I remember as a kid going to their old location near where Food King and Domino's Pizza is now. I've gone to a few of the other laundromats in town and really don't like them. The machines here are easy to use. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you have issues with machines. They have free coffee if you go in the early morning. Some days/times are very busy though, and it can get crowded. I think they are under new ownership now. The change machines that were recently added are very convenient. The bathroom is always clean. I've been going weekly over the past couple years and have seen the pieces on the machines go up a couple times, but they seem to be consistent with the other places in town.

So I was surprised that when I had a couple of box springs I wanted to recycle I couldn't find a recycling center or city dump to take them to. There was absolutely nothing online directing me on where to go. Fortunately one of the metal recycling centers I did talk to knew of the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station. From there, I was able to find it online, but then when I went there I was told it was for commercial use only, and then was redirected to this correct address. Whew! Anyway they do charge for dumping here, but their fees are reasonable. They accept green disposal items such as tree branches and so on.

The Plaza is beautiful, full of charm, there are many historic buidlings around like the Palace of the Governrrs, many museums with architecture alike a pueblo, cathedrals in Spanish Revival sytle, great shops, art galleries, restaurants. This is the kind of place with so much personality that is hard to describe. They have events here often, market, the place is lively with lots of cultural activities to discovere, Georgia O'Keefe Museum is a must, but there are so many other great museums and small galleries that you can pop in any time. Santa Fe might remind you of a cute town in Mexico but it has its own original features, it is such an unique place!
