My review extends beyond this location, but, unfortunately as this location dropped the last ball this is where I am leaving my review. I had an important package scheduled for delivery which originated at this hub. It was supposed to be delivered Friday. I logged into MyUPS app in the morning and there was no indication that a signature was required - I always make the proper arrangements when a signature is required. The delivery attempt was made while I was away from my home and the reason for non-delivery stated a delivery was needed. Fine. I call the local office which was supposed to receive my package and they tell me the hub won't make a delivery until the following business day which would have been Saturday on a next-day delivery. I call this hub and do not get anyone on the phone. I call the 800 number and they tell me that next-business day on next-day packages is Monday. I say the package is important and necessary for work and asked if I could pick it up at the hub. They tell me I can and make the necessary changes. They tell me to arrive no later than 5pm. Half an hour following my call to the 800 number, I get a call back stating that I would need to be there before 7pm, not 5pm. Perfect, more time to rearrange my day. Around 6pm, I start heading over to this location and get a call from a team member who actually works at the location. I tell her I am on my way and she tells me that I shouldn't be on my way because they're supposed to call me before I go. I apologize and tell her what the 800 number told me, and she rudely tells me I am not listening to her and to do what she says. She tells me the truck is running late and that I should be there before 7pm but the truck won't be in before 7:30pm. She told me if I get there at 7, I can wait until the truck arrives. Not the best situation, but fair enough. I get to the location and I tell the front desk rep about my conversations with multiple people. I give her the tracking number and she doesn't say a word to me, she just points at the screen. When I ask what that means, she tells me that the package won't be there until the following day. I get upset and I tell her that I literally just received a call and I was asked to be there before 7pm. She walks away - presumably to speak with the person who calls me - and comes back and tells me the truck was sent back out by the supervisor and that if I am there after 7:30pm, they will escort me out. I was livid and had to make another 50 mile round trip the following morning to pick up a package that should have been delivered to my home Friday afternoon. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because that last representative ensured that when I arrived Saturday morning, my package was ready to go. read more

One of the local UPS drivers that takes off from this location was supposed to pick up a very large package at my house and he just blew by my house according to my ring Cam and he had the audacity to state that he attempted to pick up the package. I saved money today coming to the Main UPS customer Center in Deerfield Beach over the independent UPS stores to ship my 3 packages. It was cost-effective & only $8.00 for the Box & supplies. I was shipping glassware and UPS suggested to put my 3 boxes inside 1 custom cut box to ensure the contents were extra safe. Great suggestion, so I said let's do it. You won't be disappointed. package was supposed to be delivered yesterday between 2:30-4:30. At about 4:19, when I received notice from the company I made my purchase from that my package was due, I checked to see if it was close as it's a medical device that I had stayed home to wait for and my update stated that my package was not able to be delivered and they were trying to gain security access to delivery. I do not live in a gaited community or have a gate at my driveway, no security access is necessary. And they were not trying to gain access as stated, I did not receive any communications (call, text, email) requesting such access. I do have construction front of my house and best I can assume is the driver didn't feel like dealing with the construction as USPS and Amazon both delivered just fine and I saw FedEx on my street as well. I have called customer service now 4 times to be contacted by the local dispatch regarding the issue and they will not return my call requests. They even noted that they called and spoke to me, which is a lie. Customer service is beyond terrible. They have been paid for a service and they are not doing their jobs, I highly recommend using anyone but them. read more

