We used Chris as our wedding officiant in 2024, and he was easily one of the highlights of the entire night. From the start, he really took the time to understand what we wanted and thoughtfully incorporated everything we asked for into the ceremony. The result was something that felt truly personal, meaningful, and us--never generic or scripted. So many of our guests came up to us afterward asking who he was and how they could get in contact with him, which says everything. If you're looking for an officiant who is professional, engaging, and able to create a ceremony that genuinely resonates, we can't recommend Chris enough. read more

We worked with Chris for our wedding, July 17, 2021. Simply AMAZING!! I've sat through SO many boring ceremonies and I knew that I wanted the exact opposite for my wedding. Chris was very friendly, funny, personable and made sure everyone had a great time. From the start of working with Chris, he was super dope & my favorite, efficient. We did a zoom call prior to booking and he treated us like we've known each other for years. He walked us through all the steps, sent us documents to complete, along with our h/w assignment, got our approvals on everything and just like that our ceremony was planned! The entire crowd LOVED the homework assignment surprise and it kept everyone entertained. You will get never-ending compliments, trust me. Choose Chris for your ceremony, he's worth it. read more

We worked with Chris for our wedding on 05/15/2021. Chris was easy going, personable, transparent, he listened to our vision, and was a pleasure to work with. We reached out online and he responded immediately and set-up a meeting. When we met with him it felt like we were talking to a friend. He asked about how we met, our first date, our backgrounds and most importantly the vision for our ceremony. Throughout the process Chris was responsive, met with us as needed and provided guidance. On our wedding day Chris arrived early, well before the ceremony start time, hung out with our friends and family and introduced himself to several of our guests. He also made it a point to check-in with me (the bride) and my fiancé, to ensure we were doing good and offered his hand if we needed anything. He checked in with the Best Man to confirm the rings and the marriage license. He even found a way to include my brothers into the ceremony which made me very happy. The last minute changes added to our ceremony. Then our ceremony came and it was such a special moment. Chris is truly a master of his craft! He had our audience laughing, crying, and celebrating with us. He delivered an exceptional ceremony and guided us through the whole process so we didn't miss a beat. Our guest thought we've known Chris for years and gave us so many compliments. It was an amazing ceremony and a great wedding. We will remember this moment for the rest of our lives. Chris was truly a pleasure to work with. We are so grateful we found him. read more

Cannot say enough amazing things about Chris and Your Custom Ceremony! From the initial consultation video chat, Chris spent the time to get to know us and find out everything about us as a couple. After that we had some "homework" and Chris went above and beyond to incorporate our story into our ceremony. He made sure that we were comfortable and had everything included we wanted on our special day! He gave great advice and recommendations on ceremony rituals and vows that made everything so seamless. His style of writing had the perfect balance of thoughtful humor and romance, all catered depending on our preferences. On the wedding day, our guests could not stop asking about him and complimenting the ceremony as it was the highlight of the day! His delivery, wit, and remarks made everything so special and specific to us. Our guests were entertained and it made our day amazing! I highly recommend booking Chris as your officiant, he went above and beyond to make our ceremony amazing! read more

Chris is AMAZING x 1000!!! We couldn't imagine a better officiant and we are so happy that we signed up for his pre-martial counseling sessions because we did not want to say goodbye to Chris after the ceremony! We hosted a virtual ceremony with our family and friends (because of COVID) - and Chris blew all of our guests away. He is seriously making waves all over the world - all of our friends family are raving about him and loved him so much!! Here's some of the compliments we received from our guests; "So upbeat and charismatic" "Love that your ceremony was so personal - your officiant was GREAT!" "He was awesome! So funny and entertaining" "Everything was so personal - I laughed, cried and then laughed again" "Perfect ceremony" "Omg he was awesome, just awesome!" "Best officiant I've ever seen!!" "That's the most entertained I've ever been at a wedding ceremony" "He was so funny, I want to hang out with him!" ... and my favorite one: "Your officiant was so professional - where did you find him? Is he from Hollywood? He should be on TV!" (That one was from my dad) :) Thank you again Chris, for everything. Words can't express how grateful we are to have met you. read more

