I walked in and was greeted immediately with a warm and friendly welcome. The space is clean and nicely appointed. The large windows give it a light and airy feel. She inquired if she could help and I told her the details of what I was after. She didn't have the exact specific bottle of wine but offered a couple of close alternatives. She let me taste them and also gave me more information about each one. She was very helpful and I greatly appreciate how she handled the situation. I'm not much of a wine drinker myself but would definitely highly consider returning to enjoy a glass at some point.

It was Sunday evening and we rolled in about an hour before closing. There was a small group of locals hanging out. We ordered our tasting flights and were advised to grab some snacks from the table nearby. There were some fruits, veg, crackers, cheese and the most wonderful bread. The bread, we later found out, was made by one of the farmers who was hanging out for the evening with his wife. We complimented his bread making skills. The wines were delicious! I tried the 2023 Riesling, Petit Verdot Rosé, Desert Rose, Rio Abajo Red and the 2021 Norton. I am not normally a sweet wine person, but the Riesling and Desert Rose were delicious. We ended up purchasing a bottle of the Norton to take home and glasses were included with the tasting. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our conversation with the folks that were there.

The changes they are making at 1629 make it a must stop for dinner! A new menu provides some tasty options like the black truffle and wild mushroom risotto to go along with their signature pizzas. We had a reservation for 11:30am and arrived on time, but ended up waiting outside for about 10 minutes with no staff in sight. We called multiple times for assistance before anyone came out. To make matters worse, the friend who made the reservation was never informed that brunch is held in the private club and not the e restaurant, which caused unnecessary confusion right from the start. Once a waiter finally found us, we were taken to the private club where we were told they only had three brunch menu items available that day. We ordered immediately, along with waters and mimosas. Keep in mind, there were only two tables total--our group of three and another group of seven--so it wasn't busy. Despite that, service was extremely slow. It took 20 minutes just to get our mimosas, and our waters were forgotten and didn't come out until another 10 minutes later. Our food took about 40 minutes, which felt excessive given how few people were there. Even more frustrating, my friends' meals came out about 10 minutes before mine. There's really no reason meals at the same table shouldn't be served together. The food itself was just okay. The only standout was the French toast, which was actually really good--and honestly the only reason this review isn't one star. I also ordered coffee and was told they don't carry creamer, which is surprising for a place offering brunch. Our waitress rarely checked on us throughout the meal, which added to the overall lack of service. Between the confusion, long wait times, and lack of attention, this experience didn't meet expectations. I won't be returning.

We parked there since we have a 22lbs corgi who is very friendly and plays well with other dogs. We walked her to "tasting room." Another sign said to check with owner if you have dogs. My husband and I waited outside while my mother went in to check. the woman inside was rude and said you're basically taking your chances if you have your dog around hers! Why not just say no dogs allowed? One of their yard dogs, a very large golden retriever mix, was v very aggressive towards us as I walked back to the truck. It is not a safe place for people nor for dogs. My husband and my mom walked back to the car with the dog while I went in to check on the wines. I asked what kinds of wine they have and the response was "award winning ones." Nothing else, as a paper was shoved at me. I seriously doubt their local resiling and Beaujolais-style red have won any significant awards. I was not offered a tasting. I was only told that I could buy bottles if I wanted. The place was very very dirty and all the bottles were in cardboard boxes, nothing on display. So I did not try the wine. We left and will not return. I will also not try their wines if at any event where they are served. Not really sure how they stay in business. Go if you must, but be aware that you might not be safe and the owners are generally not friendly.

At that point, we were discreetly, but not so discreetly rushed off. And we were double-charged for one of the wine-tastings. Lady...how did we get the glass in the first place, if we didn't pay? The double-charge wasn't a big deal, people forget. But it was my daughter's 21st birthday, she wanted to go to a winery for her birthday and taste wine. I called before to make sure everything would be alright. But we left feeling the way we were treated and it killed the vibe. Thank a lot. From now on, ALWAYS look at reviews. I'll never buy their wine again, out of principle.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a really cool art-gallery vibe throughout the space. It's the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time sipping wine and browsing the local artwork. The wine selection was impressive--lots of unique New Mexico wines to choose from, and the tasting flights are a great way to try several different varieties. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, offering recommendations based on what we liked and explaining the wines without making it feel intimidating. We also tried a cheese board which paired perfectly with the wine and made the whole experience feel a little extra special. Whether you're a serious wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun stop while exploring Old Town, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great wine, great vibe, and great service. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.
