I bought a bong here a few months back and had really good customer service. I recently went in and they sold me a vaporizer that turned out to be some contraption the owner made himself. I returned it twice but each one they sold me either didn't fit or was too hot to vaporize concentrates. It just caused the wax to flare up. Despite this being an obviously defective product the store refuses to do anything about it, and I am out $90. I will never be shopping here again. read more

This is a general smoke/head shop. I met the owner and he was a really chill guy. He talked with me for a while and showed me a few items he had for my needs. Reasonable prices and a good selection, multiple choices for disposable electronic cigarettes. read more

I have been coming here off and on for a really long time. I bought one of Jay's first version of Vapor Dab (battery still works too!). I continue to go in for upgrades and replacements. All the staff that I have met have been very knowledgeable and helpful. And Jay has been awesome too when I have seen him in there. He has recommended products and has even told me the downside (if any) to them. I love the honesty and openness to allow for me to make my own decision on products, rather than just up selling me or pushing a product. Sadly, I have moved out of state and have not been able to find a smoke shop that I like nearly as well. I want to continue buying from Smoking Jay's, but to my dismay, there is not an online shop Love you guys and miss you much! read more

Owner and his daughter were kind and informative. I am fairly new to vaping. Really appreciate their positive, laid back vibe. Their pricing is really cheap compared to other local shops. Bought my first vape pen elsewhere and came here for juice and coils. Came in twice in hopes they had the coil. With not luck, I purchased a new vape pen. Then, I misplaced that one too. But, found the first one. So went back to the shop a third time, hoping they had the coils yet. No luck. Decided to buy yet another pen (was falling back on cigarettes). Exact same one as the last one I bought here. It was an opened box and he dropped the vape when showing it to me and it was the only one left. Unfortunately, it was defective. Few days later when I got back into town, came in to exchange it and check again (4x) for coils for my first piece. No coils. No more of those pens either. The co-worker (he and his wife are generally kind as well, love their sweet boy) showed me a similar piece at the same price range ($20). I looked at the bigger piece ($100) and said I'll just upgrade to the larger piece. Unfortunately, he was absolutely angry, not annoyed but straight up angry with me for assuming it'd be an exchange ($80 for the new piece instead of $100). Buyer beware, they have a no return or exchange policy, even for defective product. Businesses are not permitted to apply the no return/exchange policy on defective product. If you pay for a service or product and don't get it, you get your money back. It'd be a business loss filed in taxes. For a customer to get stuck with a defect, that's theft or fraud. Glad I found out with a $20 piece and not the $100 one. BUT they really are the cheapest shop I've found. Found a shop and they do (by law) exchange defective products. read more

Don't come here unless you want to waste your money. I've been randomly coming here for years and they've always had reasonable prices until my visit tonight. I went in to get a replacement bowl for my piece. I picked out a purple one that matched it, a super basic clear bowl and got 5 glass flower screens. When the guy was ringing me up the total got up to over $30. I mean I could've bought a new smaller piece that would've came with a bowl for that price instead. Super disappointed and will be finding a new shop to go to in the future. read more

Went in to today and Brent was extremely helpful and gave me some good recommendations. Great customer service! I will be returning!

I feel like the manager could be respectable but he's got some unprofessional employees. Don't know gals name, but curly haired young gal (nice) didn't recall the faulty black torch she sold me two weeks ago, no acknowledgement or anything? She hardly talks, & didn't understand/explain the vaper dab enail sh*t at all! She needed to talk more, it was unprofessional and awkward. They need to open up on both sides of shop too, half of it being lit, the other dark & dreary is eh. Sorry manager when u read this but I took globs on breaks & managed good sells no issue, no excuse! read more

Just bought the absolute last thing I will ever buy here at Smoking Jays (and I am a very frequent vape smoker!) I am sick to death of this companies terrible customer service policy, NO EXCHANGES OR RETURNS- EVER. Everything I have ever bought from this place has either broken or been mis-manufactured from the start. The Vapor Dab tips they sell are not even real vape dab tips as they do not fit the vape dab pens. They have absolutely no care or concern for their customers satisfaction and when I showed the lady at the store that the vape dab tip broke while trying to put it on my vape pen- she said all she could do was sell me another one. Thanks-NOT! With all of the vapor stores around the area I would go to any other one rather than Smoking Jays. read more

