Was looking for replacement coils. Found Up 'N Smoke on the internet and decided to give it a try because of a review I read that they we're helpful when asking questions. Heard about a hookah flavor called, Alchemist. Turns out Up N Smoke is the only smoke shop from Turlock to Modesto that actually carries it. Actually, they carry a lot of flavors that I haven't seen in any other smoke shops. So I went in, and bought a few flavors to see that all the fuss was about. Literally, it's amazing. All the flavors are great. They smell great, they look great, and they smoke soooooo smooth. Two rounds of coals and my shisha bowl wasn't burnt. Jay helped me, and he was very patient and attentive. I have come to this place for over a year now with always good customer service... The,the owner / manager was always very cordial and service orientated ...unfortunately I had an episode with him last week that was very disturbing . I had paid for a product in advance because he was out of it and was going to pay the remainder when I came in again. He was going to charge me more for the product because it hadgone up in price... that was not our agreement. I put down the first payment for the price that it was at the time... not only did he not keep his agreement or his word... he was being dishonest ...he has now lost a good customer because all that mattered to him was the almighty dollar ... he lacks integrity. ... honesty... and his word holds no value anymore. DO NOT BUY PRODUCT FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bought a torch there yesterday, and within a few hours it wouldn't reach past a half inch flame. Brought it in first thing this morning and showed the employee (the same employee that sold me the torch yesterday) and asked him to check it out (maybe I was using it wrong) and he agreed it wasn't working correctly at all. After admitting this he refused to give me a refund; understanding store policy I asked for a discount on another piece or store credit and he offered $8 off another torch.. that's it. Similar to the two other reviews, I had an experience where I bought a product that was in sub-standard condition. Upon coming to the store the first time I felt like I was being sized up inappropriately as a woman. The storekeeper made it clear that he thought I was beautiful and this also made me uncomfortable continuing to come in and get services from him. I bought a "hookah ecigarette" product after being pressured to use it in the store, and without being informed of the policy regarding use of the product. To avoid drama and confrontation, and to avoid further sexual tension, I simply bought the product. The salesman insisted on handling it for me in the store, and was incredibly delicate with the purchase. Upon getting home, I figured out why. Trying to remove the plastic filter at home, the product snapped in half all too easily. It was a completely hallow construction and not well-affixed at the seam. It seemed like it wasn't even safe for a young toddler's grip. I was accused at the store of breaking the product intentionally, when the person being dishonest was actually behind the counter. I will happily take my business somewhere where customers aren't pressured into buying products and are given full refunds for product malfunction. The apparent 'cartridge' on my product was completely hallow, no reinforcements, eggshell construction. I lost 10.75 to this store because they chose to stock user-unfriendly products that are flimsy, and also push these products on their customers by insisting the products be defiled and rendered unusable by others who might buy the product. I would advise not coming here, obviously. My experience here was dehumanizing and sleazy, and as the employee said it was just "MY experience." Unfortunately, I'm not the only person who has had the experience of losing money at the store. I lost more than an hours work at this store for something I didn't get even get one use out of. Check the other reviews for this business and decide for yourself if this place is worth spending your money on keeping up and running. read more

Took it back next day n told me no returns, I then said I understand I would just like to exchange for one that works and is NOT broke, he then told me no he doesn't do that either! Loved this store when I first went there. However I recently needed to buy a new tip for my pen. I brought it in so I could make sure to get the correct one. The price was fair but the new tip broke when I tried to put it on in the store. The shop keeper saw it happen and did not replace it. It was obvious the tip was defective but it was not replaced. A shop should stand behind the products it sells and replace something that is obviously defective. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. What a rip-off/con! Bought a $25.00 vape pen. When I went to use the refillable cartridge I found that the plastic cylinder was cracked and leaked out all of the CBD oil when filled. Went back to the store and the guy gave me a song and dance that he would contact his supplier and call me. I waited 5 days. There was no call. Went back and he tells me that he would sell me another one at 1/2 price. I told him to go to hell! Any posts that gave it 5 stars have got to be friends, family or associates. I went in an bought a glass piece and when I got home I realized there was a crack in it. When I returned to the store and informed the employee he said it was my fault that I didn't check for cracks before I bought it. He did not apologize or offer my money back or an exchange.
