Horrible experience, stay away!…read more This is a review for Eliza at BEL Events for her wedding planning services. We met Eliza at our venue 8 month before our wedding date. During the first session she presented herself well, and she talked and bragged a lot about her 18 yrs of experience in event planning and stories about how she handles wedding situations. So, we thought she is the right event planner for us and signed a contract. After signing the contract and making the payment, she was very hard to find and we did not see the expected action from her side, and every time we followed up, her response was: "don't worry I will manage everything before the wedding day". We were asking for the basics of planning such as timeline, vendor recommendations (a few to choose from) and communications (which was part of the contract) but not no action except a quote of her own rental service. We were getting closer to the wedding date and her lack of action made us so worried and very frustrated. Eventually we had to get involved and did almost 90% of the work ourselves. She was very hard to find but even when we could talk to her, she would create more unnecessary problems to an extant that my wife had panic attacks after a few meetings we had with her. 2 month before our wedding she caused so much anxiety and frustration that we decided to end our contract with her and find another planner. Thankfully, our new planner was amazing and our Wedding planning went very smooth after that, and the event was as wonderful as we could imagine! With way lower cost than what Eliza had proposed! After I requested to cancel the contract she disappeared and never responded to our emails, which is very unprofessional. Here is a list of a few issues from our experience of working with here: 1- Accessibility: every time we had a question or needed to talk to her, it was taking several days until she gets back to us. With irrelevant excuses, like she would show me her busy google calendar! 2- Push to use her own services as vendors: Per her contract she had to suggest different vendors so we can choose. But since she has rental and flower services, she was arguing so much to stop us from even looking at other options! She charges unnecessarily expensive! By doing a little research, we found our vendors and saved at least 50% with same or better quality! 3- Nonsense arguments and rude attitude: In many occasions she was just insisting on holding the event the way SHE wants, without paying attention to our request or desire. Every time we requested something, her answer was: "I don't want MY event to be that way or I don't want MY guests to be that way"!!! With a condescending attitude emphasizing that "I have 18 yrs of experience and I know what to do"!!! Any simple request would become a long story and unnecessary argument. In one occasion my wife requested that guests throw flower petals while walking out of aisle, and she immediately said: "No!, you can't do that, I don't want my cleaning crew spend time on cleaning the petals"!!!! In another occasion Eliza was insisting on only using her recommended valet service (which was quoting more than double the price of the service we eventually used) and on top of it she was forcing us to rent extra parking lot out of venue and pay extra for shuttle service!!!! While the venue had enough capacity! And when I respectfully said: I am confident that the venue has enough capacity for parking, she got very angry and said: "in that case tell all your guests to use UBER and they can't drive their own car"!!! It was a nightmare working with BEL Events and I don't recommend her service due to lack of professionalism and decency in her business.

They are a preferred vendor of our venue (Grand Tradition Estate & Gardens) and the only vendor that the venue allows to hang things from the ceiling. We met with Brandi in the showroom to look at different centerpiece options, candle votives, flower options, and fabric colors. She was attentive and listened to everything - even picking up on things we didn't say but ended up being important. Brandi picked up the tone in the room very quickly when she asked about boutonnieres for the fathers and we said "just father of the groom". She suggested making a memorial boutonniere for my dad (father of the bride) and I loved that idea so much. She made every effort to tie the details together meaningfully and never pushed more expensive options. They had already started setting up when we arrived at the venue on wedding day and I was AMAZED. It was even more beautiful and magical than I had imagined! The centerpieces were fresh flowers and were gorgeous. The stairway and other flower accents were silk and they were a PERFECT match with the fresh flowers. So many people commented on the fairytale feel and how pretty the flowers were. We decided to have our flower girl's flower crown be made of silk flowers instead of fresh so she could keep it. It was beautifully crafted and made my flower girl feel like a princess! I drug my feet on getting my bouquet dried and pressed after the wedding and didn't get to it until about 4 days after. The person I went to said that usually flowers are a total loss at that point, but that she could tell I had an incredible florist because my flowers were still almost perfect! Using Finishing Touch is one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! They made my fairytale dreams come true and I felt like a princess!

My daughter paid for 50 chairs and had a specific date and time scheduled to pick them up. When she arrived, the business was closed. After I contacted them, we were told to come back because someone would be there. She drove 25 minutes back, and once again, the business was closed. She called several times but no one answered. I understand that BeDazzle's policy is that payments are non-refundable. However, because the business was closed during our scheduled pickup, the owner agreed to make an exception and refund the money. Unfortunately, we never received the refund. I'm simply sharing our experience so others can be aware and use caution when paying in advance.

I remember her mentioning that being included catering, cake plus cutting, open bar, DJ, ceremony, and reception tables. The reception was set up on a grass area with plenty of chairs . The sound system worked well, and we were able to hear them say their vows as well which I really enjoyed. As for the reception space I saw it was mentioned that people didn't like how the layout was split up and I can't help but agree with that sentiment. Half of the party was on one side of the clubhouse building and the other half was on the other side. Space that looked like it would become the dance floor ended up just becoming dead space that was not used except for a first dance. Food from Catering was fairly decent and I was starving at the time so it probably tasted even better. There was notably enough food for people to go back and get seconds so no complaints there. Now, for the things that stood out to me as being less than ideal for the space is provided for the bridal party to get ready, felt very much like a closet shoved behind a locker room with horrible lighting. We took pictures in this space which felt a little bit tacky but not much you can do or work with. The photographer seemed nice, but probably not my first choice. I think this was provided by the venue. Another thing that stood out was the DJ. I'm not sure if he was in a rush to get through a playlist or what but honestly, it felt completely haphazard and next to no one ended up dancing because it's hard to get into a groove with only 15 seconds per song. I think that having the dining tables disconnected from the dance floor, broke up the party, and most people ended up standing awkwardly in the clubhouse area near the bar, talking rather than dancing since staff was already starting to clean up tables outside and made it seem like we were being rushed out the door. Overall, the wedding was lovely and I'm sure my best friend enjoyed herself. You get what you pay for and she got everything that she was looking for considering she was originally going to elope, but the parents wanted her to stay and have a full wedding. Would I come back or plan my own wedding here probably not ? Would I recommend it to someone? Maybe if they were looking for an all-encompassing but minimal frills experience. Not meant for dance for couples probably a better space for a quiet affair.
