Jeff was absolutely incredible! Coming from a bride who hadn't attending a wedding in my adult life - I didn't know what to expect at all, and that made the ceremony very nerve wracking to think about. Jeff made sure I felt in control and confident through every step. Jeff was personable, friendly and very professional. I would recommend him to any of my friends in the area without a second thought. Thank you so much! read more

My husband and I got married in Escondido at Ethereal Gardens, August 2025. We searched high and low for the perfect pastor/officiant that we knew would not only do a good job but someone who could match our values and priorities for our ceremony. Jeff was the most incredible officiant we could have ever asked for. He led our ceremony with such warmth, sincerity, and ease that it felt both deeply meaningful and effortless. I really appreciated how thorough he was in walking us through how the ceremony would go, and made sure we felt confident going into the big day. He captured exactly what we wanted our wedding to feel like and set the perfect tone for the rest of the day. Everything was so beautifully said and done by Jeff. So many of our guests came up to us afterward asking where we found him, which speaks volumes about the impact he made. He even socialized with some of the groomsmen and guests which I thought was cool because he got to connect with our people and created a presence that was more personal and sincere. Looking back, I truly couldn't imagine anyone else standing up there with us. Jeff made our day unforgettable, and we are forever grateful for him. If you are reading this in search for someone to officiate your wedding, stop here and reach out to Jeff. I PROMISE you won't regret it!!!!! He's the bomb! read more

Rebecca Saville was the officiating minister for our wedding on November 1, 2025. My wife and I met with her in her home on a Sunday about 1.5 months before our wedding. She was very welcoming, personable and curious on what made us tick, better helping her officiate our wedding day. Information gathered on that 1st meeting was incorporated into her service, which gave it a very personal touch - not just some template ceremony. Rebecca listened to all our requests and made our day very memorable. From the practice rounds in her living room to right before the "I do's", Rebecca left no detail untouched. Her demeanor, voice and tone was very relaxing when nerves and jitters could have potentially caused lots of anxiety. Rebecca and SoCal Christian Weddings gets FIVE stars all day long! read more

Jeff is amazing, very professional and very detail oriented. Highly recommend for any bride. 10/10

Just met up again with Jeff for another wedding, and even after all this time, he doesn't miss; in fact, he gets better every time. I'm glad to have served another couple with him. To anyone that grabs him for their special ceremonies, you won't be disappointed. read more

We found Jeff a year before the wedding. We liked him because he was very well organized and he knew what he was doing. We felt like we were in good hands. He offered many personalized ceremony options to choose from and let us select how he would be dressed. Through his experience and caring nature, he assisted us to make the ceremony very personal to who we are to each other. We met him, multiple times by video call; then a month prior to the wedding in person to rehearse. He provided us many tips and suggestions for photos and how to make our ceremony beautiful. We were very happy the day of the ceremony about his professionalism, and his thoroughness. Thank you Jeff, for making our day memorable and beautiful! read more

Jeff was fantastic. His years of experience were really helpful for our ceremony because he gave us great advice on how to pose so that every element of our ceremony was beautiful and great for the photos. Many of our guests had commented that they really enjoyed his sermon; they also said Jeff knew how to read the crowd well to keep everyone engaged and entertained. He was an instrumental part of making our ceremony beautiful and memorable. Thank you, Jeff, for taking your time to know us and understand our story. read more

