I do not recommend getting a haircut here. Not worth the price tag. I went in thinking my trim (1.5" off the bottom) would qualify as a basic cut. No. It cost $75 because I have curly hair. She said it's because it takes more time but I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. The stylist didn't even blow dry it all the way or style it. My daughter who is 4 months pregnant was visiting us and wanted a pre natal massage. We booked a 1:30pm Sunday, June 13 appointment here because they advertised a pre natal massage. At 10:30am we were asked if we could make a Noon appointment and we switched our day to accommodate that change. Upon arriving, the lights in the salon were off and we thought it was closed. My daughter checked in and then proceeded to wait 1/2 hour because the room wasn't ready. During that time she wasn't offered any refreshment nor were the lights turned on. The massage therapist knew she was pregnant yet asked her to roll on her stomach. And when asked if there were any pillows so she could lay down on her side, the therapist said that the prenatal pillows were in pieces and her boss wasn't there and so didn't get them or figure out how to put them together to use. That is unacceptable service, unprofessional and downright dangerous to ask a pregnant woman to lay down on their belly when they are 4 months pregnant. Was this therapist licensed? Did she even known how to give a prenatal massage? Why is it listed as a service if clearly no one knew how to offer a prenatal massage? Terrible just terrible. If it was me, I would've walked out. My daughter is more pleasant and paid for the service which was over a hundred dollars. At first it just looks like a hair salon, but in the back they have rooms for massages, facials and other treatments. Everything is pristine clean, nicely decorated and perfect to relax. Phillip gave me one of my best massages. Very professional. With a stressful lifestyle, and hard to relax she managed to make me relax. Also got a facial with Allison. I was in town for a wedding and got a last minute appointment for a mani/pedi here. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful in finding the right look for my weekend of events. Amethyst did a really beautiful job. She realized right away that my color selection would not have enough left to provide a smooth look and she got me back on track with a better color instead of thinning it out or skipping a coat like other places. She then took her time and made it perfect! Its been weeks and my toes still look gorgeous. Yes, it was more expensive but she did a far better and lasting job than I am used to so it was worth it. read more

I'm from out of state and was looking for a good local spot for facials. The esthetician was sweet but I asked for a classic facial upon appointment. when the esthetician asked me in the room what I wanted I said I frequently get facials so you can use the most intense product that is optional. In the past when I've said that I was given the product within the price wage I had requested when scheduling the appointment or was told other products were an upgrade. I was upgraded but not made aware of it until the end when I went to pay. To my surprise the facial was an additional $40 more then I had been quoted originally. It's not good business practice to charge clients more without any forewarning. Also, when the product was settling on my face the esthetician left the room for 5 minutes. in my past facials, when product was settling, the esthetician would do neck, shoulder, back, and arm massage. I came here as a bridesmaid last weekend and had my hair done by Chessie. She was so sweet and nice, did an amazing job with my hair and we all left happy (bride included). I asked for a complicated french braid thing which she had never done, but I was so so happy with her work (she worked off of screengrabs on my phone) and it stayed basically perfect and in place for 3 days! The salon owner also baked us banana bread and gave us mimosas, it was such a nice experience in a situation that I'm sure can be quite hectic for both salons and bridal parties. I'll start by saying that this place is very nice inside. You come in and can have some fruit water while you wait to be seen. I came in to get a half up/half done hairstyle for a wedding. No highlights, no haircut, just some curling and a braid which took 45min to do. It came out very nice but cost me $120 (before tip). To me, that's way overpriced! They said it was $30 extra because I asked to have my hair washed before styling. That's ridiculous. I've had a full haircut and styling done for way cheaper at far more pleasant places. At 3:00 when I arrived my stylist had just began cutting another customer's hair. I was not contacted to be notified of the delay, nor was I provided with an update during the hour I was sitting waiting for my service. Then I had a shellac manicure (can't recall manicurist's name) which seemed ok (although I had to wait 40minutes for a manicurist) but as I looked later I could see she didn't paint the corners very well. I got a massage there yesterday. If I was only reviewing the massage, I'd give it 5 stars. It was truly the best massage I've ever had. The mani pedi on the other hand were sub par. I got a gel mani and a regular pedi, it cost $70 for both services. That is about $20 more than I'd usually pay in the area. Already my toes are chipped and my nails are peeling. There was no great massage that came with either service... My hands weren't even dipped in warm water or given warm towels. For the price, I'd expect a lot more. That being said, the girl who did them was very personable. Maybe she's inexperienced? Or maybe they don't use quality polish? Not sure, but I'll never go there for my nails again. read more

I arrived on-time for my hair-cut and the person I was originally going to see was sick, so they had to fit me in with someone else. I didn't mind this, I understand stuff happens. But, after I waited for a half-hour, the hairstylist I wound up seeing seemed to not care less about me. After I had my hair washed, I was forgotten about while having it dried in the other room and I had to come out to remind them I was there. My stylist, a younger blonde, spent the entire time she was "working" on my hair talking about how she desperately needed to send money to her boyfriend, including asking me if I knew anything about Western Union. No, I don't, and I'd rather you just pay attention to my hair. I asked for long layers in my hair, and to have the split ends trimmed. She barely took a quarter-inch off my hair, and the split ends remained in some portions. She hardly cut my hair at all. Won't be back. read more

I was a former client at Salon Arje for years, hated the atmosphere and went back to this place in Fishkill called Dazzles which has now closed it's Fishkill location. I decided to give this salon another try because I love location. When I called Gianetta I asked for the the best colorist they had. I got Melissa who has been there for 6 years.
