Cannot say enough amazing things about Chris and Your Custom Ceremony! From the initial consultation video chat, Chris spent the time to get to know us and find out everything about us as a couple. After that we had some "homework" and Chris went above and beyond to incorporate our story into our ceremony. He made sure that we were comfortable and had everything included we wanted on our special day! He gave great advice and recommendations on ceremony rituals and vows that made everything so seamless. His style of writing had the perfect balance of thoughtful humor and romance, all catered depending on our preferences. On the wedding day, our guests could not stop asking about him and complimenting the ceremony as it was the highlight of the day! His delivery, wit, and remarks made everything so special and specific to us. Our guests were entertained and it made our day amazing! I highly recommend booking Chris as your officiant, he went above and beyond to make our ceremony amazing!

Chris is AMAZING x 1000!!! We couldn't imagine a better officiant and we are so happy that we signed up for his pre-martial counseling sessions because we did not want to say goodbye to Chris after the ceremony! We hosted a virtual ceremony with our family and friends (because of COVID) - and Chris blew all of our guests away. He is seriously making waves all over the world - all of our friends family are raving about him and loved him so much!! Here's some of the compliments we received from our guests; "So upbeat and charismatic" "Love that your ceremony was so personal - your officiant was GREAT!" "He was awesome! So funny and entertaining" "Everything was so personal - I laughed, cried and then laughed again" "Perfect ceremony" "Omg he was awesome, just awesome!" "Best officiant I've ever seen!!" "That's the most entertained I've ever been at a wedding ceremony" "He was so funny, I want to hang out with him!" ... and my favorite one: "Your officiant was so professional - where did you find him? Is he from Hollywood? He should be on TV!" (That one was from my dad) :) Thank you again Chris, for everything. Words can't express how grateful we are to have met you.

When looking for an officiant for our Dec 2021 wedding it was important we chose someone who understood our culture. With Chris we got that and so much more! From the beginning Chris was extremely easy to talk to and up front about the process and costs which we appreciated. I'm pretty sure we booked him in February for our December wedding so whatever you do DON'T WAIT he will get booked and you will regret it. I'm a planner, my fiancé (now husband) is not but Chris never pressured us with deadlines for our homework as my partner never had his ready on time (make sure you select the package with homework!) The homework made our ceremony so special and unique to us. Initially I thought my favorite part of our wedding day would be the party but hands down my husband and I agree as well as our guests that it was our ceremony! Our custom ceremony was filled with the perfect balance of fun, love, entertainment and emotion. Yes, weddings are supposed to be serious but chris has a special way of making that seriousness not feel boring or stuffy. We as a couple, as well as our audience laughed, cried, and celebrated all in the matter of 45 mins. Chris added our tradition of jumping the broom into the ceremony and we didn't even have to ask him to explain why this was done to our audience, he did it on his own. After the ceremony was over Chris helped us sign our marriage license with our witnesses and delivered it the next business day to the clerks office. To our surprise there was an error on our paperwork (no fault of Chris) and we needed it to be corrected ASAP. Without hesitation and during the holiday week when we all know most people stop working (12/24-12/31) he corrected the issue immediately. And sent photo with receipts to calm my nerves. We obviously could go on and on and if you've made it this far in my review you should just book Chris if he is still available or change your date to make it work with him. Side note my mom (the mother of the bride) works in a church and was skeptical about us not using our family pastor to do the entire ceremony. Our pastor did however say a prayer and a few words during the ceremony which Chris was totally fine with. Anyway after the ceremony my mom had nothing but nice things to say when the wedding was over about Chris and was very pleased even after being skeptical at first. Okay to sum it up, just do it you won't regret it. It will be memorable for you and your guests. Definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you Chris!

Chris is the most amazing Officiant ever. From the moment we had our initial consultation until we said "I DO" his customer service was impeccable. No detail was missed. Our ceremony was the perfect balance of comedy and seriousness. Chris went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. His kind spirit and personality allowed us to feel vulnerable to express our needs for the Big Day. If you are getting married, look no further! Thank you so much.

Chris is an excellent wedding officiant. Really took the pressure off my wife and I for our big day. He is a true professional and very responsive throughout the entire planning process. He created a custom ceremony experience that was perfect for us. He really was able to keep the crowd engaged and maintain a perfect balance of humor. Our guest loved the ceremony and we could not have done it without Chris. Trust me, Chris is the man for your ceremony.