I never had a problem getting my UPS deliveries until I moved to Florida. I came from Pennsylvania and always got my packages the day they were due or before. UPS really went downhill when you decided to hire these frauds for employees. What LIARS they are. How dare you lie and say you tried to deliver my box that I have been home waiting for and constantly checking the UPS site for. The worst part is that other people have had the same thing happen to them with this Deerfield location and it's obvious that UPS doesn't care or it wouldn't continue to happen. I never thought I would write a review on a UPS customer center but the one in Deerfield Beach is terrible or at least the drivers are. It's great how they can get out of delivering a package by just saying they attempted the delivery when in fact they didn't attempt anything. I wouldn't even take my time to write a review but this is not the first time this has happened and it's unacceptable. Just be honest and say they were running late and you'll be the first delivery the next day, don't say they made an attempt when that's a total lie. I've been having issues with my packages being delivered to my address. I'm aware it was a new community but it has been over 7 months now. I have no issues with usps. Or Amazon or FedEx. It's only with UPS..I pay for shipping and I've been having to go out of my way, drive 25min to get the package myself. Why am I paying for shipping then? This last package has been nothing but frustrating. I am currently sitting in the ups "lobby", and have been here for over an hour. They told me to come at 6:45 because this facility closes at 7:00. It is now 7:45. My driver got back (or was supposed to get back) at 7:15. It seems as if nothing at all is happening here. The drivers/workers in the back are talking and our packages are just floating around somewhere in the warehouse. The lady at the front desk here looks like she wants to strangle each of us, but we are stuck! This is truly an inconvenient and borderline miserable experience. Update. Shipment during Hurricane Irma was sent to this facility. Big Mistake. The staff would not give us the package without photo ID with a business address. WTF - we're a small business and don't have business photo IDs. We called UPS customer service - their computer system won't allow them to update delivery. Shipments redirected during the storm to FedEx were a breeze - a drivers license proving name was sufficient. The delivery drivers mostly ALWAYS delivers my AMAZON parcels to the place of business **next door** I cannot just walk over and get it because the driver delivers it to the back warehouse, so I have to get one of the guys to walk over there and talk to the other smart one that signs for the parcel with my name on it. Missed the delivery on Wednesday at 420, I signed their note and said "Please leave it at the door, it's a safe neighboorhood. Next day at 420, driver left a note that said "NEED a signature CANNOT leave the package" Friday, I leave work early to get home by 4 o'clock, only to find out that today he came at 3:05. And now I have to drive 25 miles to pickup my package, and I have to wait until tomorrow. Funny enough, 3 other packages were also delivered today by UPS. The contents of which are way more valuable than the 1st. He left those 3 no problem, as they were not signature required, and did not leave the 1st package. I wish i could give them 0 stars. I had an iPhone shipped to me & once it went through this facility it magically "goes missing" yet apparently this has happened before we other people. They had the package, scanned it and "attempted to deliver" it (no one attempted to deliver it), once i called the 800 number they ensured me that the facility had the package and it would be delivered the next day. The next day rolls around and the driver comes to my house to deliver a DIFFERENT package and proceeds to tell me "i have this package for you, but the one your looking for i don't have on my truck. I didn't have it yesterday & i didn't have it today." Yet the package was scanned BOTH days. So i called the 800 number AGAIN in fury now. I spoke to a supervisor who then called this facility and they said it might be on a different truck but they aren't sure, because it wasn't in there facility at the moment. Come to find it the package is "missing".. yeah more like stolen!!! Obviously someone needs to look into this facility. They have TERRIBLE people working there that think "oh a new phone! I rarely leave reviews but I have to share my recent experience with UPS and the UPS distribution center in Deerfield Beach Florida, and perhaps a warning if anyone decided to have UPS package merchandise as it appears they are running some type of a scam, at minimum with the insurance they sell to consumers. I had some art work shipped recently and most important we had this center package and insure the items. I assumed by not only purchasing insurance but having this center package the items I would avoid any issues. Package arrived damaged, I assume by mistake they placed a glass picture facing outwards and it was damaged. We proceeded to open an insurance claim and being they packaged the item I figured it would be handled. No, they rejected the claim and stated I did not save the package. I sent them numerous picture of the item and the packaging, yet they want the customer to identify the manufacturer of the box, seriously, this was a box UPS provided as they packaged the items for us. I can understand they perhaps did not package professionally but we paid for not only packaging but insurance, and they declined to address this. Do not use this distribution facility to package merchandise and be aware UPS will not honor insurance. It's somewhat shameful, I was clear to them in my 4 + calls that UPS packaged this item and I did not understand the denial! I don't understand how they can deny a claim due to packaging when it was UPS that packaged the item. Shame on UPS! read more

I ordered a Mac from Costco for express delivery. I was at home working and the delivery person never rang the door bell and he said that no one was home when the window next to the main door was opened and my 2 cars were in the driveway, I have children and my dogs bark when someone knock at the door. The first time I called they told me that the package was going to be in an access point the day after. I told them the package needed to be delivered the day that I had paid for (Friday). They told me that they were going to call me within an hour and they never did. I called Back again and they told me that they were going to contact the driver. The 3rd call they told me the driver had said he was going to delivered the package before 9PM...he never showed up. I called at 10:00PM and they told me that the package was going to be ready for pick up in the access point on Monday (today is Friday) I bought a Mac worth it $1250. Terrible, not worth it, better to use USPS! They also told me that I could track all the calls I made if I sign in in UPS.com I did and was not able to find any call I did during the last 5 hours!!! read more

This stupid company wants a photo ID with the same address that the package was being delivered. This makes ABSOLUTELY no sense. The purpose of the PHOTO ID is to verify the PERSON. I just moved to my new residence, so my GOVERNMENT ISSUED photo ID does not, as of yet, show the address the package was being shipped. This is asinine! AGAIN, the purpose of the photo ID - IS TO VERIFY THE PERSON. An individual could have several locations a package may be shipped. What if a person was having something shipped to their office, to another residence, or to a friends house - for example. I will report this to the company shipping this particular product, and I will be sure to never utilize UPS in the future, whenever possible. read more

I've had less run around from used car salesmen then I've had from the people at their Riviera Beach depot, their Deerfield Beach depot, and customer service. Promised calls never happen and phone numbers to call don't exist. Promised deliveries don't occur. I was even promised pick ups at depot where I was given a specific person to ask for. When I got there the people didn't exist and the people there could only tell me it wasn't there. The post office and definitely FEDEX are both more reliable. After reading all the reviews of the same thing that keeps happening with me at this location, I have to write a review. Is no one going to look into this place?! Of course all the phones are going missing. I ordered two iPhone 12s & the driver delivers one and Apple requires signatures thru UPS so I'm yelling out to him because he's already running to his car because I have one more package and I need to sign something and he's like no no no and heads to his car. I open the box and there's only one phone and then an hour and a half later the other says delivered. This scam is going on way too long with them. Packages don't just disappear. I steer clear of UPS. Already told Amazon multiple times to not even think about sending me a package thru UPS because they always claim they "attempted to make a delivery" or "house is the wrong address". Although no Amazon driver ever has an issue. They're lazy, incompetent, and definitely have something sketchy going on.
