However, after my son had brought the actual jacket to them, they did determine that they would be able to complete the job. After spring break, my son went back to pick up his jacket and was amazed at how comfortable now the inside linings were and without any noticeable alterations, keeping that vintage look and an extremely reasonable price. There were three employees on the showroom floor, only one was with a customer, the other two just watched me walk around looking aimlessly for a suit. Very disappointing experience with Men's Wearhouse. We had my husband's jacket altered for a…read morewedding, and when we picked it up, the sleeves were noticeably too short and the jacket did not fit him properly. I'm not sure how the measurements were taken, but the alterations were clearly not done correctly. The frustrating part is that we picked the jacket up right before the wedding, so there was no time to bring it back and have it corrected. I called the store immediately after we got home and explained the situation, including that the wedding was the very next day. I was told that it would be fine to bring it back on Monday. When we went in on Monday to return it, we were told they could not refund us because the jacket had been altered and they could no longer resell it. We were given store credit instead. I understand that an altered item may not normally be returnable, but in this situation, the reason the jacket could not be used was because the alterations were done incorrectly in the first place. We shouldn't be stuck with store credit because of an alteration mistake made by the store. At this point, we'll use the store credit, but we will be taking it to a different Men's Wearhouse location where hopefully the alterations are done correctly. Definitely a frustrating experience, especially when we were preparing for a wedding and were relying on the store to get the measurements and alterations right.
