The owner Kathy is such a wonderful woman who truly prides herself in making her clients feel their absolute best. The atmosphere of the salon is always welcoming as the staff are all beyond kind and it is very clean and well kept. Fabulous salon which I highly recommend! We were in the area from out of state for a wedding and I was so fortunate to have found this salon. The Yelp reviews were spot on. Kathy, the owner, did an amazing job on my Mother's hair and she received so many compliments on it. Kathy and the team were so nice and genuine. I had booked a wash and blow dry but Kathy found my mom's hair needed to be reshaped as well and squeezed that in for us. I wish we lived in the area so we would be regulars. Coming to this salon was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Long story short, I decided to box dye my medium blonde hair platinum blonde at home and completely damaged my hair. My roots were literally three different colors. They were white around my face, bright yellow on top of my head, and dark blonde (the natural color of my roots). Also, there was random patches of bleach all over my head ( the picture doesn't even do justice lol). It was a disaster but thankfully Kathy, the owner saved me! She transformed my hair completely and my hair couldn't have come out better. My experience at Shear Intensity was amazing and Kathy truly knows how to take care of her customers and how to run a business. I cannot thank her enough. Had my very first appointment with Jenna today and I'm so happy!! Jenna made me feel so comfortable, talking me through every step of my haircut. I went in with shoulder length hair and came out with a longer pixie! My friends all love it as much as I do! The price topped it off; thought a beautiful salon with such a talented stylist would cost a fortune and the final cost was incredibly reasonable. Love Jamie! She is an amazing colorist and hair stylist. I'm so glad I found her when I moved up here from Long Island as the options around here are so limited. They do really need to give her, her own space considering she brings in so much business and is amazing at what she does! This comes from someone who is SUPER particular and has extremely high expectations. They always offer coffee and light snacks which is nice. The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes it does get REALLY noisy and while I understand a hair salon isn't the most professional place, some of the people who work there should be mindful of the things coming out of their mouth. This is my favorite salon by far. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and talented. The baked goods and fresh coffee are a nice touch. I love Aimee, she always does an awesome job. She is the best stylist and I get the most compliments after I see her. Shear Intensity is conveniently located right on 9w and the cafe across the street is awesome. This place is amazing! I went on a whim because I got a few hours away from my kids and they fit me right in. I was able to get my toes done. They served me wine and cheese and great conversation. I was always afraid to dye my hair or try new styles but I'm not anymore because I know whatever I choose to do Jamie will make it look amazing.
