Perhaps I will purchase something!' So I went in. There was a young woman. I believe she said her name was Mariah. She does facials. I explained why I was there and politely asked if I could check out the beauty products. She said nothing to indicate that I couldn't but stayed in the room scrutinizing me the entire time. Granted, she probably feared that I would steal something. I asked about a product that wasn't priced and hastily she told me that she didn't know the price and couldn't sell anything because it wasn't her merchandise. I told her that I would leave because I knew I was making her uncomfortable. I decided I would purchase something that was priced and probably would have purchased the item I inquired about. I left. Guess what?!? This young woman made me, a customer willing to make a purchase, VERY uncomfortable. She should have explained, politely, mind you, from the beginning that she couldn't sell the merchandise to me! Mariah, had a very subtle but definitive undertone of impatience. Had I been able to make the purchase, I wouldn't be writing this review. This doesn't shine any light on this business for sure. Someone needs to speak to this young woman about proper etiquette pertaining to customer service. Hence, I will never set foot in this salon again, nor do I recommend anyone else do so. At least not while this young woman is there alone. It's a very tiny shop. She told me she was there cleaning. Well then, why open the shop? Not impressed!! Definitely NOT!! BAD vibe!!

This was the first time in 32 yrs that a hairdresser listened, heard me and followed what I wanted. Gwen is THE BEST!!! I got my hair done before going on vacation in October and it came out PERFECT! Gwen was so kind, conversation was easy and she SLAYED! With over 20 years experience, she is an expert color mix artist, she knew exactly how to get the color I was looking for (which was unavailable via book) I cut over 10 inches off so I was pretty nervous about it but it came out great!!! I didn't even cry, which usually always happens when I sacrifice any real length. The salon is right on the main strip of Goshen so easy to find, lots of parking nearby and very comfortable.

Jess is a good listener, and did a wonderful job making my desired look into reality. I showed her some photos, she proposed a few options, I selected one, and she took the lead. I got permanent hair dye (originally had virgin hair) and hair cut for about $120 including tip. I consider this a fair price when compared with NYC salon prices. When I got there I was super impressed. The studio has a great decor and a cozy charm. Upon arriving I was greeted by the owner Tina who welcomed me in, introduced herself and offered me a cup of coffee. I knew instantly that I was going to have a good experience there. I was right. Donna did an excellent job on my color and cut and was great to chat with. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is inviting and the owner and staff make you feel right at home. The second time I came for a haircut which is listed on her website at $40. I asked if she could use purple shampoo because I'm a blonde and she said no- she needed it for other clients. She charged me $55 for the haircut. A little communication can go a long way and due to her poor people skills I will not see her again. We didn't "discuss" anything about my hair color I asked for foil highlights she did a balayage no foil. There was no consultation she just started doing what she wanted. My hair is one inch past my shoulders, if you want to charge me extra because it's "so long and thick" that's no problem but you should definitely inform your client before the service that you are charging them so much extra. Any other salon I've been to has always offered purple shampoo when washing a blonde, I didn't want to change my tone, I understand what a toner does,I have always been offered purple shampoo when having my hair washed professionally.
