Came in on a Friday night and it was absolutely packed! Line out the door and after trying it, I see why! Both the food quality and customer service are top-notch. The dough is freshly made and you can immediately taste the difference You can order pizza by the slice or a full pie, or even get half-and-half if you want different toppings! Everything here was amazing, but the house pizza was a showstopper for me, along with the garlic knots! I feel like those are worth mentioning because a lot of times garlic knots are overly oily and kind of mushy, but these were perfectly baked; crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside I also really enjoyed the decor/ambience of this place. It really made me feel like I was in a New York subway station, but much cleaner lol! I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area!

If you're looking for the best bang for your buck in Temecula, Upper East Slice is it They've got a classic two slices and and a soda combo, and the value for the quality is seriously hard to beat. The pizza is easily some of the best I've had around here. On top of that, the staff were all really welcoming and friendly, and the place was clean, which always matters. Great price, great food, great experience. Definitely worth it.

We have eaten here for years. They have amazing food. We love to pick from the slices that are already pre made instead of buying a whole pizza. The white mushroom pizza is so good! There's alot of choices for pizza. It's probably the best pizza in town I have had. Great staff, the place is always clean and very nice people.

Been in California since 2000. Coming from New Jersey my pizza standards are extremely high. Upper East Slice in Temecula has matched those standards and is the best pizza I've had in California. Crazy that it took 26 years to find a good pizza spot. Fuhgetaboutit

After two winery visits, decided to continue the trend and uncork a bottle of Zinfandel and pickup a pie from Upper East Slice. Got a medium half-and-half of Pepperoni/Cheese and Veggies/Cheese. Once home fired up the oven, inserted our stone, and placed the pizza on top to slightly crisp the dough while reheating. Absolutely delicious A little crushed red pepper, Parmesan cheese and Tabasco! Lit the fireplace and streamed a thriller movie

Guess this place changed hands about a year ago, and I absolutely love the upgrade. They still offer a great lunch special--any choice pizza, even the Sicilian, with 2 slices and a drink for just $9. On weekends, the price goes up to $10.50, but it's still a fantastic deal. The service was wonderful, and I went with the cheese slice and a ricotta, basil, and tomato slice, which was absolutely delish! Overall, a great spot to enjoy good pizza at a great price. Really cute ambiance felt more open than the last restaurant

They have a nice lunch special for 2 slices of pizza with a drink for $9. They have a good varieties of pizza to choose from; they have one with hot honey drizzled on top. I do like their pepperoni with sausage as well. They also have a small selection of salads and garlic knots to try. The wait time is not long, seating can get limited and the place is clean.

I gotta say that this is a really good New York pizza spot for you if you're in the area and want the thin crispy and buttery bread that comes with the New York style Like everyone else says the best deal in town for nine dollars you could get two large slices and a drink. There are many pizza places that cater towards the experience or the different unique flavors and I would just say that this place is a no-frills get your pizza and scarf it down and enjoy it. I will say the upper east slice is really well decorated on point with New York subway decor with all the nice amenities. Surface was good and quick. I got the buffalo chicken and I got the house special overall I enjoyed the buffalo chicken more. I wish I got maybe a pepperoni or a regular slice with mushroom because it was good but at the same time wish the slices were hotter and a little bit more cheese. Nothing to complain about with the crust and everything that they put together is really well done.

Family and I have been here over a dozen times, every time the pizza has been great and the lady that works the counter has been patient kind. I hope they thrive and grow.

Updated! So clean! Delicious We will be back! Get the calzone! Great crunch! So moist either way ricotta and mozzarella inside! I added double pepperoni and mushrooms. It came with marinara on the side. Ask for hot marinara! If not it comes with a chilled one. Lots of pizza choices to get by the slice. Fountain drinks, and drinks ready to buy in the fridge. My husband loved his crispy salad and loves the Italian dressing. My daughter loved the yummy ranch. Tastes homemade. I would totally recommend eating here! We will be back! Under new ownership. They updated a ton! Restroom look gorgeous and high end. Good music playing. Owner making the pizzas!