My wife and I recently got married and Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville helped make our day extremely memorable, beautiful, and a true fairytale wedding. Throughout the entire process leading up to the wedding Jeff was extremely detail oriented taking any guesswork away on our end. He explained each part of the ceremony to a point and created a personalized verbatim script of the entire ceremony for us which we shared with everyone in the wedding party. Interacting with Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville during the months leading up to "the big day" was extremely easy and helpful. All forms of communications were available to us including video calls, phone calls, texts, emails, and in-person meeting rehearsals separate from the main rehearsal the day before the wedding. The in-person meeting at Jeff's lovely home really put my wife and I at ease because we went over everything we would do at the ceremony. This even included the little details of what angle to place our hands for better pictures from our photographers. This in-person meeting also served as a great way for Jeff to get to know us on an individual level which allowed his words at the ceremony to be more impactful for everyone in the audience. The day of the ceremony was a breeze for my wife, bestman, maid of honor, and myself, because before the actual ceremony Jeff reminded all of us of the little things we needed to do to have a truly wonderful wedding. So many friends and family kept asking us if we were nervous during the ceremony, and we kept saying "No", and this was partly because Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville had prepared us extremely well. Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville made our special day truly about us, and every step of the way everything was fully customizable. This included our vows, scriptures, exchange of rings, our wine blending ceremony (Jeff provides many different ideas for a ceremony within the ceremony) and all the way down to we got to pick what Jeff wore on our wedding day. After the ceremony was done and we were celebrating with our guests, many people mentioned how wonderful Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville's words were during the ceremony. They said not only were the words tailored to us but it also made them reflect on their own marriage as well. If you decide on Rev. Dr. Jeff Saville for your officiant, you will have a professional whose attention to detail is top notch. Jeff helped make our wedding PERFECT, as he will for you as well. From start to finish Reverend Dr. Jeff Saville was there to coach and support us with planning our small ceremony. He is worth every penny spent! Rev. Jeff was flexible with changes, gave us plenty of options for Bible passages to be read, unity ceremony options, what he could wear for his ceremony outfit, reviewed our vows to make sure they would flow before printing them for us, was punctual, professional and funny! He also coached us virtually on the ceremony movements about a week prior, and also did them with us again in person on the day of the wedding as a refresher. Because of his attention to detail, everything went so smoothly! Jeff is sensitive to the fact that for most couples this is their first time doing any of this, and that they're learning along the way. He's great at explaining each step as it comes without making you feel like you should already know what to do. He's a very busy guy between officiating weddings and being a pastor at his church, but he treats each one of his to-be-wed couples with care and revels in the individuality of each wedding and their stories. At our wedding reception dinner, my new husband, mom, brother and Dad all commented on what a great job Jeff did leading our ceremony. He took into consideration everything we requested to make it personal and faith-filled which was important to us. Thank you Jeff! read more

We got married October 9, 2021 with Jeff as our officiant and it was absolutely perfect! When we read that Jeff was a retired Navy Chaplain and both my husband and I always had wonderful interactions with them so we had to reach out. His dedication to his couples is second to none, he took such care in constructing a beautiful and personalized ceremony for us. He provided ample time in his session with us to truly share the blessings of God in marriage but also was REAL about the ups and downs of life and relationships. We loved laughing and sharing stories with Jeff, it's like we've known him forever! He was prompt and coordinated great with our venue and fellow vendors. If you want a ceremony that will be forever in your heart, a life long supporter in your marriage you have found your officiant! One of the best things, was the envelop of goodies Jeff gave us to take home after the wedding... the letter and advice enclosed will be used for years to come! Reverend Dr. Jeff was AMAZING! He was the perfect officiant for our wedding day, and cannot recommend him enough. Jeff saved the day! Our wedding date was set for April 29th, 2022 and, initially, a family member was our officiant. However, 3 months before our date, she informed us that she was no longer able to do it....we were so stressed out about finding an officiant that quickly. And then my husband found Jeff. We loved that he is a veteran, has a doctorate in theology, is married with children, and a good looking man (great for being in our wedding pictures). Jeff is personable, professional, attentive, detailed, and organized. He first set up a zoom meeting with us so we could make sure we were a good fit and go over what we envisioned for our ceremony. Then, he emailed us a word document that outlined the details of the ceremony (word-for-word) and different options to choose from. He also helped us develop our Personal Promises to one another. Lastly, he invited us to his home about a month before the wedding to practice our ceremony. He gave us tips on how to stand and hold our hands so our photographer could get the best photos. The day of our wedding, the ceremony went flawlessly. Jeff is a great speaker. Guests asked us if we knew him personally because of how he spoke about us. After the ceremony, Jeff emailed us a receipt for our mailed marriage certificate and detailed the steps we needed to take to obtain our marriage license and change my name. We couldn't be happier with our choice to have Jeff officiate our wedding. Thank you Jeff! read more

