We paid up front for the drawings with the opportunity to modify the plans to our needs. We decided to go with another builder and discovered that the septic field was missed in the drawings. Very bad experience and we do not recommend them for any project.

The colors and material are great! Ryan was our over-all coordinator and great at keeping us informed on our project, including scheduling, invoices and required changes. He was always our first point of contact for questions and very quick to respond. He was a really helpful person to work with. Mario was our field manager. He handled pre- and post-construction walk-throughs, including working with us on installation details and where all the materials would be staged. He was very clear on directions for us and for the deck builder. He was fabulous! Brett constructed our deck and stair railing. Because this was a small project, Masterdeck used a trusted partner, who was Brett for our project. We were so lucky! He's truly a master craftsman. His attention to detail and construction was fabulous! So many finishing touches that really make this deck perfect (example: finished corners so there no deck ends showing). Never any chaos, no rework and he answered all our questions. We really appreciated him and his skills so much. Having Brett do the work gave us confidence that we now have a high quality and beautiful deck that we can enjoy for years. He made this whole experience for us far less stressful. It was such a great experience watching this deck be created. He was truly a gem!!!

My husband and I needed to replace the decking and hand railing of our existing deck and decided to add stairs. I wish we had found Harbor Deck and Fence from the beginning! Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with our first decking contractor and had to fire them mid-project. When we reached out to Harbor Deck, they were one of the only companies willing to take on our project because another contractor has already done work. They helped us identify incorrect and unsafe work completed by the first contractor and developed a resolution plan. Both John and Adam with Harbor Deck come out to our home multiple times to provide us an accurate bid and to ensure they understood our vision for our deck. The quote was fair/reasonable for the scope of the work. Once Harbor Deck and Fence began working on our deck, they were efficient, friendly, and frequently checked in to ensure we were satisfied with their work. I have included photos to highlight their workmanship. Our hand railing is not only beautiful but extremely sturdy and safe. The decking and stairs are installed to code and provide us amazing functionality. John did a final deck walk through and quickly sent out his team to complete the few preferential adjustments we requested. I have no doubt that if an issue were to come up, Harbor Deck and Fence would stand behind their work. Again, I highly recommend their services.

Overall, Framework did good work at a reasonable price and was wonderfully communicative the whole way. I recommend them and would use them again.

Not only that, but his crew also started earlier than they said, showed up when they said and got on the project quickly and professionally. We highly recommend Waters & Wood. They are a full contracting business and we will use them for future projects. Rick and Ellyn R.

Turns out the fix didn't work, so Scott came out again, pointed out a few potential leak points, then said, "I need to think about this, and I'll get back to you." Weeks pass by, and still no word from him. I finally call him up and he tells me, "I can't find anyone who will take on such a small job, and I don't want to do it." This level of incompetence, laziness, and unwillingness to take responsibility just astounds me. Worst contractor ever.

I originally had a second-story deck that I had coated with a flexible micro cement coating, hoping for a durable, long lasting, and waterproof deck surface. The micro topping just didn't do the trick for me, I wanted something with a lot less maintenance. I decided to hire a company that specialized in vinyl deck surfaces, and went with these guys. I'm so glad I did. The estimator who came out to bid my project was very pleasant and knowledgeable , he didn't try to hard-sell me , or make me feel like I was dealing with a car salesman , which I really appreciated. The guys that came out and did the actual work were very knowledgeable. Being a general contractor and working in the construction trades off and on for 30 years I recognize quality workmanship, and I did not see anyone at any time try to cut any corners or take short cuts (I was working in my home office that week and was able to watch the job from start to finish) They were nice, and courteous whenever I went out to talk, or ask a question. They took the time to answer any question I had without making me feel like I was bothering them. I know I am a very picky person, and can be hard to please, but I will hire these guys again 4 any other vinyl decking projects I have in the future. I keep a list of companies that I use as subs, and when friends, family, or customers ask me who I recommend, these guys made the list!

Can't say enough positive things about the professionalism of Angela, Kevin and their entire crew…read more It started from the beginning with their timely response to my inquiry for an estimate for replacing an old cedar deck with a composite solution. Kevin showed up on the day and time he said he would (which is such a frustrating battle in and of itself with so many contractors these days), asked a ton of questions to really understand the intricacies of the project, and provided a fair and timely estimate for the work. You could tell from the first conversation that they're a professional group of people who take their work seriously and are passionate about showing up in the right way and letting the work speak for itself. It really boils down to consistent, clear and timely communication when you're paying for such a large project. You want to know that you're on the same page, provided with timely and consistent updates, consulted with, etc. This is where A.K. really shines. Dave and the entire deck crew were fantastic as well. They showed up every day when they said they would, were always extremely clear and concise with updates, suggestions and any questions they ran into where I needed to consult. Those consistent behaviors are just so critical in providing an excellent customer service experience, and it's rare to find BOTH high quality craftsmanship and work AND consistently great customer service. They just get it, and if you're reading these reviews right now, that's precisely what you want to read because you know how frustrating that can be when you're trying to find a contractor who will even simply respond to your inquiry and questions. I'm proud to recommend and refer them. I couldn't be happier with the final result.

He listened to all of our ideas and incorporated all of them to a tee. And the best part was the reasonableness of his price. He is very fair in his price estimate. FFD was definitely the best value (we had 4 other bids and his was the best).
