Terri was absolutely phenomenal! We searched high and low for the perfect officiant and Terri was exactly that! She provided us with a Google spreadsheet that we all could view and edit at the same time, and that made getting the ceremony figured out 10 times easier. She was always prompt and so sweet each time we reached out with a question. Terri made us feel like we had known her for years. The day of the ceremony, Terri arrived 30 minutes early and hung out on the beach while we had our photos taken. She used that time to fill out our marriage license for us without us even having to ask. She even went a step further and turned in the paperwork for us (and sent us a scanned copy) so that's one less thing we have to worry about. When it was time for the ceremony, she was fantastic! It felt like she was having a conversation with us instead of reading off of a paper. She had the great idea to have one of our kids record the ceremony with our phone. When it came time for the sand ceremony, it was a smooth phone/camera transition from my daughter to Terri. Terri took an awesome video of our family during the sand ceremony and also got some great views of our surroundings. Our ceremony couldn't have been more perfect. Where do I start?! Terri is nothing short of AMAZING! I contacted Terry and we went back and forth via email for a week or so before we met, and during that time, she sent me samples of vows and asked some pertinent questions to get a better feel of my groom and I. Then, we met at her "office" in the Marina...which turned out to be on her boat! How awesome is that?! There, my groom, my 12-year old soon and I talked with Terri about things that were important to us during our wedding. She listened, took notes and more importantly, she got US. She understood the obstacles we were facing, the family issues and clashing between the two and most importantly, she understood how much it meant to me to have my son walk me down the aisle. She promised to make our crowd understand, as much as she possibly could, the importance of my son having that role in our wedding. Terri continued to email me after our initial meeting at her "office" and we went back and forth on our script before the big day until it was perfect. Prior to the start of the wedding, Terri came to find me and touch base to make sure I was holding up, and to talk with my son about his big role and to answer any questions he may have had, which was going above and beyond! Shortly after that, I met my groom down at the alter. Terri was amazing! She was very welcoming. She spoke to our guests and explained why I had my son walk me down the aisle, which some people didn't understand. At one point, some ducks were being noisy and she made a joke that had everyone laughing. She smiled, was kind, very poised, and incorporated so many aspects of my groom and I into our ceremony. And on 9/28/12 at around 6:30 in the evening, we were married! After the ceremony, while we were busy getting our pictures taken, Terri had gotten the required signatures for our license and she quietly made her exit. During the reception, I can't tell you how many people came up to tell us how amazing she was, some even asked if she was a relative, because it was like she knew us that well! And still, almost 2 months later, randomly, people that were at the wedding will bring her up and talk about how great she was! The VERY next day, she had emailed me a copy of the signed license and notified me that she had sent it off to the Recorder's Office and congratulated us again. We couldn't be more happy that we are with the ENTIRE process of having Terri marry us, from the initial email, to the wedding, to the emails after the wedding, inviting us to go hang out with her and go whale watching. We had one in-person meeting with her and it was pretty easy to tell that she was going to bring a positive attitude to our ceremony while not making things corny. While searching for an officiant, it was surprising and disturbing how many officiants think they should act like a stand-up comedian. Juliet on the other hand was very charming and respectful. We found Terri on Yelp and she officiated our wedding in Dana Point in October. Even though our ceremony was tiny, there was still a lot of prep work and we were doing it from 2400 miles away. Since we do not live in the area we met with her twice via skype to discuss details and confirm plans. We've been wanting to post this review for 11 months...better late than never right? We received SO many compliments about Terri after our wedding and how well spoken, charming and funny she is. She is truly a delight. Weddings by Terri is affordable, professional, extremely helpful and quick to respond via e-mail or phone call. We live in Arizona and got married in Dana Point and Terri made every step of the process seem super easy. One thing I found incredibly helpful was a wedding template in a word document that she sent me with a ton of wedding ideas from sample vows to wedding prayers/poems, etc. From the document we were able to easily customize our ceremony to fit US. We had an outdoor ceremony with 40 people and Terri brought along her own small PA system and microphone and everyone said the sound was perfect. I've been to so many weddings this year where the officiant stumbled over their words and forgot the names of the bride/groom and I have to say ours went off without a hitch. P.S. Terri officiated our wedding last month. She is very nice, flexible, responds in a timely manner to emails and there are no hidden fees. The reason why I did not give 5 stars is because she arrived late to our ceremony. According to our initial consultation, she said she would arrive 30 mins prior (5:30pm) to ceremony to meet up with the bride and groom and go over the details. Our ceremony was scheduled to start at 6pm. Everyone, including the bride was ready to go down the aisle at 6pm. At 6:05pm, Terri was nowhere to be found. Luckily, our venue was nearby so she arrived shortly afterwards. When she arrived, she was not prepared and had to print some papers at the venue. Our ceremony probably started around 6:15pm which is not terribly late however, we had an outdoor ceremony in August and we didn't want our guests unnecessary waiting in the heat. During our consultation, we said that we wanted to start promptly on time because our ceremony schedule was from 6 to 6:30pm. During the ceremony reading, she added back a part that I had intentionally removed from the template. Besides that little detail, the ceremony reading was good. Overall, it was an unnecessary added stress to our wedding having everyone wait on the officiant. read more

Terri officiated at my brother's wedding on May 9, 2014 on a bluff in Dana Point overlooking the ocean and harbor and it was lovely! It was a very small wedding so more informal than most, but truly inspirational and professional. She helped my brother and (now) sister-in-law in finding the venue and it couldn't have been more perfect. She even had a length of rope that she tied around their wrists at the end to signify 'tying the knot'.