Let me begin by saying Jeff is the absolute best officiant out there and our wedding would have not happened if it was not for him saving us the night before at 1130 PM. See below for our crazy 2020 wedding story. Josh and I met Jeff last winter in preparation for our May 2020 wedding. He was great to work with and super organized for our in person meeting. He made us feel at ease about getting married and including our Christian faith at the center of our wedding ceremony. 2020 happened and we ended up pushing our wedding back until October. We had to cancel our "big" wedding again due to everything. We ended up booking him for our future "big" wedding in 2021 and we booked a small package for a micro wedding in Lake Arrowhead (which came with a different officiant). Three days before the wedding we got a potential exposure scare to COVID. I told my vendors and they canceled the event due to the delay in the test results (including the officiant). Jeff also randomly reached out to us three days before our wedding date. He was checking in on us and told us he was available on our original date if needed. Once we found out the negative results it was 1030 PM the day before the wedding and we had no officiant. We sent Jeff an email and he immediately called us and we planned our entire wedding ceremony that night. The next day we planned our last minute wedding in Lake Arrowhead and it was a little chaotic since we didn't have any of our vendors. Jeff brought his experience and quickly gave directions to everyone about the ceremony and even came prepared with a speaker system so the "zoomland" people could hear everything. He also knows how to be a photographer, which is helpful when you don't have one. All our our family and friends were so impressed. He made our day perfect and we will forever be grateful for his professionalism and for this memorable 2020 wedding! read more

We had Jeff conduct pre marital counseling, the rehearsal, and the big day. Step 1: Pre Marital Counseling Jeff made us fell very comfortable during the marital counseling sessions. To have a little fun while covering some serious subjects is a hard balance that not everyone understands. He worked around our busy schedules and we did FaceTime for all of our sessions. Some of the learnings about each other were very helpful so we can understand one another's position. We found out we're highly compatible and good for each other. Well, with that information we're good to move onto Step 2. Step 2: The Rehearsal Jeff is very organized when it comes to getting people prepared for the big day. He has some "go to" things that are his signatures regarding little nuances during the ceremony that work well. We got it figured out but he was willing to do as many practices as we wanted. Step 3: The Big Day He had some humor in there that helped our guests really enjoy themselves during our big event. His "go to" nuances seemed to gather interest from our guests as well. We were very happy with how it all turned out. Thanks again Jeff. - One Pleased Groom read more

Dr. Rev. Jeff went above and beyond guiding us through our wedding ceremony and preparing us for our life long commitment. His military background really shines as he is on top of every small detail. This really removes all the stresses of the wedding ceremony as he's got it all under control. On top of that we really enjoyed our talks leading up to the wedding. He is super accommodating and most of all comfortable to talk to as we spent hours talking about our relationship with god and to each other. We are forever grateful! Thanks again Jeff! read more

I was in need of an officiant for my baby girl's memorial service last minute. I contacted Rev Jeff and he replied right away. We spoke over the phone and instantly I knew he was a great fit for the service. But unfortunately he was unavailable for the day the memorial was planned, so he did something so wonderful for me. He reached out to another pastor for me! He remembered all the details we spoke about over the phone and introduced us via email. Losing a loved one is never easy but I feel like we hit the jackpot on finding an actual retired military Chaplain, Jeff Saville, for my father-in-laws service at the Riverside National Cemetery. From the initial phone call, my worries were eased. We talked about special memories and the life of my father-in-law which he incorporated into the service beautifully. It was extra calming to know how familiar he was with the procedures and protocols at the site. The day of the service, he was there early and super helpful. Jeff Saville was our officiant at our one and only wedding this previous weekend (2/11) and I am so happy we had him lead our ceremony. After the wedding, many of our guests said that they loved the ceremony & his sermon. He is organized and helped us to feel more confident. He had options for us to choose from for the ceremony, which we discussed months prior to the wedding, and I liked his suggestions & some unique additions. He also was very personable with a good sense of humor. My husband said, "with him in charge, I felt like I had nothing to worry about." We had him attend our rehearsal, which I'm so happy we did. We felt very ready for the day after that. He was wonderful! read more

We hired Jeff for our Wedding Ceremony aboard MCRD San Diego on Jan 12 and he was absolutely the best! Being a retired Navy Chaplain he had no problem getting on base and he was extremely organized. Professional, thorough, took command! We hired Jeff Saville to perform our wedding ceremony 7/23/17. Prior to our wedding day, he had invited us over to his home. First he sat down with us and got to know us and we also got to know his background. He already had a draft ceremony written up prior to our visit so we discussed the details and then we went through a mock ceremony. He guided us through every detail. We selected a combination of standard and self-written vows. He had gave us some documents to help in the writing of our vows. After we each emailed our vows to him, he proof-read and made a few suggestions. The day of our wedding the venue coordinator did not show up due to illness and since we came from out-of-state most of our wedding party was not able to be at the rehearsal 2 days prior. But Jeff came to the rescue and took charge. He lined everyone up (military style, LOL) and gave them detailed direction on the ceremony. During our ceremony, he was very professional and added a little humor. He read some beautiful passages from the Bible. He also guided us through our vows and provided our self-written vows on parchment paper for us to read and have as a keepsake. After the ceremony, he was very detailed on getting the marriage certificate signed correctly and immediately so that he could mail it in to be filed. Our wedding ceremony went beautifully. We highly recommend Jeff Saville for your wedding! website https://www.socalchristianweddings.com/ Thank you Jeff! P.S. I'm glad we did have to wear the shorts after all. LOL read more

