Jason Russel, Dr. Decks, replaced our deck in 2025. If I could give this review 10 stars, I would!…read moreOur deck is 1,300 sq. ft, with five levels, five staircases, and a height of 15 feet - very challenging. Jason and his team, Bently and Rylan, arrived bright and early each weekday morning and worked their tails off regardless of the weather, much of which was nasty winter weather! They are all pros and just good guys to have on the property. Jason was on-site throughout the entire process and worked as hard as his guys did. His super creative design ideas, absolute perfectionism, and craftsmanship are of the highest value. He and his guys build as though it's their own home. We asked for some outside-the-box solutions, and Jason surpassed our wildest dreams. He also installed beautiful deck lighting and landscape lighting. Yes, we had to wait about six months after receiving the estimate - they're busy guys. Yes, it was expensive, but he's worth it, and much of that was our choice. You will not find higher quality deck construction in the Pacific Northwest ... probably in the U.S.! Check out @DrDecks on Instagram, YouTube, or Facebook to see their work.

Hopefully this will save people time that I ended up wasting and won't get back…read more Waited for approximately a month+ to schedule a consultation, where Jason came out to discuss the project. The consultation was ok, he seemed very into his social media and instagram. He told me he would put a quote together. I have since been ghosted. Multiple e-mails and follow ups on my end...for months...and nothing back- much like previous reviews state. It is past being an excusable delay...and I'm moving on. I'm disappointed, but also feel I dodged a bullet if this is the kind of communication I can expect from this company. Don't waste your time.

Optima did a great job replacing my old fence. I really appreciated their no-pressure approach…read moreduring their quote and how they walked me through the material options. They easily handled the hilly terrain in my yard and recommended the approach to accommodate it. They had an ample team for the tear-down and installation and even sent an office rep for a final quality control check once the job was done.

We hired Optima fence to replace our 20-year old and damaged fence with a new one - 4 ft fence,…read morecedar full panel, over difficult terrain (on top of a retaining wall/cliff), and with tree branches and vegetation along the way. Some fo the old fence posts were installed inside anchoring sleeve tubes designed to prevent damage to the retaining wall anchoring grids buried under the soil, Optima delivered an outstanding, stress-free fence installation and carefully replace the old fence posts installed in these sleeves. I was relieved. Froms start to finish the process was impeccable: Their team communicated clearly and professionally, the crew was very punctual (and thoughful) every day, they cleaned the site every day. They finished the fence installation ahead of schedule. The workmanship and materials are top notch (I am a senior and have seen multiple fence installations in my past). Billing was online, with no pressures. The crew cleaned the site at the end very thoroughly. I checked my garden and especially my driveway to make sure there where no nails nor debris were left behind that could damage my car or pets- nothing! I am very happy with their work so far. The crew will come back in the next 1-2 weeks to stain the fence on both sides. Their pricing was competitive (second lowest). I chose them because of their reviews/reputation and their BBB A/A+ rating. I would definitely hire them again.

BEAUTIFUL WORK!! We are so thrilled that we selected Father Nature Landscapes to do our landscape…read morejob - and it was a BIG JOB! We replaced a lot of lawn, they designed all new plantings, a water feature, and installed complimentary lighting. They even connected us to a curbing company without taking a percentage.... that's unheard of! Their follow through & professionalism was A+ every step of the way. We worked primarily with Joe Farkas, who was patient, very creative, honest and super hard working. The team of workers, led by Jose were wonderful! Always smiling - they were diligent, friendly and their work was impeccable. I would recommend Father Nature to anyone looking for professional landscape work. They aren't the cheapest game in town, but they are not the most expensive, by far! And you definitely get what you pay for! Thank you Father Nature - we are so excited to enjoy our new yard, front and back!!

We originally sought out FN to design around a swim spa that we were going to have installed for…read morelandscape & hardscape. We paid such a premium price for a frustrating experience: over promising and under delivering. From the timeline expectation (From start to finish approx 2 years) We had to reach out to the company consistently for updated timelines on the project. The company has also poor communication amongst each other, Which caused even further delays. We worked with James for a project manager. We appreciated his candor and usual responsiveness in the beginning. Although it wasn't uncommon for a whole month to go by with multiple unanswered emails. There was minor issues continuously, some of the major included: *The Design. Our designer was Bruno, who did a good enough job (we sent Father Nature a swim spa .pdf installation guide, so he could design around the specs) While his design was very nice, during the execution of it, modifications had to be made for functionality AND safety. We found their 3d computer rendering imaging pretty deceptive. The biggest issue here was a lot of confusion around clearance pertaining to the swim spa. (Although it was stated in the .pdf) *Our sales manager was Cameron. Concerning the cost proposal, We were shocked to spend tens of thousands more as not everything was included. While unforeseen circumstances happen, Cameron (who presented our proposal) was not detail orientated when it came to outlining what we will need to pay for to have the backyard that was proposed. Some example: Concrete base pad for the swim spa, Trenches dug, Gas line, Seating/bar area, Lighting package- some path lights were installed instead of uprights, There was Not ENOUGH lights proposed, as they did not measure it out-leaving the south side of our yard in the dark. Cameron did attempt to amend some of this pricing and adknowledged our frustration. He did add an additional 12 inches of fence for free (To mimic the 3d rendering image they presented) *Concrete work that the average eye would question and professionals would call embarrassing. Measurements that are off with an uneven result. Not smooth. *The work team was lead by Oscar, who we didn't have arising issues with. He is friendly, approachable and kept communication open while him and his team executed the project. There were days the work team was pulled away from our job to finish up other pending jobs, although I don't fault Oscar in that. *Our plants arrived earlier than the the work team were able to plant them-leaving myself to have to unexpectatily care for them. We also did have to utilize their plant replacement policy. We were initially told one year, but when we reached out, they said it was only a six month warranty. (Not ideal when these are planted fall, and some of these plants won't show until the following summer time.) A a few did not make it, including a cypress tree. We did get them replaced, but there was concern the tree didn't get enough water. (Did I mention FN did our irrigation???!) *May 2022 The irrigation was not connected. (Which I was informed by our typical irrigation company), I reached out to Father Nature to fix it. Luciano was one of the guys who did the original wiring in the fall but then we were introduced to Carl, who had to come back out to fix it in the spring. *The last pending item of our project was a seating area designed by Bruno. The concrete walls had holes in it and didn't have a "finished" look. Not being contractors ourselves, what we had to go by was that beautiful 3d rendering image plus the proposal stating: "smooth finish on exposed areas". Asking Cameron and Carrie about this type of look, they stated that the holes mean we have "strong walls" ...(Whew...I hope so?) and it was suggested we could have an epoxy paint on there for a more finished look. It was also suggested we do a "back splash". We decided to go forward with that. Father nature did some brief amending on this pricing, but it was still thousands more-another unexpected cost. *The seating area Benches, Originally discussed with Cameron, for the remainder of our project our contact person was James. James told us he took measurements and ordered brackets. Months later after radio silence, we were introduced to, yet another Father Nature employee, Chris Sheer, the president of the company. Chris' did measure. We found out brackets were never ordered. *Dec 2022 we sought out to requested a final bill from them as they went dark again. When the final invoice was sent, we noticed some of their service descriptions were not accurate with the work that was actually done. We settled on a price and on Jan 2023 we paid the final bill. We do get a lot of compliments on our yard. It has a lot of very beautiful features but we would not have taken this bumpy journey again with this company.