When my now-husband and I started planning our wedding, we knew we didn't want a standard ceremony. We wanted a ceremony that would reflect us as a couple and tell our story, so when I found Chris, I had a feeling he would be perfect for the job. I set up a meeting with Chris, my fiancé and myself and we ended up having a conversation filled laughs and plenty of story-telling. After that meeting, my fiancé and I knew we wanted Chris to officiate our wedding, we didn't even consider any other officiants. Our wedding day was on July 30th and I'm happy to say that Chris more than delivered on his promise of a custom ceremony! Our ceremony had plenty of laughs and cries and it encapsulated us as a couple. Our guests loved it! We would 10/10 recommend Chris as an officiant to our friends and family! Thank you again, Chris, for making our ceremony so memorable!

Our wedding was July 25 2021. With that being said, the reason why it took me so long to review Chris is mainly because I have no words that will do this man justice. When we began planning, one of the most daunting tasks was finding an officiant because the ceremony was the most important part to us. We eloped in 2019 and were were supposed to have our wedding in 2020, but the pandemic hit. We were saving our vows for our "big" wedding ceremony so needless to say, we wanted the ceremony to shine and finally give us the platform to show our love for one another. We wanted someone that understood us like a family member but we weren't too keen on the idea of having a family member officiate our wedding. One quick google search later, we found Chris. Simply put, after meeting with Chris we felt like we had a meeting with someone that knew us for years. After leaving our consultation my husband said, "I could talk to and listen to him tell stories for hours. " What he put together for our ceremony was beyond anything I could ask for. Somehow he put both of our personalities into words and showcased the love we have for each other in ways I didn't even think was possible. My husband and I are huge Harry Potter fans and he even included little gems and quotes in our ceremony reading. Long story short, do not, I repeat, DO NOT look any further. If you are reading this review, you have found your wedding officiant. Chris if funny, caring, professional, but most importantly you can tell he loves what he does. At the end of the day, you need someone like him in your corner. To Chris, thank you for all that you do and have done for us! If I could give you 100 stars, I would. You were one of the biggest blessings to us during this journey. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. - Tyasia and Carnell Harris

Chris did an AMAZING job at our wedding! :) We loved the Ceremony and everything came out so nice. The ceremony was romantic, fun and fit our personalities so well. The flow of everything went perfect and the thing I liked the most was that he really took the time to get to know us as a couple before our ceremony! It was the best day of our lives! Everything was perfect! I would definitely recommend him! You will not be disappointed! Thanks for everything Chris!

Very professional and fast! We wanted our wedding to be on our anniversary (Veterans day). They can come to you, or you can go to them. Now, we got married during the pandemic so it was very limited to what they can actually offer at their location. We brought in tripods to set up our phones to do a virtual wedding. I had Facebook live and my husband had zoom on his. This allowed all of our friends and family to attend from near and far. We got there at 1030am to set up and sign the documents. Then the ceremony started at 11am and finished at 11:11am! It did not take us 1 hour to get married, took us longer to set up than it did for the whole process lol. The BEST part is they do EVERYTHING that deals with paperwork for you! During covid, that meant everything because I didnt have to worry about going to file at the county, or deal with people. I know my sister-in-law got married at the same place and so did another colleague from work after we did.