Jeff was great! He responded within an hour on yelp, which was amazing given our tight and seemingly ever changing schedule. We had a big venue planned this July but with the pandemic and family health issues were unable to make that happen. In a very impromptu way, we decided to sell our privately owned homes and buy a house together for us and our 6 total children, and to add to that stress, ultimately decided to get married in our backyard with those 6 kids and our parents as the only guests. Jeff was super flexible and professional even with all the social distancing going on, allowing us to adjust the day and time more than once to fit our schedule. He was even kind enough to be our officiant and photographer all in one! Can't thank him enough for making our small intimate ceremony something memorable! read more

We got married November of 2017, had our daughter afew months later, life got chaotic and i never got around to actually writing a review. I feel bad because Jeff really helped and deserves the acknowledgment for his expertise and professionalism. So without wasting anymore time, here it is. Not having any wedding experience or anyone to help us out, my wife and I began searching for our officiant. It wasn't as easy as we thought it was gonna be, but after a few weeks of searching, making phone calls and meeting with different pastors, we choose Jeff. And it turned out to be the best choice we could have made. Jeff walked us through the whole ceremony and helped put our minds at ease. My only regret is that we didn't find him sooner. Everybody always talks about how hard weddings are to plan, but had we worked with Jeff months before, things wouldn't have been so stressful. We planned everything out, booked everybody we needed and then we found our officiant. We should have found our officiant first. Jeff worked with our wedding planner, D.J., and the venue to ensure that we had a wonderful and memorable ceremony. Not to mention the day of the wedding he met with my wife and I one last time before we started to make sure everything went flawless. We couldn't have asked for more. Jeff's a wonderful and professional person who I would highly recommend for any wedding. Thanks again for everything. read more

There isn't a single bad thing that we can say about Jeff. To say that we got lucky finding him is an understatement! He made the whole process look so easy that my husband and I felt relaxed the whole time. Here are the highlights of working with Jeff: 1. Jeff was always available over skype, phone and e-mail. We skyped him before we even met him and also spoke over the phone a few times (which was awesome since we lived far away from him) 2. Jeff overall is just a very personable man. He invites you to his home, gets to know you as individuals and a couple and gives you great advice on marriage! 3. He was available to meet at his house to run through the ceremony at NO additional cost! It was so great to get the chance to spend time with him at his home and to get to know him before our big day. After leaving his house we felt 150% comfortable with the ceremony and didn't have to have a rehearsal with him again. 4. Jeff personalized the ceremony to our needs. He was open to all and any suggestions and the most wonderful part was that he learned German!!! And when I say learned I mean he studied it until he sounded natural! He went that extra mile and put so much effort into it, since I am from Germany and my family was coming in for the wedding without understanding any english. I can not emphasize enough HOW SPECIAL the ceremony was, having Jeff say parts of it in German to include my family and make them feel like they were part of the ceremony!! It was truly a blessing to have him and we are SO thankful that he took the time to learn a new language and go that extra mile for us!! I am not sure any other officiant/reverend would have put that much extra time into this process. 5. Jeff included enough information in the ceremony but kept it short enough to keep our guests interested and engaged (his sense of humor made the ceremony a breeze and SO much fun). We had multiple guests come up to us after the ceremony, emphasizing how much they enjoyed it. Many of them even said that it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever attended! Jeff includes Christian values into the ceremony which was very important to us but he does it in a way where "non-christians" still feel engaged, which was amazing as not all of our guests shared the same faith as us. I can not emphasize enough how professional, pleasant, fun and enjoyable Jeff is. Not only is he extremely affordable, he is truly a wonderful person to work with. I would have never picked anyone else and am so thankful that we found Jeff! read more

