Today was my first visit to VIP Nail & Spa and I had a great experience. I was treated warmly throughout the entire experience, and the manicure and pedicure were wonderful. I upgraded my pedicure to include a foot massage and also received a back massage while my fingernails were drying- both very relaxing! Went in for my first time to get a pedicure and I was very happy with my experience! They have non toxic nail color options which was very nice considering I went in with my 2 kids. They weren't busy so they let my kids sit on their massage chairs while they watched a show and it was a very pleasant experience for everyone! My nails are shaped and colored literally perfectly. As a first timer at Elegance Nail Spa, I must rave about the great experience I had...and not to mention I left the salon in one hour feeling like a brand new woman with perfectly painted nails on both my hands and feet! I originally called 90 minutes before closing to inquire about a gel pedicure because my go-to salon was closed and I was in desperate need of some foot loving after a long weekend of spring cleaning activities. Elegance Nail gladly told me to come on in. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and taken right to a pedicure chair with a hot foot bath waiting for me. They had a good selection of both regular and gel colors, which I took forever to choose from (I'm indecisive!). After looking at my hands, I figured I'd ask if they *might possibly* have time to also do a gel manicure and to my genuine surprise, they happily agreed to do so. So, like a queen, while enjoying my pedicure in the massage chair, they quickly got to work on my manicure, as well. I really enjoyed the fact that they paid attention to how my nails were filed, made sure to paint every inch of my nails on both my hands and feet without my having to ask (some places sadly need to be told) and I received the best leg massage(s)! I love this place. Never had a bad experience. I have been coming here for at least 3 years. Folks here are super nice, respectful and sweet. Very nice, clean and specious place. Older gentleman who take care of the pedicure mostly.... do amazing feet and leg massage. Another thing I like is that; I don't have to give tip in cash. You can add tip when you are doing the payment. I don't carry cash with me at all so places where they require cash only tip - I avoid. read more

She did an ok job, but not what I asked for. Before coming in, I called and asked if they do acrylic, the woman said yes, I then asked for the price, of a pink and white ACRYLIC set ($50). Then when I came in, I once again confirmed that same info. It wasn't until she filed down my nails that she started with the gel, not acrylic. She then proceed to making me bake my hands for each nail, I asked if she could just do 1 hand at a time (like everyone else does) so that I'm not sitting with my hands baking the entire time and she said no. I brought the acrylic thing up before I left, and she told me that she doesn't do acrylic due to the smell! Very disappointed, will definitely not come back. read more

I called ahead to make sure they had time for me and my cousin, they said yes and to come in. We got there on time and had somewhere to be at 4:15. I figured an hour was more than enough to get a pedicure. Another couple came in at 3:30 for their 3:45 appt, by that time I was still getting my feet rubbed, no nail painting has started. At 3:45 the guy left me and started on his other clients. I was just sitting there waiting to get my nails painted. At 4pm he had not come back so I put my shoes on and waited for my cousin to finish up. He then checked us out and charged for her nails, and charged me $30 even though the main reason I came was for toe nail polish. I was confused why he was charging me even though he left me and didn't even finish my nails. I was so upset, he knew they were coming in at 3:45 so he should have had me finished by then. Getting your toes painted within 45 minutes is not something absurd to ask for. I felt like I was taken advantage of and should not have had to pay $30 to get my nail polish removed and feet rubbed. Not going here again unfortunately. read more

Honestly, no one paints nails better than they do. I used to go here regularly but then I moved. Just stopped back in there today and had an awesome pedi and gel manicure. This is my favorite nail salon in the area! My daughter and I always enjoy going. It is clean, you can usually get an appointment the same day and the manicures and pedicures are great! They treat my daughter very well - giving her the full treatment. They do an excellent job trimming cuticles without hurting and the pedicures are relaxing and last a long time. The man waiting on us was on the phone asking if someone could do it-- a few minutes later, I noticed one of the female employees laughing at us. This is the cleanest nail salon I've ever been in. There's never any trouble getting in quickly, and it's very quiet and peaceful there. They do a great gel manicure. Mine lasted over 4 weeks! They didn't give me a chance to pick out a color for my toes before they had me in a pedicure chair. I picked out a color for my gel manicure and asked them to match it to a pedicure color. They picked something out that at the time looked similar but then when my nails and toes were done they didn't match at all. Since my feet were already in the water I couldn't get up and pick another color. It was very hard to communicate with them and the woman doing my manicure had to redo several nails and I'm still not happy with how they came out. Won't go back unfortunately. read more

Had gone there many times- was quite happy until the last time I went for a pedicure. The pedicure was fine...until I went to take off the nail polish and found I had been given a nail fungus as well. NEVER before have I ever had anything like that happen to me anywhere I have ever gone. I am worried about my feet - I crtainly hope this is something that will go away and my nails will return to their former perfect health. I will never try another salon!!! After being a weekly customer for YEARS, I moved to West Hartford. For the past three years, I have tried every salon in my new location but was never satisfied. Occassionally I would return for a pleasurable experience but being about 45 minutes away from my work it wasn't always feasible. Out of frustration, I returned this past week and know this is the place I will go back to for my regular shellac manicures. The shellac actually stays on!! The sacrifice in time is worth the results I am able to enjoy. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! The salon is beautiful and emmaculately CLEAN.
