Extremely Customer Service friendly very welcoming cigar store in Modesto. Been an occasional cigar smoker for 15 or more years and can say this best cigar shop in my opinion anywhere in northern California with the biggest election of top brands, the hardest to get brands and sizes all in stock and case quantities of your favorite cigars ready to go. Highly recommend going here prices are very reasonable and not outrageous like some cigar shops do on their hard to get stuff. read more

Great Lounge! Stopped in while I was in town for a few hours and by far the best selection I've seen for any lounge I've been to. Would need to go online to match their selection. Prices are fair considering all the California Tobacco taxes and the ambience was great as well. Friendly service and very knowledgeable staff. The staff have always been extremely helpful in helping me narrow down what to get if I want to try something new. The lounge is comfortable and good conversation can always be had with club regulars. Wish I could come by more often. Let's keep yelp real!!! Im from Modesto and had no idea this was here until a couple years ago. I've been here a handful of times now and have had a great experience every time. The humidor is stocked, almost overwhelming but in the best way possible because I was able to find sticks that I don't often see or are usually unavailable (sobremesa brulee & undercrown shade). Great selection, variety packs, cigarillos, and plenty of cigar accessories. Every time I walked into this establishment I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance in the Humidor. I have not gotten a chance to smoke inside but when I am back in town it will be one of my first stops. Highly Recommend! read more

I've been a Charter member since it was opened on Standiford in Pioneer Village in 2011. It's got to be without a doubt the largest walk-in Humidor in the State of California and an enormous excellent selection of premium cigars and fresh aromatic and soothing pipe tobaccos including cigar humidors, lighters, pipes, and all manner of smoking accessories. I travel quite a bit these days. On my to do list, is always a bit of pampering and self care to de-stress, relax, and disconnect. Usually on that list, day spa's, and cigar lounges. Cigar Club, does not fail to deliver. Without a doubt one of the largest walk in humidors I have seen. The layout, stock, accessories, etc is top notch. The cover a lot of brands and a lot of price ranges. The lounge, oh man where do I start.... There's about 20 spots to sit inside. All super comfy lounge or study type chairs. Super comfy. The Fireplace (faux) TV stands are an awesome touch. Lighters, and ash trays everywhere. Nice touches. Everything is extremely clean, even the hardwood flooring. Impressive! And this doesn't even include... Yup, a private out door patio. Not completely covered, which is really nice as well. The crowning jewel here, really is the people. From the staff to the patrons. On the day I was here, just top notch people. Warm, welcoming, and I'm an out of town person. Yes, I highly judge people on this. It sucks when you don't fit in. There wasn't even a sliver of that feeling here. Stop by, say hello. Pick out a stick, (the staff will ask how you like it cut! Kudos, in how they responded when I say I cut my own). Being a cigar "newbie", I came in here with minimal knowledge. Very impressive humidor. A bit overwhelming actually. Not sure of his name (Anthony I think) was very helpful. I purchased several cigars, mostly his recommendations. One in particular he said was outstanding. I tried that one last night (Oliva Gran Reserva) wow, amazing. That was a completely different cigar experience. I wanted to smoke one of the others on my way home. He even cut it and toasted it for me. I did not try out the lounge area. Even though they have an unbelievable selection, don't believe the reviews! The place is nice, the people are nice, the cigars are always EXCESSIVELY DRY! Every cigar I've ever purchased (from Mod and Sac) has popped, split, or unraveled. They are always rock hard. The humidor in Modesto is too large, and the selection doesn't turn over fast enough. Same day smoking is impossible. Pricing is also to high on Premiums like Padron and others. After my fourth visit, I am done. read more

Arguably one of the finest cigar lounges within a 250 mile radius. Have had nothing but a great experience with the employees, customers, entertainment, events, etc. The humidor has about everything you could want; I'd be shocked If your smoke wasn't in there. Although I don't pipe smoke, it seems that selection has a large variety of pipes and tobacco. Update 8-9-18: I now pipe smoke and they walked me through what I need to know, handed me literature to further my knowledge, and helped me get my initial pipe kit. I have been a regular here at the cigar club since they opened. You will not find a better humidor And cigar selection anywhere. The owners Albert and Adam smoke all the cigars and they learn their customers tastes and pick out amazing cigars. The monthly events are amazing. A lot of free stuff and cigars and discounts on boxes of cigars during these events. The atmosphere is amazing too, overstuffed chairs, flat screens, nice outdoor patio, private lockers, ice machine. and you can become a member with even more benefits. Having recently turned 18, one of my friends offered to buy me my first cigar. I walked in knowing nothing about cigars. I'd usually be uncomfortable in a situation like this, but the staff was very friendly! About a minute after walking in, they checked my ID (of course) and offered to help. I said I had no idea what I was doing (and the HUGE selection didn't help), and they showed me around and made about half a dozen suggestions. They explained to me what to look for, the main differences in cigars and sizes and whatnot, and gave me some variety with their suggestions. I made a purchase based on those. After buying the cigar, they offered to cut and light it for me, which was great since I had no idea what was going on. I'd never even seen it done before. After they lit it, I sat down in the cozy lounge with my friend. A guy across from me noticed that I looked young, so I mentioned that it was my first cigar. He took it upon himself to teach me! He told me how to hold the cigar, and explained how to smoke it without inhaling the smoke. He also explained a few rules of etiquette and gave me a few tips, mentioned that whatever I drink will probably taste different with a cigar and suggesting coffee. To my surprise, the cigar club sells coffee! Overall, my experience was great. I'm not sure how many more cigars I'll smoke since I didn't think it to be amazing (although it was an enjoyable experience), but the atmosphere of the place and the comfort really allowed me to have a nice first experience. I will definitely return if I'm ever interested in another cigar (or pipe tobacco)! read more

Adam knows his cigars! -Good pricing. -Large facility, comfortable lounge, large screen HD TVs. -Ventilated very well. Even though the lounge (separated by a wall of hanging beads, classy looking) is pretty close to the cashier island, the whole place breathes really well. -Having been to Cigar Shops in various states, including Nevada (Vegas), Santana Row in the Bay Area, these guys not only rival in the above-mentioned categories, they trump them.
