I just want to update now that I've been here a handful of times.. This is definitely the best smoke shop in town. The guy (I should really learn his name by now) who seems to always be there is super chill and always has an upbeat attitude and is really nice and down to earth so you always have a good experience going in. He also always kicks me down some discounts or throws something in which is really cool and going above and beyond what he has to. One time he even gave me some water bottles for me and my pup 'cause it was such a hot day. I also want to reiterate what a completely opposite experience you'd have at Yo Mama's so save yourself that nightmare and just come here instead! I called asking bout disposable vapes and a replacement g-priv mods but the dude I talked with just acts like he don't know shi or he must not really know shit. I was in need of a smoke shop that carried a straight menthol e-liquid (not in salt nic). I have been to a couple shops in Modesto but no one carried something that met my needs. I saw this shop one night and decided to give it a try today. Zach (and the owner) were very nice and helpful! I ended up buying two bottles! Lol Their prices are very good. Just went in to Cloud 9 Smoke Shop, where I had bought a couple things 3 months ago. I just asked him to show me what disposable vapes he had in stock right now, and he snickered, "I told you the same thing last time." I said I thought he was being a little rude. He said, "Well, you said the same thing last time you came here a couple months ago". I told him I just won't come there anymore. He said "BYE!", very disrespectfully, as I was walking out. I can not believe how incredibly rude this guy was, for no good reason at all. There are plenty of other smoke shops in town, who are owned by very nice people. Talk about a jerk! So I was a client of this place and I actually recommended people to buy here but today I take all that back. I had the worst experience here tonight. I came to the store and I was looking around, I found the perfect piece. The older guy came over to help . I asked him to see a few pieces on one of those occasions he drop a bowl, and when he tried to get it he hit his head on the corner of his shelf and got super mad, he took it out on me and my friend. I told him I wanted that if he could change the bowl and he got mad told me no because I'm am "not a customer I am a looker" I told him I was sorry he got hurt but it wasn't our fault he got hurt. He continued to be disrespectful and told us he wasn't going to sell us anything. List of things I bought there in the past. Frozen hookah hose, coral rings every time I run out, 3 vapes, and vape salt juice when I need it....... I'm very disappointed at my experience, I really hope I get an apology for this event because I used to love this place and don't want to have to have a bad word for this place. read more

i was truly looking forward to becoming a regular customer here, seeing as i live around the corner but unfortunately i had hands down, the worst costumer service i've experienced in my life. i was essentially being reprimanded for not wanting to buy more product than i had initially intended to. i had called looking for a certain vape juice and when the man (Johnny) said he would hold onto it for me, i was very grateful & appreciated the thoughtfulness. unfortunately upon arrival, he thought i had said that i wanted three and when i explained that wasn't the case (because i definitely didn't need three bottles of vape juice) he got visibly upset with me and stated several times that i had "cost him a sale" he became extremely rude, even after i attempted to change the subject. it clearly was just a minor misunderstanding but he made it much bigger and inappropriate than it needed to be. long story short, i left the place in tears. i believe that no matter what, under no circumstance, do you take your anger out on another human. you really never know what someone is going through and treating people with kindness and decency can move mountains. i'm really not one to leave yelp reviews like this but i'm writing this so no one gets treated the way i did tonight. read more
