We tried Just Fur Pets on a recommendation from a work colleague. We never looked back. Even though the drive is 45-55 minutes one way, it is well worth it. Our dog loves Denise and her husband. They take great care of him. Also, their their rates are very reasonable. Much cheaper than downtown Austin standards. While it is a little bit of a drive, your bill will be less and you can sleep easily knowing your pet is well taken care of and loved. Simply put, I cannot recommend Just Fur Pets enough. My son called on Monday but the vet was in surgery. He was assured Dr Pratt would call. She finally called at 8 but couldn't seem to get through. She didn't bother to try again. Another day with no results and lost for possible treatment. He called again Tuesday morning and was given the same run around. Dr Pratt was in surgery but would call as soon as she was free. I called that afternoon to let them know how upset we were! Dr Pratt had just walked into a room with a patient! So let me get this straight...we can left waiting for 2 days but she couldnt be bothered to leave a patient waiting for a few minutes to give us the test result! it's now 6 so we've lost yet another day of treatment IF there's something wrong and Dr Pratt still can't be bothered to call, leaving our pet at risk if somethings wrong!! Our place we use for "doggy day care" recommended this place, as our other vet did not offer the "Influenza" shot our dog needed for the "doggy day care". It is a "two-shot" process, so we brought her in her in for her first initial shot and we could tell her demeanor was great! She did have her tail down, but not "between her legs" like the other place. They were so nice to her, and we were in and out quickly. The second time we went for her follow up shot, we had to wait a little longer, and we had a question for a the vet, so we waited a little longer. Again, our puppy was so comfortable in their waiting area! The ladies behind the desk just loved her, and even came out and tried to pet her (she was a little bit shy with them). But, once we met Dr. Chapa and her assistant in the exam room they were soo great. Again, our puppy was a little nervous, but both ladies were sooo nice to her. They got down on the ground with her, and petted her while we told the vet of our concerns. Dr. Chapa was very compassionate, and great with her. When she administered her shot, our puppy did great! The only call I did receive was from Megan letting me know that Sadie was ready to be picked up. I couldn't believe it. She didn't chew anyone's face off? She wasn't being expelled for bad behavior? Nope! I arrived and found my old girl soft and fluffy. Her nails were even ground down much shorter than I thought they could be! In a good way! I received a report card detailing everything that Megan did and how Sadie reacted. Knowing Sadie is sometimes a little rotten (but I love her to pieces anyway), I consider Megan a miracle worker for getting her to cooperate! Megan has a true gift!
