They still want you to mask up and stay 6' apart from one another. The bathroom had a sign up that read 6 occupancy at a time. Obviously, no one was reading it because it stayed populated. Toilet paper on the floor, unflushed stools and the sink counter was wet with drippings of soap. I passed the showers and laundry coming back out into the store again. There's a lot to look at. We found some cute rugs and gorgeous jewelry. We walked into the Dairy Queen, there's a plastic sheet protector between us and maybe that's why she couldn't hear us too well. I had a salad and asked for extra ranch and she said,"One ranch, okay" then moved to my husband he ordered a bacon cheeseburger she asked if he wanted bacon and cheese on it lol ( of course YES) he also got fries and a large chocolate shake. The cooks in the back handed him a hot fudge sundae. He handed it right back showing our receipt and they corrected it. When our food arrived we checked it while my husband was asking for extra ranch which would cost $1.07 ea. I told them we didn't need it they'd sent 2 big pouches of ranch which was plenty. We did need a spoon for the shake and she got one from the back that wasn't covered in plastic wrap. She had also put our money into the register with no gloves...where's the safety protocol? Ugh I've been to better DQ's.

Found the restrooms on the other side of the restaurants where there was no towels to dry your hands no soap to wash your hands and when I reported this to restaurant staff, they seemed unconcerned by it. Overheard staff commenting that the ice machines were down as well for the restaurants. I'm sure staff was trying their best in each restaurant and at the travel center, but it felt rundown and unkept like management and owners just were tryinget as much money as what they could with putting as little into the facility to keep it up.

Surprised, I found this woman holding a wonderful smelling cup of coffee explaining that the power was recently out and the pump card readers were not back up and running yet. She invited me into the store so we could activate the gas pumps from there. When Callie opened the door I noticed the glass was impossibly clean. The door handle was not gross and sticky. As I stepped in, the store floors were blinding white. Disbelieving, I looked around and saw everything was faced, organized. I touched the counter at the register which I NEVER DO. It too was clean. This is the most impressive gas station I've ever seen. I am so impressed by this and the great customer service I had all at 6am on a Saturday morning, you guys need to know about this. Don't believe me? Go see for yourselves. Not only will you not find trash blowing around the parking lot, you will have a smiling face greet you when you go in the store. AMAZING experience. Just when you thought people with a strong work ethic were extinct.

The previous choices were far away, horrendous, all run down, broken pumps, dirty or inop restrooms and filled with vagrants. This NEW Marverik has plenty of pumps and a great convenience store plus easy to refuel the rental car before dropping it back to the airport rental car center. Take Exit 222A Gibson Blvd E which is just before the airport heading south on I-25.
