversation and she didn't seem to be surprised at all. When we explained her the situation, her only answer was: "You said to your son that he can have whatever he wants. Our corporate policy is 1-7 days store credit only". We told her that our son just recovered from cancer and $577 is never the budget to spend on clothes right now but Cindy was cold as stone and asked us to leave the store. Reading the reviews of The Vault in internet (there are The Vault Man, Woman and Kids in the same plaza) we understand that the techniques these vendors use are dishonest, fraudulent and they are aware of what they are doing. Cindy used the situation to her own benefit and basically used our son an 8 year old to sell all these items to without my wife's consent and approval. I have trusted her and payed her because we are honest hardworking people and I could never assume that a small mom and pap shop could be such a scam.

We made the purchase plus left her a car seat to be cleaned that my friend passed down to me (she only used for 1 child & kept it in great condition) as we were making the transaction, my son was looking through some puzzles that I agreed to buy for him, she was rude to him & asked him not to touch, even though we were planning on buying one (he is not a toddler, he is very well behaved) first red flag! I was induced that week (not planned) so my husband rushed over to pick up the car seat the day before we left the hospital. When he showed up, she handed him the car seat & told him that we were missing the straps! She blamed us/my friend. My husband could not leave without straps as we were planning on leaving the hospital the next morning. The woman, finally agreed to give us straps from another car seat, so we could use the car seat. When we got home, I reached out to my friend, to explain the situation, after I sent her a pic of the car seat, she stated that the handle was not the same as when she gave it to me (this one had scuff marks/used more). We reached out to Jolly tots to find out if they had switched the car seat? She was super rude & stated that this would never happen at her store, nor the straps being lost. After no resolutions, I came on here & read other reviews that stated they had lost the straps & other pieces of equipment that was left for cleaning! So clearly the woman lied. We believe they switched the car seat my friend gave me (hers was newer) and gave us an older car seat. Also coincidentally, they have a similar car seat posted that is in great condition, like the one my friend gave me. Also the value of the stroller we purchased was not worth $300 we paid, it had several deep scratches & looked very used, but because she was pushy & rushed my mom and I (did not allow us to browse or even think about our decision) I was unable to inspect it properly. We know this is our fault for not inspecting it before but she was so pushy & rushed us the entire time we were in there. This is a long review but wanted to let customers know NOT to trust this woman or this store. We regret giving this place any of our business.

I price my items sooo cheap because it's promoted that the goal of this event is to clean out space in the home, save money , while helping other families find what they need... right!? Wrong... As the events continue, I am seeing a pattern of people who are pricing items at MORE than half price of retail... I'm being honest when I say I am not going to spend $250 on a wagon when I can get a new one for the same price at target. First off, isn't that against the "rules". Secondly, why are people trying to COME UP from second hand items... ??? Trying to profit off new moms trying to buy things for their kids..? Make it make sense... you have new moms and grandparents shopping for second hand items that are banged up at almost retail price. It's very disappointing. The rules need to be enforced. On Saturdays, the 50% days, there's nothing left that's of decent quality. It's all ragged clothing and broken toys, that's not discounted. The volunteers are just moms and dads who want a higher return on their items so don't blame them if they can't answer your questions, they'll just tell you to read the sign and look on your contract, yeah no help at all. If your items come up missing, forget even asking about it. It's a loss basically, no compensation, no solutions , just sorry it's all donated or your loss! The volunteers make mistakes and either don't scan items at check out or someone walked out with it , because your items will go missing and that's money you lost. Someone needs to revisit the white board and train the volunteers more thoroughly so they don't make mistakes that end up costing us more. There are other reviews about THEFT & their items found in another persons cart.. I believe it. They also delete comments on their Facebook and Instagram when shoppers and sellers try to start a convo about what concerns them about the event. Yup, that's the solution to honest feedback, just block and delete instead of listening to the moms and families that keep your business going.