This might be a long one, so bear with me. It goes to show just how much my wife and I appreciated…read moreeverything that Low did for us! So a couple weeks before we were to be married, our pastor we intended on having, fell through. We were a mess at this point, with no idea what to do. We contacted Low, and his responses were extremely fast and helpful. The Sunday before our date, we met with him in Huntington. We'd never used anyone like this, so we were very stressed, not sure how personable and catered to US this would be. Within minutes of sitting down with Low, we started to feel at ease. Like another reviewer said, he recorded our 30-45 minute conversation, so he could be in the moment there with us, talk to us, and get to know us, using our conversation as the basis for personalizing our ceremony that was in a mere 6 days! When we left, we felt good, but still a little apprehensive. Would it be funny? Serious? A hybrid? Low had told us a few things about how he works and his background, but we decided to give it a shot. With 6 days left, we really had no choice. Wedding day came, and it was to be a beach wedding at Arch Cove in Laguna. (Pro-Tip for Laguna Beach weddings...check the tide tables, AND check the beach itself REALLY early on the day of the wedding, if not the day before, and have backup locations ready! At our first location, Arch Cove, the beach steps went all the way to the sand when we first picked the spot. By wedding day a few months later, the surf had washed away a massive portion of the sand and there was now a 2-foot or more drop off from the steps to the beach. Not workable for our older family members.) So here I was, an hour before our wedding, and absolutely FREAKING out. My fiance was getting ready in our room, I was supposed to be at the location, and there was no way family would be able to navigate those stairs and massive step down to the sand. Low took me aside and said...."It'll be ok. Let's check out other beaches. I've done plenty of these around here, and I know other spots." He calmed me, reassured me, and while I was still freaking out, we got in his car and drove. This is where having a secondary backup site for a beach wedding comes in handy. I told him our backup was Shaw's Cove. We were there within minutes, and the place, while a little crowded, was do-able. The massive texts and call frenzy began, and thank God we just had immediate family for the ceremony itself. Only had to re-coordinate with 20 people. Low could see I was on the verge of a panic attack. He again took me aside, talked to me (can't remember exactly what he said), but he reassured me everything was going to be just fine. He told me what to do, and said he'd take care of the rest. At this point, I wasn't even dressed. Again, glad we had a low-key, casual wedding planned, because I just had a linen shirt and beige slacks to put on. But now where to change? Many Laguna Beaches have no restroom facilities. Low gave me his keys, and said I could change in his car. So that's what I did right there on a side-street in Laguna Beach in the back of Low's car. Family got there, fiance got there, and the wedding was.....PERFECT! His message and words seemed to be from someone that knew us for years! Humor, faith, integration of how important our kids and families are to us....all of it it was just absolutely STELLAR! By now I've rambled on too much. For anyone out there that's looking for a wedding officiant, just know that Low went amazingly above and beyond anything my wife and I could have ever hoped for! What looked like was going to be a disaster, turned into one of the most amazing days of my life! Thank you soooooooo much, Low! We're SO glad we decided to have you be a part of our special day!

Although…read moreHeather communicated very well, there were a couple of incidents that I found slightly unprofessional: 1. I signed a contract with one of her staff as my wedding planner. Unfortunately, from my understanding, there were unexpected changes in the company, so Heather had to take over. However, Heather responded that she would make an exception for me and not charge me an additional $1000 for this change. With all due respect, I should not be financially penalized for changes that an owner experiences; especially since I already signed the contract that I financially agreed to. 2. I encountered a lot of life changes that disrupted my ability to move forward with a wedding that my brothers were supposed to be in. For instance, I had a depressed, suicidal brother, I had another brother leave for Japan for the Marines, and I had an uncle pass away. All vendors except for Heather were so kind to fully refund my deposits due to the situation. Unfortunately, Heather responded that she was still a businesswoman and was financially hurting, so she was in no place to offer a full refund. I basically paid Heather almost $500 to establish a simple contract. I already had all the vendors in place and organized, so this deposit was for nothing. Heather should not be held responsible for unexpected circumstances, but this wedding meant a lot to me. As a business owner, you should be able to compromise with your clients based on their situation. I could have easily used that deposit to help my family for the funeral. I find this situation absurd because I never wanted a wedding planner to begin with. Our wedding list was only 32 guests, but my fiancé insisted that we hire a planner because he did not want me to stress out. I admire him for caring, but this wedding was going to be a private and intimate event with very little management. I blame myself for hiring a wedding planner when I did not need one. It is unfortunate that Heather was thinking like a businesswoman and not a human being with empathy. Nonetheless, please make sure to ask about the refund policy for emergencies such as death, health, etc. Two stars are for her communication, but I can only evaluate Heather based on my experience with her before the wedding date. Therefore, I am unable to provide feedback for her day service since my wedding never happened. Has it ever occurred to you, Heather, that you had not heard from me in a year because I was busy dealing with other important things like planning a funeral? My wedding was the last thing on my mind. Also, I was not complaining about the charge that never happened, I am complaining about your response to your changes. There was no need to comment on that you are more expensive and won't be charging me. We could have proceeded forward with whatever it was we were doing. You contacted ONE venue and that is because they had YOU sign a contract with them. FYI, my pre-engagement photos were scheduled with the photographer I hired for my wedding and I was still refunded the full amount. This vendor did not work for free either and still managed to prioritize customer service over money. You are a business owner and have the liberty to do as you please, but you must have needed the money more than I did, so I hope my contributions helped your business. Nonetheless, well done on your communication. If you have a family member with a life-threatening illness or you have a medical condition that may require potential hospitalization, please do not hire Heather as your wedding planner as she will not refund you the deposit because not make exceptions for your situation simply because she does not "work for free." Thank you.