When looking for an officiant for our Dec 2021 wedding it was important we chose someone who understood our culture. With Chris we got that and so much more! From the beginning Chris was extremely easy to talk to and up front about the process and costs which we appreciated. I'm pretty sure we booked him in February for our December wedding so whatever you do DON'T WAIT he will get booked and you will regret it. I'm a planner, my fiancé (now husband) is not but Chris never pressured us with deadlines for our homework as my partner never had his ready on time (make sure you select the package with homework!) The homework made our ceremony so special and unique to us. Initially I thought my favorite part of our wedding day would be the party but hands down my husband and I agree as well as our guests that it was our ceremony! Our custom ceremony was filled with the perfect balance of fun, love, entertainment and emotion. Yes, weddings are supposed to be serious but chris has a special way of making that seriousness not feel boring or stuffy. We as a couple, as well as our audience laughed, cried, and celebrated all in the matter of 45 mins. Chris added our tradition of jumping the broom into the ceremony and we didn't even have to ask him to explain why this was done to our audience, he did it on his own. After the ceremony was over Chris helped us sign our marriage license with our witnesses and delivered it the next business day to the clerks office. To our surprise there was an error on our paperwork (no fault of Chris) and we needed it to be corrected ASAP. Without hesitation and during the holiday week when we all know most people stop working (12/24-12/31) he corrected the issue immediately. And sent photo with receipts to calm my nerves. We obviously could go on and on and if you've made it this far in my review you should just book Chris if he is still available or change your date to make it work with him. Side note my mom (the mother of the bride) works in a church and was skeptical about us not using our family pastor to do the entire ceremony. Our pastor did however say a prayer and a few words during the ceremony which Chris was totally fine with. Anyway after the ceremony my mom had nothing but nice things to say when the wedding was over about Chris and was very pleased even after being skeptical at first. Okay to sum it up, just do it you won't regret it. It will be memorable for you and your guests. Definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you Chris! read more

Chris was the BEST PART of our wedding ceremony, of course other than getting married lol So many people asked us where we found him, and couldn't stop talking about how great he was. YES, he was that good. I'm sure with all the rave reviews it seems to good to be true, but it's not. My expectations were high and Chris exceeded them. Let me just start with the whole initial talk. Chris is so easygoing and warm, it was really just like talking to a friend vs "a meeting with a pastor". I'm using quotes not because he's not a pastor lol but because he does not give a stiff vibe, where we have to try to be anything we aren't. We are believers, but even if you're not he welcomes with open arms and I love that. I was searching for officiants for a long time, and none of them really stood out to me at all. It was all just cookie cutter stuff. Until I saw Chris's website! What I really liked was his about me section (go read it!) . For us it was important to have a Christian Pastor, with a genuine heart. We watched him speak, and knew he was the way to go. (We watch his sermons online now! haha). Throughout the whole process he was so patient, and now I really understand why it's called Custom Ceremony. He thinks everything through, breaks it down for you. There's so many things that I never would have given any thought to, but he made it very easy to navigate our choices. It truly is a custom ceremony down to every line he speaks. He kept reminding us that he works for us , which is true ! He was worth every penny. The ceremony was so fun, spiritual, and sentimental/moving. It was exactly what we were looking for. He also knows how to make the ceremony personal with his homework questions! When I saw reviews talk about "the homework" , I was skeptical that it could be kitschy or corny to have our answers given during the ceremony. But after we actually received the homework, I understood the purpose and intent. Besides it being utilized in our ceremony, it was so useful to sit and reflect over the questions. And when he read our questions and answers , he really delivered! He has comedic background and it showed. His timing and delivery was perfect. When he sends you the initial draft it can appear dry , but just trust him! He knows what he's doing. On the day of, from the moment I met him I felt comfortable. During pre-ceremony there was a small hiccup (not related to him) and my face showed, he automatically focused on me asked me what I needed. It was such a comfort that he really cares, and really would have helped with anything we needed. Seriously if you're on the fence, just go ahead and book him. He was the best choice we made for our wedding. We were SO happy about our ceremony, so many people told us it was the best ceremony they ever attended. It was so funny, because he has such genuine character, and we were so comfortable with him- that people thought we knew him personally lol. Seriously with all the stress of wedding planning, and choosing vendors. Just make your life easier and choose Chris! read more

