I loved how the maternity wardrobe was included, since buying a maternity dress for a photo session was not something I wanted to add to my to do list during pregnancy. She brought multiple different dresses for me to try on at the beginning of our session, and I ended up choosing 3 for the session. The location in Laguna Beach was beautiful and we lucked out with a pretty sunset. She directed us on how to pose and makes you feel comfortable during the session. For our newborn session, Ashley lets you use her maternity wardrobe if you'd like. We chose the posed newborn session with a few family poses. She spent a few hours posing our newborn. Since it was December, Ashley also added a Christmas photo to our session! Ashley was early for both sessions, is easy to communicate with, and timely with her photo gallery delivery. When I got in touch with her, she was very friendly and answered emails in a very timely manner. I see all the great reviews and wishes my experience went as well as others seemed to have gone. I found an ad that for a maternity give away and signed up for it and was contacted back. I was super excited being I have never won anything before! Our first initial conversation was good, the vibe seemed to have been good. I had never done a professional photoshoot before and was nervous about being in front of the camera. She made it seem like she would make it a comfortable experience and seemed very genuine at the time. However the conversations that took place after paying the initial deposit were less than genuine. The demeanor we felt she had, had changed once it was locked in any time we were in contact. We had an inconvenience due to a car accident and getting stuck in Colorado while visiting family and appreciated that she worked with us with rescheduling. When it came to photoshoot day it seemed very rushed, she wasn't very personal, didn't have a warm personality and I surely didn't feel very comfortable with her behind the camera. For how much we spent on the photoshoot and only being able to keep 5 photos or having to pay an additional $200 for the full gallery was outrageous. Especially after receiving them back with edits that were in no way impressive.. (I could've done on my phone) and being told they were edited to full glam when numerous photos still showed blemishes and stretch marks. When I brought these things to her attention, the responses seemed to be filled with attitude. Being this is my first pregnancy I was so excited to get my maternity shoot done and have it be an experience to remember. Unfortunately, I did not think it would be memorable due to it being a not so good experience. I overall would not use her as a photographer again, I was not impressed with her demeanor or performance and would not recommend her to anyone based upon why personal experience. read more