Smoking jays has a wide selection with prices that meet everyone's needs. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I love Smoking Jay's! Their prices for everything are spectacular! Great selection of torch lighters, smoking accessories plus clothing, Bluetooth speakers and more! read more

I needed a quality 410 vape cartridge battery. They pointed me towards a Stoner-X battery. Okay, sold. Turns out the Stoner-X is a dab battery. I have zero use for a dab battery. Now, just three days later, they will not accept the still sealed item for a return. Their error, their profit. What a scam! read more

Great service and great conversation. Beyond helpful and answered all of the questions i had. Alana, She deserves a raise. read more

Stopped to get some cigarettes. To say selection was limited would be an understatement. Looks like they are into vaping and not so much cigarettes. I won't be back. read more

Best shop around! Warm, friendly atmosphere with awesome products. The employees deserve awards for their excellence in customer service. We were having some trouble with an item we had just purchased, and their helpfulness, product knowledge and problem solving abilities led us to an item that was better suited for our needs. Every time I shop at Smoking Jay's, I feel like a valued customer. I highly recommend this smoke shop being the first you stop at, especially if you aren't certain on what to buy. The people behind the counter treat you like a friend, and not a sale. Thanks Smoking Jay's! read more

Not much of a pot smoker, but the store is not limited to fine glass tobacco pipe ware. I do smoke fake tobacco gravy, and they've always been very nice and I believe if I were to take up fine "throat clearing" pipe ware it would be the first place I would go. If I got dropped on my head and suddenly started to like shirts with stuff on it and posters and baseball hats, well I may just stop the occasional flyby & frequency, Thanks you guys read more

Best smoke shop around, period!! The guys that work there are such cool, friendly people and very knowledgeable about their products. Also, extremely patient...they always are happy to help and let me take eons to figure out what im going to buy!lol. Theyll pull out any of their pieces to show u and let u look at them no matter how many u want to look at without feeling like you're inconveniencing them or something like most places. They want u to be happy when u leave with your purchases and genuinely care about their customers...so rare and hard to find! I wish i lived closer to Modesto so i could come here more, theyre the shit! Highly recommend, dont go anywhere else! Thank u guys ur the best!! read more

Had an awesome shopping experience tonight with Alana! So knowledgeable with excellent service. And the store has an amazing variety... better prices... and quality than the shops in SF. Will definitely be back to spend my $! Thx Alana! read more

Jay's sells faulty products. I have been coming here for years, and always was taken care of in a fair way... but this new girl? I dont know if she's new or just a moron but I bought a vape for $70 and all the fluid keeps leaking out, I went back several times and the RUDE girl who works there wouldn't help me, I asked of they could tell me why it leaked, " Nope" she replied, well can you give me another tank? " no and your wasting my time" she rudely replied! OmG I wanted slap that b@#! She told me to go to another vape shop if I wanted help in any way. WOW! nOW IM STUCK WITH AN EXPENSIVE ITEM I CANT USE! read more

Can't vouch for other products, but the SMOK Vapes are shitty knockoffs! BUYER BEWARE

Definitely my favorite smoke shop in town. Great selection. Great prices. Cool people.

Bought a box of Kangertech coils from them. After scanning the QR code on the box, it turns out to be FAKE coils. Will not be visiting this place again... read more

Drove from Atwater to visit this Smoking Jay's. I was NOT disappointed. Very nice and organized shop. The young lady behind the counter was extremely helpful and polite. I didnt catch her name as a flood of customers entered after we did. She gave us a GREAT deal on a new rigg and accessories. I didnt intend on buying it, but it was a really good deal. She even gave a demo on how to use one of the products i purchased. Definitely recommend this shop. Great selection and really good prices too. I will definitely make the trip again. read more

I must have gotten there at the wrong time of day... or week. The kid working the store seemed too busy to talk to me, though me and his friend were the only ones there. I guess gaming chat was more important. He couldn't answer the most basic questions about their product, and when I decided to leave, I said "Well, thanks anyway", I didn't even get so much as a "Kiss my butt" as I walked out. I found a better place to do business not too many blocks away. Their reputation was good, so I must have had that one unfortunate experience. But honestly? I hope they got rid of that guy. .
