Entered the salon and was welcomed warmly. Prior to my cut the stylist did not ask for reference pictures. Had to ask the stylist if she'd like to see reference photos prior to starting. Asked her if she could tell what the previous stylist did and she said yes. Told her "perfect, please just mimic that and cut off 1.5-2 inches" During the cut the stylist never adjusted my middle part to make sure everything was center prior to cutting. Didn't question it since she said she was from a very famous high end salon close to NYC and had been a stylist since 2009. The end shape was kinda like the photos so I didn't say anything at the time. The next night after I washed my hair I noticed a section of hair that was longer than it should have been. Brushed it off but then kept thinking how the stylist never checked to make sure her cuts/layers were even. Checked to see if things were even tonight and was horrified. The front of the cut is definitely not even. Can't speak to the back since that's not easy for me to see. Highly disappointed bc I went with a stylist that was highly reviewed on their appointment booking app. read more

My hair stylist Kayla really took the time to teach me how to do my hair. I have been seeing her for years and love how she does my hair and then a week later left up to myself I feel dull again. She heard me with out judgement and walked me through a simple practical routine with all of the steps and products (my hair is very frizzy and oily at the same time) and then literally proceeded to show me and then let me curl my hair so that I get the technique of it. This Salon is wonderful! Clean, adaptable if 10 minutes late (very rare!) kind service, great products. Meant to get more done but to be honest - starting crying. Anniversary of mom death. So kind they kept working - didn't make me feel bad, and understood when wanted to leave without blow out, to walk Long Dock Park. Wish I could recall name of kind lady who worked on me, but book an appointment. Can color, cut, style, oleplex (sp) treatments for fine hair. Has it all - does all hair related cuts and colors. So glad I checked out B. Hair Studio! I've been coloring my hair for years bouncing around from place to place never leaving truly satisfied. Anyone else feel like you can always get great highlights or a chic cut but never both from the same person? Or if you can you can't afford to eat for a couple days afterwards? Ryan listened to what I liked about my past cuts and colors and provided his own professional opinions also. I was super pleased with how much yellow we were able to extract from my blonde hair in just one session and love my layers and angles. AND all in less than two hours. I really hate spending hours on end in a salon chair, so I really appreciated that! It's very tiny, but Ashley is worth it! I have been hopping around for years, never satisfied with results. I asked my friend where she had her color correction because it was amazing how she fixed the mistake of her previous hairdresser. My son just moved to this area and wanted his hair bleached. Looking at the reviews I felt it would be a great place for him to get this done. Being a 18 year old he really isn't knowledgeable about color. I about died when he faced timed me. I couldn't believe they would allow someone to walk out of their salon looking like he did. The sides were white with a brassy stripe right down the center of his head. He looked like a skunk. I made him go back in for them to fix it. Now he is light platinum on sides and darker platinum stripe down the middle of his head. He was so uncomfortable to go back in again because he is a quiet kid and doesn't like confrontation so he just left. I couldn't believe he paid $200 for this color job. I would be very careful if you are thinking about getting your color done here. Over priced for what you get. Now he has to go somewhere else and pay to fix it. read more

I've been getting my hair done by Ryan for four years. He recently opened a new Salon and i'm elated about it! The location is ideal and the Salon is delightful. I moved to Beacon from San Diego, CA and was petrified over the idea of having to find a new hair person. My hair is about as complex as it gets. It's long, very thick, and the crown of my head is now naturally not just grey but white. I have lost most the pigment in my hair despite the fact that I'm still in my 30's. So not only do i have a ton of hair, it has to be dyed and highlighted regularly. If you know us California girls, this is a matter that must be done right and perfectly. We take our hair very seriously. Ryan wasn't the first I tried in Beacon but definitely was the last. After my first appointment with him I immediately knew my search was over.
