I called for two days and left messages requesting a call back for an appointment. No one ever called back. While driving by one day I stopped in to see about an appointment in person we are speaking to the owner she informed me that she got my messages in a very nonchalant way but she didn't call back because she didn't have any openings. Now I am sorry but I think it's only proper business that if somebody calls you you called back even if you don't have any openings on say Tuesday off for me opening when you do have one don't just not respond. Then when I said are we really that busy her response was I am the best in the area I am always that busy. I am sorry but when somebody responds to me in such a cocky manner and clearly does not have any regard for my business as a customer I refuse to ever return back to the salon. If I have to drive all the way down to The Bronx to get my hair done or New Jersey from here on out I will do that but I refuse to give my heart and money to somebody who doesn't value my business. I've regularly spent two or three times as much at high end salons in Manhattan with senior stylists/colorists. Well, I'm so happy that I've found Alla, seriously an amazing colorist and stylist, at By George in Monroe. She cut my hair exactly like I wanted and my color is the best it's ever been (single process with a few highlights). She gave me a perfect balance of warm and sunny, blond-ish, natural looking color. The only real thing I miss from fancier salons is the method of hair washing, a favorite few minutes usually. Here it was efficient but no mini head massage included. A plus though, is that the hair washing station chairs and sinks are very comfortable. If you have neck problems, you'll appreciate this a lot. The bottom line, and what really matters, is the great cut and color! I really recommend you give Alla a try. Also, they use great products. My hair feels and looks so much healthier now.

I looked online to see who would take me the same day or at least the next day and I landed at the "Creative Touch Salon." Maureen is very professional hairstylist. She is patient and takes her time to understand your needs and the hairstyle you like. I have had several bad experiences with braids or extensions where the braids were too tight so I took them out the same night, the next day or within 3 days. I went to a different stylist prior to Maureen and although the ladies were very nice, the box braids were huge, not what I wanted and my head hurt so bad I had migraines and sores in my scalp that began to puss. I didn't last 4 days with them and took them out. I have had similar experiences with extensions too tight or they irritated my scalp, where my scalp was tender. Maureen took her time and she allowed me to express my concerns and questions. She explained the hair I needed to buy, and her technique for styling the hair. I didn't want to be a nag, but in my nervousness I asked a thousand questions and I had contacted her a few times about the style. However, she answered all my questions in stride without hesitation. Since I have been going, she always answers politely without getting upset with me. She is awesome. I love my hair and it is going on 4 weeks. I have washed and conditioned my hair, and it still looks wonderful. My hair is growing quickly so I will have to get this redone soon. I am so pleased. I have no sores, no irritation on my scalp, no dandruff, no migraines, I can easily wash my hair and scalp and I am so delighted I took a chance and went to this stylist. I also made a new friend.