When my now-husband and I started planning our wedding, we knew we didn't want a standard ceremony. We wanted a ceremony that would reflect us as a couple and tell our story, so when I found Chris, I had a feeling he would be perfect for the job. I set up a meeting with Chris, my fiancé and myself and we ended up having a conversation filled laughs and plenty of story-telling. After that meeting, my fiancé and I knew we wanted Chris to officiate our wedding, we didn't even consider any other officiants. Our wedding day was on July 30th and I'm happy to say that Chris more than delivered on his promise of a custom ceremony! Our ceremony had plenty of laughs and cries and it encapsulated us as a couple. Our guests loved it! We would 10/10 recommend Chris as an officiant to our friends and family! Thank you again, Chris, for making our ceremony so memorable! read more

Our wedding was July 25 2021. With that being said, the reason why it took me so long to review Chris is mainly because I have no words that will do this man justice. When we began planning, one of the most daunting tasks was finding an officiant because the ceremony was the most important part to us. We eloped in 2019 and were were supposed to have our wedding in 2020, but the pandemic hit. We were saving our vows for our "big" wedding ceremony so needless to say, we wanted the ceremony to shine and finally give us the platform to show our love for one another. We wanted someone that understood us like a family member but we weren't too keen on the idea of having a family member officiate our wedding. One quick google search later, we found Chris. Simply put, after meeting with Chris we felt like we had a meeting with someone that knew us for years. After leaving our consultation my husband said, "I could talk to and listen to him tell stories for hours. " What he put together for our ceremony was beyond anything I could ask for. Somehow he put both of our personalities into words and showcased the love we have for each other in ways I didn't even think was possible. My husband and I are huge Harry Potter fans and he even included little gems and quotes in our ceremony reading. Long story short, do not, I repeat, DO NOT look any further. If you are reading this review, you have found your wedding officiant. Chris if funny, caring, professional, but most importantly you can tell he loves what he does. At the end of the day, you need someone like him in your corner. To Chris, thank you for all that you do and have done for us! If I could give you 100 stars, I would. You were one of the biggest blessings to us during this journey. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. - Tyasia and Carnell Harris read more

Wow is all I can say! Chris went above and beyond to help us create the wedding ceremony of our dreams. Yes Chris is charismatic, heartfelt, and kind, but above all Chris made it very evident how much he cares about our marriage, not just our wedding. Doing pre marital counseling with Chris was the best thing we ever did for our relationship and really helped us to solidify our foundation. Don't hesitate on booking Chris! read more

Chris handled our wedding professionally and with care. He took the time to learn about our story by assigning us homework and made the ceremony unique to us as a couple. Many of our guests came up to ask how we found Chris and if he was a friend of ours because he spoke about us as if he had known us for years. This is what you want people to remember about your wedding. I look forward to seeing him at our friends' weddings in the future. Thank you, Chris! read more