I went to the grand opening tonight for the best pizza I've ever had in my life! The atmosphere inside is so swanky and hip! You can buy pizza by the slice which is the best and they have so many to choose from so you can choose all your favorite giant slices for dirt cheap. I was full after one slice. You absolutely must stop in here or door dash it won't disappoint!! The Staff, the pizza, the atmosphere, the price 5 stars hands down The owner was there and his family they were so kind! We had a late night craving and the pizza passed the fold test. We're from jersey so it's hard to meet our expectations. Every slice was delicious. This is our new go to spot! Stopped in for a quick slice and got the buffalo chicken pizza, WOW! This is hands down best New York style pizza around. The flavors were on point and the crunch on the crust was perfect. Service was friendly and restaurant was very clean. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors of pizza. Great job! I highly recommend this spot if you're a pizza lover. read more

Our new go-to for family pizza night! We've lived in the area for well over a decade so we've tried just about every pizza place that has come and gone, including all the chains/franchises. We decided to give this one a try and it was DELICIOUS! We ordered the white pizza and the deluxe pizza. The food was hot and ready when we did our in-store pick up. The crust was fluffy and the cheese was very good! No pizza place seems to be less than $20+/- these days so it's certainly not what I would buy for a soccer team or big teenager party (unless you're flush with discretionary funds in this economy; if so, then go for it)! But, for a nice dinner with the family to watch a movie, game night, or even just an elevated pizza experience for a night in with your spouse, this is the place I would recommend. read more

Ordered an 18" half and half specialty pizza online. Half meat lovers and half chicken pesto. The order was ready for pick up right on time and still hot. Crust was tasty and crispy, NOT burnt at all. I liked both sides but the meat lovers edged out for me. There was a good amount of meat without being overload and heartburn inducing. The chicken pesto was good too but I wish there was a little more pesto. I'll have to request it next time. The chicken was a bit dry but that's to be expected from the pizza oven. I wish the price was a bit cheaper but it's better than the other NY pizza place in town! read more

Love the pepperoni pizza. The staff is kind and works hard to serve their customers. The meatballs need a serious overhaul, however. I recommend they use a different recipe if they are actually made in house. They don't taste like they are made in house. The pizza, though, is delicious. The crust is excellent. Also, the shop is a pleasant place to hang out. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to check out this Pizza Spot since we just moved here a couple months ago. Let me tell you, we saw that the reviews were good, but we didn't think the Pizza would be THIS good. We opted for half bbq/half buffalo to try the best of both worlds and it was PERFECT. I have never been a big fan of pizza. About 5 years ago I found a little place in Vista with the best Brooklyn style pizza and the coolest owner. After about 2 years of going there with my kids, the owner decided to sell and move out of state. I have not enjoyed pizza since then. Until I was out running errands one day and came across this place that sold pizza by the slice. I was starving so I went in. The pizza was AMAZING and the closest I will ever find to my old spot. The staff were very friendly and told me about every pizza they had available. They have at least 10 options of pizza by the slice. Their lunch special is 2 slices and a drink for only $9. I'd say this is our #2 pizza spot after Bottega Italia in Old Town. Bottega's more traditional Italian, better ingredients, better dough IMO. UES is a good slice, but NY? I don't know about that... the water is the trick up in NYC... same goes for the bagels up there. The $9 special for two slices and a drink is a great deal tho... we'll be back for that. The garlic knots weren't bad... a bit doughy and barely warm. I'd say they're still getting their legs under them here. We'll give them another shot in a month or two. read more

Stopped in for their grand opening. Lots of slice options! More than any over place I've ever been to. We grabbed a pepperoni slice, a pepperoni jalapeno and pineapple slice, and a deluxe slice. All three were great. The best part was the crust, very New York like crust that not a lot of places can pull off. The place was a zoo cause it was so busy during their grand opening but all the staff was on it and friendly. I will be going back for sure! read more

When Bongiorno's closed last year I was heartbroken. I'm from New Jersey and Pizza is Life So when I saw that the sons had reopened it under a new name and vibe, I was super stoked to have the only REAL pizza in Temecula Got a 18" Pepperoni and a Calzone and soooooo good. Well, Temecula has several pizza spots that are great, but, upper east slice is amazing! Just as good as secret pizza in Las Vegas. You wouldn't think a pizza place would be good in Temecula/southwest Riverside area, considering ourselves lucky to have this place! Please go to this spot and keep our local spot going! Good pizza. Service, not so good. I ordered a Margarita pizza, picked it up, got home, pizza had no basil on it. I called the shop back, and they told me if I drive back over with the pizza, they could give me some basil. WTF? Pizza really only has 2 ingredients tomato & BASIL. I'm Sick of not getting what I pay for, and no I didn't drive back with the pizza for some basil. read more

