Located at the Richland Mall and just passing thru this department store to go to the mall. Love their designer merchandise and would definitely shop here. The store merchandise set up is very inviting. So colorfully played out throughout the whole floor. Window shopping is always fun and someday I'll come back to really go shopping !!! read more

I tried to exchange a garment that still had the tags on it and hadn't even been taken off the hanger. But because I was a few day over the thirty day period they wouldn't even do an even exchange. Not a pleasant experience. read more

Tuesday night 8 pm spent my last penny at Dillards. Bought a necklace. Put it on the next morning and it was too heavy. I work full time so it's Saturday morning I went to return it and they wouldn't take it back because they have a 3 day return policy. So they have lost a customer over a $20 necklace. This store is overly expensive and that includes the clearance items. The items that they sell in the clearance areas are still highly over priced, and they are as cheaply made as stuff at a Kmart. They a few times annually have shoes on sale that are sometimes reasonably priced and are usually great name brands. They always have purses on sale but they as well as everything else still tend to be expensive. If they don't carry something of a certain brand in season and are asked to have it ordered in for you by you they'll try to charge you for shipping. Go to their website and order off of that and shipping will likely be free, instead if paying in store for it. read more

The updated store in their new location (old Sears store anchoring the end of Richland Mall) is really nice and looks as nice (though not nearly as big) as the Dillards stores in large cities. But compared to the old, tired location, it's fresher, much brighter, and up-to-date. Better "energy" throughout. They've expanded: more brands, as well as larger selections of their staple brands-- so it takes longer to shop as there's a better selection. I haven't seen any of the high-end brands carried by the Dallas stores, but then, this IS still Waco. The new dressing rooms are so nice and roomy with good lighting and a comfortable chair. The shoe department seems more spacious than the old location; I'm not sure they carry more lines but it's a large area with ample seating to try on without being on top of other customers. And they don't bother you--I've never NEVER been asked if I need help, but have had to interrupt a chat between group clerks so I could try on. They were nice about it. (shoes didn't fit so I just left them on the counter by the register versus interrupt again.) The clothing department is set up so you kinda meander about; it's taken me a few trips to get the layout so I sort of know where "my brands" are if I'm in a rush to just pick something up. The ladies are always helpful and if you can't find your size, they can look it up on their screen to see if they have it in store, another store, or online. The sales are still great. Sometimes I've hit a sale I hadn't gotten notice of, so that was fun! And expensive. I'm really liking this new Ladies Dillards. My only real negative: the music at the MAC cosmetics area is way too loud---unnecessary--- but that was at the old location as well. My only question: what happened to the second story (Sears was two stories) and where's the escalator? "Asking for a friend." read more

Not an awful Dillard's, but generally pretty limited selection. There's a very tiny shoe department that seems to never change out styles. The housewares section is respectable and I usually get cologne here. One of the redeeming qualities is the Baylor section, great place to grab a quick T-Shirt when I can't make it to the Baylor Bookstore. read more

Worst place to shop or work the store manager only cares about her money not about the people she will cause you to get hurt just to save her money that she gets as bonus and and of the year! As a customer their services are so bad she treats you like an animal or slave! Don't ever go to that one! read more

I never get helped when I go in here. Not voluntarily at least. I always have to hunt someone down and practically beg for help. I guess because I don't dress in rich looking clothing that they think I'm not worthy of being helped. And then when I do get someone to help me, they act like I'm a bother to them. read more

The store has great merchandise, and when it has the 40% off sale it becomes a real bargain. The problem is searching for the sale merchandise in every department. The juniors/misses/womens clothes are divided by brand and spread throughout the store so you spend hours hunting for the merchandise you want. The store also has a poor return policy. It's okay to return it if it doesn't fit as long as you have tags and a receipt. But if there's a merchandise defect, they simply won't return it. Some of the brands are made outside the US, using dyes that run onto other clothes in the wash. Don't count on returning these items. They simply won't accept it! read more

This location is like most Dillard's except it's divided up at the Richland Mall into two stores: women and children's and the men's section. Dillard's is pricey but you can usually find a good deal here if you look thoroughly. read more

I just recently moved to the area and thought the store had great bargains. All of the men's clearance merchandise was 65% off plus an additional 40%. The sales associates did inform me that merchandise marked this low has a 3 day return policy. I can understand this as I am sure they are loosing money selling merchanside so cheap. The store was very clean and organized and seems to be the highest end department store I have found in Waco. I will definitely be back. read more
