I'd give this ZERO stars if I could. I had this business package a little plastic midi keyboard weighing approximately 6 pounds, sent from Los Alamos NM to Ellensburg Wa. They charged me ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS! Some bull crap excuse about the box size (maybe 3 ft by 14 inches?). The second excuse was that is was being shipped to Washington? WTF? It's not like it was going to Japan, or somewhere across the world! I would have backed out, but they had already bubble wrapped it, with tape. DO NOT GO THERE!!! read more

A confused, unreliable place for package delivery. I don't live in Los Alamos but needed a 100% reliable street delivery address. The UPEX contract I signed provided an INCORRECT mailing address "to use for all shipments": 106 Central Park Square (actually a defunct business nearby). More frustrating, I had noticed it was 108 on their letterhead, so I called about the discrepancy in addresses the day after renting the box. I was told to use 106 by whichever clerk answered the phone. Sounds like no biggie but after 6 months I have discovered half a dozen missing packages from amazon alone and haven't even started checking my eBay or PayPal records. I only discovered their mistake recently when an amazon package was marked "delivered to residence's mailbox" but I had no notice of the package at UPEX and UPEX had no record of the tracking number I provided. Turns out, UPEX didn't even know their own contract had such an unconscionable error directing mailbox renters to use an address unrelated to UPEX. Now, I have to review nearly 6 months of online orders to see what I never got. Clerks are very nice there, but really, shouldn't UPEX get its own mailing address right? This proprietor proceeded to insult me personally, calling me "such a male chauvinist pig"(!) She then said "Oh, I want to punch you so bad!" I said "Okay, I'll call the cops on you," to which she replied "Go ahead, I know all the cops, welcome to town, motherf*****!" UNBELIEVABLE. Worst. Experience. Ever. Let me tell you about Alison Bennett, co-owner and the person I had the misfortune of dealing with today. I brought in two watches for battery replacement. She spent about 10 minutes with the first one, then told me she "needed my muscles." She said the back was on too tight and asked if I could loosen it, handing me the watch and tool. I made an attempt, and then she said "Oh, use this cloth or you'll cut your hand open." I finished loosening it, then realized I had already sliced two of my fingers before she mentioned that danger. She let me into her washroom and gave me a Band-aid, and I waited some more. Eventually she handed the first watch back to me and went to work on the second. I said, "Uh, it's missing a piece," and she said "What do you mean it's missing a piece?" as if I had just insulted her. I pointed: the metal buckle on the end of one strap through which the other strap is supposed to go was gone. She said "Huh," and started looking for it. After a couple minuted she said "It's not here." I said it was definitely there when I brought it in, and she said she didn't know that it was. Then she proceeded to help another customer who had come in while I waited, making me wait another 15 minutes. When she finally got back to me I told her I needed to get back to work (I'd been here half an hour at this point), and she said again she didn't know the watch was whole when I brought it in, at which point I started getting upset. She then told me she didn't "need my s***". I said at this point I'd be happy with my watch back in the condition I gave it to her in, and she got progressively more upset, raising her voice and insisting she was not at fault and I was out of line. After a few minutes of this, Melanie, Alison's mother and other co-owner, came in from the other room and tried to calm things down. This did not work on her daughter. This person proceeded to insult me personally, calling me "such a male chauvinist pig"(!) She then said "Oh, I want to punch you so bad!" I said "Go ahead, I'd love to call the cops on you," to which she replied "Go ahead, I know all the cops, welcome to town, motherf*****!" First time at the local shipping company, they ship fedex and ups - I had two packages, one pre-paid UPS and one box to send to my brother in CO. Transaction was smooth and quick, a surprise as I was there at 1 pm. Prices were reasonable, location was easy and parking plentiful in the adjacent parking lot. Good find, good thing 'cause I ship once a month at least. read more

This is one of those businesses that do not appreciate customers and act like they are doing a favor to those that stop by.

Tried to ship some boxes with prepaid UPS labels for work. They wanted $3 per box to apply tape and maybe handling. Not an official UPS store I was told. I was not paying $3 out of my pocket so I have to find an official UPS store. They were nice about it. read more
