I've been here many times over the past few years. I live out of state but go with my mom when I'm in town visiting. It's very important to me that the place is clean, plays relaxing music, and smells good - if a salon smells like the awful chemicals they use, I can't take it. We usually get regular pedicures and either regular or gel manicures. The nail techs always do an excellent job - thorough and precise. My mom has extremely short nails which she bites and they are kind and help her feel less embarrassed as they care for her hands and teach her to do better herself. It's a little pricey compared to my home state salon but I think it's standard for this area. There are many good reasons that keep me returning as does Mom who eschewed salons for years due to self-consciousness about her nails. Keep up the great job, Uponavon! read more

My daughter brought me to Uponavon Nail Spa for Mother's Day today. She has been going here for awhile now and had only great things to say about it. I am very picky, but I must say, it was an incredible experience! My gel spa pedicure was fabulous followed by a relaxing 10 minute massage by Peter! They don't take you on time then rush you through the appt with three different nail techs. I had a 2:00 appt and they didn't take me until 2:40 and done by 3:00. The filing & shaping was mediocre. This is the second time I've tried and I won't be back. read more

The salon is absolutely beautiful and clean. They are thorough, however, I did not leave happy with the nails I received. I had asked for a simple square filed nail. And what I received was awful! I received one side that was round, the other that was square, and cut much too short. I was excited to have nice nails for vacation but instead am disappointed. Not likely to return. read more

I really don't like this nail place. I come in for pedicure when I visit family this was my third and last time. I had to ask my guy (nail tech)to put on gloves on. When I did they got very upset. Then threatened me if I wanted them to put on gloves they would have to get someone else to do my nails. I politely said that's ok, made they have latex allergy. NO ONE SHOULD BB PREFORMING ANY SERVICE IN /ON YOUR BODY GLOVE FREE.Then my pedi was rushed and I was left in the chair. Not escorted to dryers nothing. Anyone coming good luck. Went for a pedicure. The salon was a mess in the pedicure area with stuff everywhere, my pedicure felt very rushed and the nail tech looked miserable and when I asked her a question she became annoyed like she couldn't be bothered. Pedicure is sloppy and not an even paint job. And the guy giving the free back massage at the end was so rough even after I asked him to go easier. read more

Service requested After much researching of various nail salons to visit while in CT, I bumped into Uponavon. Reviews were great so I had to go check it out for myself. It's my birthday so why not spoil myself. I walked in and initially thought I'd get a UV gel but after chatting with the young lady I went with a powder manicure and green tea spa pedicure. Customer service was top tier! Very friendly from the moment I walked in and I loved that everyone is taking mask and gloves precautions. Quality My nails turned out adorable and very well done but one of my most favorite things has to be the green tea pedicure! The pedicure was so relaxing and the young lady took her time. The last few times I've been and had an appointment I've still had to wait for 35-40 minutes. This time the technician also drew blood when she was doing the pedicure and I have a deep cut from it. The best part of the visit was the massage. My pedicure is smudged and not well done and I have a cut on my foot after waiting for a long time with an appointment. I called and stopped here on a whim, knowing my feet are a mess and in need! They took me right in and sat me with Lin and she was absolutely lovely! I choose the green tea spa and the massage and whole pkg was very nice and relaxing. I would totally recommend this one to anyone. They were busy but not overwhelmingly so and have beyond ample space and staff to handle a large group or many independent customers. I would think this place would be great for bridal/birthday/girls night and other misc group outings. As I was sat to dry my polished toe nails, I asked if they had time to do a polish change on my nails and they said no problem we got you. I got seated with Lin again which made me very happy, so I decided to just do a simple manicure as I brought my own polish, again she did a great job and was so simple and easy. read more

got a gel pedicure here recently, and honestly, it could be better. Very relaxed and clean environment all instruments were sterilized. Unfortunately the outcome and caretaking for my pedicure was not to my satisfaction. The color came out "stripy"--even though it's a gel. very rushed - in my opinion! I had never visited Uponavon Nail Spa, but my daughter goes there often. I accompanied her one day to have a "Spa Day" together and had an excellent experience there. They did exactly what I asked for. At Christmastime, I purchased a gift card for my daughter, and they had an excellent offer that gave you more for your money, i.e., $120 worth of services for $100. I went in for a pedicure and I cannot say enough good things. Upon entering the salon is bright, clean and aestheticly pleasing. They took me right away, great color selection and I was offered water upon sitting down. I chose the cucumber pedicure for $50 and it did not disappoint. The attention to detail shaping my nails, the scrub, the hot stones, the 10 minute foot massage, the paraffin wax on my heels he really did it all.
