Karla, the owner and photographer, was incredibly professional, kind, and made me feel heard and comfortable throughout the entire session. She guided me with what to bring and how to best prep for the shoot, gave instructions for poses and offered a wide variety of beautiful backdrops and outfits to choose from taking into account my preferences, making the whole process collaborative, so easy and fun! She was super hands-on and went an extra mile with even fixing and touching up my hair to make sure every shot looked great! The studio itself is clean, well-lit, and comfy. The parking was easy and close to the studio. Karla's warm personality and attention to detail truly made the session special. The whole experience was just easy, fun, and effortless. Found KD Studio through TikTok and was able to snag a Sunday appointment that fit with my schedule. I took my maternity photoshoot at 30 weeks and it was the perfect size bump recommended by the studio's suggested maternity time frame. Love that they provided a gallery of sets/backdrops, wardrobe options, and hair & makeup recommendations. It made it so easy to book and pick out the perfect photoshoot scene I wanted. I didn't have to worry about booking hair & makeup, the studio's preferred stylists were beyond AMAZING. With the provided wardrobe and on-site hair & makeup, I felt so beautiful and ready for my photoshoot!! It's so easy to lose yourself when you become a Mom. It's the strangest feeling how one day everything changes. You love putting this little humans needs ahead of your own, you wear the same yoga pants from 100 years ago but make sure he looks fresh every day, you eat the crust from the star sandwiches, etc. And it's the best because you love them so much. Where do I even begin ! Karla was such a dream to work with . I last minute decided I wanted to do a maternity photo shoot so that I could have something to commemorate this special time in my life . It's rare to feel special and beautiful when you're body is changing so much . The booking process was super easy to go through her website. She reaches out quickly and provides you with different dates and times to come take pictures . She made an accommodation for me even though I had passed her cut off deadline and let me come later in the day . I am located in OC . Beautiful wardrobe that she lets you pic from that honestly helps so much. It is perfectly curated to the look you're trying to achieve . I did look into other photographers but none had this dreamy look to it and I would have to go and purchase my own wardrobe . When the day of the shoot came , I got there about an hour or so early . She told us to come upstairs and we can start immediately which was so perfect . She spent so much time on me , helping me pose and get comfortable . Not only with the pictures but making sure I had enough water and enough time to rest in between shoots! Studio is beautiful with perfect lighting . I had my maternity photo shoot done here with Karla! I will say being pregnant, it's hard to be feeling like your sexy badass self, but she sure did! She made me feel so sexy and helped me with wardrobe and choosing what I felt most comfortable with. She was really fun to work with and professional. I appreciated her honest feedback. I've never done anything like this, so was feeling awkward going into it, but Karla knew exactly how I should pose to get the most flattering angle, so I didn't need to think about any poses on the spot.