Jeff did my daughters wedding a few weeks ago and we couldn't of asked for anything more awesome. From the start it was easy and he had lots of great ideas and was super helpful. Then he met with my daughter, her fiancé, my husband and I and went over everything we could possibly need to know to make the wedding a huge success. Afterwards we had people coming up to us saying how special, not just your ordinary vows but what a wonderful ceremony. Someone even asked where he was a pastor because they would like to hear one of his sermons. He took a couple of pictures with the bride and groom and even stayed and chatted with the guests. I would highly recommend Jeff Saville (and him being military was just icing on the cake for my son in law who had served in the Marine Corp). Overall a wonderful experience. read more

Jeff is the best!!! Jeff performed our traditional ceremony on June 23rd, 2018 at the Mission Inn. It was a blessing that we found Jeff because originally we were booked with another minister and he bailed on us just months before the wedding- I was a freaking out! But then I happened to come across Jeff's website and he fit the bill for exactly what I was looking for. We wanted a man of faith who had been or was currently a pastor or minister that we felt at ease with. When he invited us to his home for the afternoon to get to know us, we really felt that he wanted to take the time to know who we were as a couple and make sure that it was a good fit. We had a wonderful time getting to know him and by the end of the day he certainly did not feel like a stranger. He made all the changes we wanted to the ceremony, with no issues at all and would continually check up with me in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure that the ceremony script was just right. He even called me a day before the wedding to calm my nerves and give me a pep talk. The ceremony itself was beautiful. The message he gives applies to everyone, not just the married couple and he spreads God's love without a judgmental feeling (keep in mind we requested and wanted a traditional/religious ceremony). We received many compliments from our guests on the ceremony and Jeff's kind words. So, in the end it was a blessing in disguise that our original officiant left us high and dry, because that led us to Jeff, who not only saved the day, but made it a perfect day! Thank you so, so much Jeff! ~Rachel and Eric read more

Jeff married my husband, Sergio and I on May 20th, 2017. From the beginning, Jeff made it a point to get to know us as a couple and made us feel very comfortable around him. On our first meeting with Jeff, we had a pre-marriage counseling session which was monumental for Sergio and I because it allowed both of us to emotionally reconnect again and focus on the true reasons of why we chose to be married. Jeff has years of experience and he leaves no detail unanswered. The day of our wedding, Jeff went up to my husband and I individually and once again ran though the details of the ceremony and it instantly calmed me down because I knew that if I forgot something, Jeff was right there to keep things rolling smoothly. My husband and I were married by Jeff on Sept 3, 2016. We knew from the first meeting we had with him that he would be a great fit for our wedding ceremony. Not only did he make us feel incredibly comfortable during our meetings, he also helped us every step of the way. He was very gracious and loving to our family and bridal party that seemed to have a lot of questions and input. During our ceremony rehearsal, he was able to give up step by step instructions on how to enter and exit the ceremony plus he helped us together a ceremony that was truly one of a kind and really fit our style. Plus our other wedding vendors loved him as did our coordinator. He knows what it takes to make your day truly special, we were blessed to have him a party of our wedding day. read more

Dr. Rev. Jeff did a great job at our wedding in April at Falkner Winery. He is timely, well dressed and gives more instruction than likely any other officiant we've seen or met. And believe me, nervous brides and grooms need all the instruction they can get. Because they don't think about the little things in advance like how to hold the ring as they put it on their spouse's finger for the best photo opportunity. He does guide you through this. He also does a thorough run through/consult a few months before the wedding where you get to practice and ask him tons of questions as he gets to know you better. His military background shows with his attention to details and voice projection. He was ok with our dog being in the wedding, but only after some discussion on our game plan of how the pup would remain behaved. Which was a good thing, because it led us to hiring a handler and really thinking about how we would implement a dog ring-bearer in the safest way, without "winging it". Overall we were very happy with the professional and streamlined ceremony that we had dreamed of. Thanks Jeff! read more

Jeff was an absolute blast to have! From the get go he made my now wife and I feel super welcomed and comfortable when he invited us over to his house to talk about our wedding and the services he would provide (he even threw in some wedding counseling as well!) He explained very well what our strengths and weaknesses were as a couple and how to improve on things. On the wedding rehearsal, we all know how chaotic things can get but Jeff explained to us very well how things would pan out and made sure every knew where and what to do. This was all made evident on the actual ceremony, where there was no hiccups and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Jeff, my wife and my family have no complaints at all and have nothing but nice things to say about him. 5 stars! read more