Pastor Chris was our wedding ceremony officiant this past October. He took the time to sit down and hear our story and even gave us answers to some of our marriage questions for advice. As other reviews mention, he gives you a list of question for the bride and Groom to answer and submit and reveals the answers on the day of ceremony. As per our request, he kept the ceremony 30-45min and simple and entertaining and boy did he deliver! Not only was it lively and funny, but he was flexible with last minute requests on the day of the wedding. As soon as the ceremony was over and the cocktail hour started, my cousins and aunt/uncles came to look for me to tell me how that was the best wedding officiant they've seen. The price wasn't cheap but was definitely worth it since the guests didn't feel the ceremony was a drag... because I know that I tend to not enjoy being a wedding guest when the ceremony drags! Thank you Chris for being a part of our day and making it so memorable for us AND our family&friends!!! read more

The 5 Star reviews are definitely well deserved. My fiancée and I worked with Chris for premarital counseling. I really feel that my marriage will be better because of what we discussed and worked on during our sessions. Chris is super nice and personable. He really helped both me and my fiancée feel heard. We are having a destination wedding, but if we had been married more locally, I definitely would have asked him to officiate. Highly highly recommend premarital counseling, and just working with Chris in general. read more

Chris is simply the best. Not only did he do an incredible job of officiating our Wedding, but leading up to that day he provided guidance, advice, and patience as things had been changing due to COVID. The most valuable thing we invested in was his Pre-marital counseling- this is an absolute must have. It improved our relationship tremendously, and gave us practical tools to help us get through inevitable challenges. Chris, from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! We are so grateful that we found you as our Officiant. For those of you reading this, there is no competition. No one will care as much, or put in the time as much as Chris did with us. So do not hesitate to choose him, you won't regret it. read more

We would absolutely recommend Chris and Your Custom Ceremony. I came across his company in early 2019 after getting engaged and starting the wedding planning process, then like many other couples 2020 changed our plans. He was phenomenal and we were very grateful to have him as part of our important life milestone. read more

Chris did an AMAZING job at our wedding! :) We loved the Ceremony and everything came out so nice. The ceremony was romantic, fun and fit our personalities so well. (Our story is a little different). I was looking for an officiant one month before our wedding date b.c. the priest we were originally speaking with was asking for $800! Well I have never been more thankful for review websites because it led us to Chris. WOW from the moment we spoke on the phone it was clear he was set apart from the old school officiant stereotype. He was funny, witty, and I just knew we had to have him be apart od our ceremony. It truly is A CUSTOM CEREMONY. He sends you home with "homework" several questions about you and your fiance ... which he incorporates into the ceremony and you hear the answers of for the first time at the cermony itself! AMAZING! Its those special touches that matter, trust me. We have a four month old and Chris was more than willing to meet with us via Skype for our convenience. We fell in love with him instantly. He is the best blend of funny personable yet completely professional. He even asked us what our attire would be the day of so he wouldnt clash. When it came to our wedding ceremony, everything was going smoothly, then bam, when it came time for me to read my vows, turns out our wedding planner misplaced them and Chris was so quick to think on his feet...he went right to sharing funny and candid stories from our homework about how my husband and I firat met from the top of his head! After aboit 7 minutes of our coordinator scrambling to find the vows it was apparent we needed a plan B. Of course chris to the rescue had his I pad on hand and lent it to me to read my vows right from my email! Saved the day COMPLETELY, and all of our guests kept talking about how wonderful he was the entire night long. We even brought our four month old baby up at the end to have a custom baby blessing that involved our guests When it came time for our first kiss, Chris held our son (he's a father of three himself). Priceless moment. We couldnt've asked for a more memorable ceremony or officiant, who truly saved the day! I want to scream from the rooftops how much we'd like for everyone to share the same experience we've had with our amazing officiant. Thank you Chris for all that you've done for us and our family. We will never forget it! read more