Wow! This pizza joint was on point! They must've transported the water from NYC to this spot. The dough was buttah and the flavor was amazing! You walk in and its concrete jungle dreams are made of in the streets of Temecula 79 ;-) Straight delicious and worth the stop on your way to the desert oasis or wine valley my SoCal Snowbirds ;-) read more

FINALLY A GREAT PIE IN TEMECULA!! Being a family that lived many years in Philadelphia, this pizza is the closest thing to East coast pizza around here. The staff is very nice and helped me out quickly. They remodeled the inside and gave this pizza shop a much needed facelift. Most importantly, this pizza has the perfect crust, perfect amount of cheese, perfect amount of crisp.. it is perfect and this will be our go to spot. Bongiornos will be missed, but this place is beyond filling their shoes. read more

OMG! The pizza crust is amazing, light and crisp. Fast service for slices, and plenty of choices to pick from- I got one with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, green peppers and onions. And a regular pepperoni slice with drink, both were the best in Temecula all under $10. Totally try this place! read more

I'm so happy that the owners of Upper East Slice are the sons of the owners of the former pizzeria Bongiorno's. The pizza, Stromboli, garlic knots, and cannolis we ordered today were absolutely delicious! The new store front is very nice and we like the clever name they chose for the new place as well. The food is just as good as our beloved Bongiorno's and we will always be faithful patrons for sure. I should also note that we're from New York and so this pizzeria is very reminiscent of home for us. read more

Both slices were delicious and still nice and warm when I got them back to my hotel. The location is a little small. It is a good vibe though, and seemed to be a little busy when I walked in. Good slices, friendly staff, good vibes.

Wow wow wow Not in a good way…read more... How do you buy one of the best pizza places within miles and turn it into this? You changed the sauce, the crust and the cheese! You had the best, must flavorful crust with the nicest sauce around and topped with great high quality cheese. You even had tomato slices in the sauce, under the cheese. This tastes like something from the freezer section at the store. The dinner salad is still pretty good but that only goes so far. If you need to raise prices, do so, but cutting out the quality ingredients that made you the best pizza around for more than 25 years was just not smart move. We have absolutely no reason to ever come back here again, to a place we've always loved.... Very sad (I've never left pizza on a plate here)

As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage. After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino. Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was quiet lovely; aroma and depth of flavors was perfect with the fromagé ...love!! After the lunch, a stroll around the grounds to see more vineyards, felt the breeze on a hot day was nice. Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle. In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service. Service from the staff members were all courteous, helpful and just wonderful, All was amazing, Cheers!!Recommend

I was able to make a reservation on our celebratory date on the phone and read up on what makes Quiero Brunch so special. All of our gals loved the vibrant and welcoming space they made here (also because they decked it out in PINK) and we absolutely devoured their handcrafted drinks and house-made dishes with colorful ingredients. The hostess already knew of our party's arrival and that we were celebrating a bachelorette, so they had our long table already prepped and in the outdoor shade as well. Our party of 9 shared a lot of our dishes, so I got to enjoy a little bit of everything. For myself, I got a shaken Horchata de coco Latte $9, and the Queso Birria Plate $19. My tacos were loaded with birria and an amazing chipotle sauce, and the side of consome was what leveled it up. The gals would awe every time their drink order came to the table, just by the fun toppings and colors. They loved the La Flaca $13, El Jefe (Mezcal) $14, Guava Strawberry Margarita $16, and more. They are just so fun here! We got for the table the Chicharrón, Chips and Guac $18 and Mini Pan Conchitas $10 to share. Everything, and I mean everything was delicious! We left no crumbs. The prices are pretty reasonable for their portion size and I think every gal enjoyed themselves! Multiple staff members came to check on us and bring us our food, and all of them were great to talk to and helped us decide on our drinks or food orders. They really do treat you with great hospitality here and try to make a connection - we felt so welcome and taken care of! We recently tried Upper East Slice in Temecula after my granddaughter Amayah told us about it--one of her classmate's family owns the place, and we always love supporting local businesses. I'm so glad we did! We ordered garlic knots, buffalo wings, cheese pizza, chicken bacon ranch pizza, and BBQ chicken pizza--and every single thing was absolutely amazing. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. They accidentally added buffalo sauce to our chicken bacon ranch pizza, but honestly--it was sooo good we didn't even mind! They felt so bad about it that they made us another pizza to take with us, which was completely above and beyond. You can really tell they care about their customers and the food they serve.