Hiring Chris was the smartest decision we ever made. He's funny, detail-oriented and a PERFECT officiant. When people mention our wedding, right after they say how beautiful it was....they say "Oh my GOODNESS your OFFICIANT was AMAZING!" Our ceremony felt like US and represented our morals and values. Chris helped us determine what really is important to us. We did our own vows AND traditional. We even did a wine ceremony and it fit soooo well! I must also mention, Chris had sixth sense about things. When I was waiting for our ceremony to start, Chris came to check on me and see how I was doing. He even offered to pray with me, which meant the WORLD to me. It calmed nerves I didn't even know I had. Even during the ceremony, I was thrown off by a quick move one of the photographers made and Chris moved my hands so they were in place to put my hubby's ring on correctly. Little things like that mattered so much to me. Chris helped make our day perfect, even with the little lumps and bumps. One more thing about Chris, he checked on us more than any other vendor. Yes, we had great vendors....but Chris checked in just to say "hi". Not to bug us about a payment, not to ask us whether or not we did our homework....just to check on us. When you're wrapped up in wedding stuff, it's nice to have someone just say "Hi" and not ask you to do anything! Chris is absolutely fabulous and worth every dime. You will never regret working with him!!!! read more

Thank you so much Chris for being the best officiant. The way he personalized our ceremony was so beautiful and humorous at the same time. I really felt Chris was able to bring our personality to the ceremony and kept it entertaining. The homework Chris provided really allowed us and our guest to understand our love story. He was very responsive to emails and always available to answer questions. We received so many compliments from our wedding guests on the great amount of energy Chris brought to the ceremony. Would absolutely refer him in a heartbeat to anyone in need of an officiant. read more

Chris was absolutely amazing! We took premarital classes with Chris, which I highly recommend, and it helped spark eye opening conversations as well as allow him to get to know us on a deeper level. He made our ceremony so personable and fun! All of our guests raved about him and said " I don't think I've ever been engaged from beginning to end at a wedding ceremony until today." We couldn't have asked for a better officiant, and we are beyond grateful for everything you've done! read more

I wish I could give Chris more stars, maybe even a Diamond rating perhaps. He was PHENOMENAL. We got such positive reviews that our ceremony was the best people had ever attended. Chris spoke like he knew us (because he did!) and that makes such a huge difference when it comes to wedding ceremonies. Chris also helped out during our rehearsal when our coordinator couldnt. We met Chaplin Chris 2 weeks prior to our wedding in January. He was very open to hearing about my husband's "dream" wedding. I want to make a point that I RARELY take the time to review things, but when I do, it is certainly bounds for good reason. Our experience working with Chris was FANTASTIC!! Chris was very warm welcoming, organized, communicated expectations clearly, overall the best pick we could have ever made. We interviewed several folks prior and nothing compared to the service, quality, and experience of working with Chris. He was extremely helpful answering questions and truly open to embodying what WE wanted in our ceremony. His personality was everything-such a fun, loving, energetic person by nature. He certainly took away any nervous jitters I had with comedic relief. We enjoyed working with him throughout the entire process and our guests enjoyed his style for our ceremony. I think I've received more compliments about Chris than I have for any other component of my wedding. Chris takes the time to really get to know you to ensure that the ceremony is personal and special. At our first meeting we hit it off and knew immediately that he was the officiant for us. He took lots of notes and came prepared with questions to get an idea of who we were as a couple. Both of us were emailed "homework" which consisted of questions that we filled out separately and those answers were worked into the ceremony. It was so fun hearing how we both responded to them. As the wedding got closer we met again in person so he could get to know us further and make sure the ceremony was perfect. Chris wanted to make sure that the ceremony was exactly what we wanted and that he was able to capture us as a couple. Communication was great throughout the entire process and he happily accommodated all notes and requests after he sent the first draft. Our ceremony was the perfect combination of laughter and tears and was so much more than I ever expected it to be. He will incorporate any aspects into the wedding you want and will add his own flair truly enhancing your vision! We did a hand tying/fasting ritual and Chris brought it to life! The words were so beautiful!! He made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout the ceremony and in all meetings/correspondence up until the big day! He arrived early to both the wedding and rehearsal! He made sure both of us were okay and calm before the ceremony an had great words to keep you calm!
